They are the best and friendliest places. Excellent food and service. All of the breakfast sandwiches and burritos

Best apple fritter I've ever had. The crispy, salty edges were perfectly balanced by the sweet, creamy apple-y center. My boyfriend got the 3 pigs breakfast burrito. It was exactly what he wanted after a long night of work. The staff was professional and sweet. read more

We wanted to try a hole-in-a-wall asian-owned donut place and this place had high reviews. The lady taking orders was rude for no reason while I was ordering donuts. Bad attitude the whole time. The husband was super nice, but the interactions with wife (the lady) just felt unfriendly and uncomfortable. read more

They had several options for vegan donuts I got a donut and the vegan breakfast burrito they were amazing. I couldn't finish the burrito it was so big!! Amazing donuts with great staff. I brought donuts for my team and they kept coming back for more. The prices were reasonable for the high quality. I tried a donut for myself and loved the fluffiness of these donuts. They weren't overly sweet. Everyone kept asking where these donuts came from, had to let them know it was worth the drive into the city! I would love to come again. read more

Highly recommend getting the donut lasagna! The owner told me she bakes all the leftover donuts and glazes it. It's amazing and crispy on the outside but soft and doughy on the inside. They also have delicious breakfast sandwiches and burritos. The owners were so friendly. I'll be back!! read more

Got a couple donuts and a couple breakfast burritos and I'm just so impressed every time. Just a no frills classic donut shop not trying to be anything that they aren't, which is hard to find in a fancy donut city like Portland. So often apple fritters are fluffy and lack and crisp. There's is downright crunchy with the perfect fluff inside. 10/10. The breakfast burritos are nothing fancy, but they have the hashbrown/egg/cheese/meat balance down to a science. Only criticism is I think their salsa could use some work, but there are plenty of store bought hot sauces to supplement and the burrito is good on its own! Lastly, the service is just so friendly and attentive. 5 minute wait for a fresh to order breakfast burrito. We asked if they had any strawberry donuts left, the owner hops in and says, "I'll make you one right now." Goes in the back, hand dips it, hands it back with a smile. Oh ya, you can buy house plants, labubus, and pokemon cards if you need any other reason. read more

Best Apple Fritter I've had in Portland! Friendly customer service and a fun interior. Especially the painted Llamas in the bathroom. I've taken the 6 bus from the stop out front, and hadn't even noticed a donut shop next to Plaid Pantry. Thanks to a PBOT bike ride meeting up at Delicious Donuts, I was able to enjoy a great new family owned business. Tried a couple of donuts and liked them both, as well as the coffee. Looking forward to coming back! read more

Decided to check this place out on my most recent trip to Portland, and honestly... wow. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in the city, all thanks to the incredibly rude woman working behind the counter. I showed up around 6:30am. There were maybe three customers total, so it wasn't busy at all. Yet I watched her full-on berate every person in front of me. One woman wasn't stirring her coffee fast enough and got hit with: "Are you going to finish!?" "You took the oat milk away." "Oh well I GUESS I'M FASTER THAN YOU!" Like... hello?? Then it was my turn. She started mumbling something behind the counter while putting two apple fritters (which I ordered) into a box. I thought I'd be polite and asked her to repeat herself, thinking the question was about my order . She scowled at me and snapped: "ARE YOU JORGE!?" "No, I thought you had a question about my order." "NO. I ONLY WORK HERE." Then continues on a long rant, much of it mumbling, scowling the entire time. Her miserable attitude left a worse taste in my mouth than the donuts did , and the donuts were mid at best, as you can see from the photo. Portland has amazing donut spots. This ain't one of them. Hard skip. Never returning. read more

We discovered this spot while looking for breakfast sandwiches for a work event -- and wow, what a find! We ordered their breakfast sandwiches served on glazed donuts, and they were absolutely AMAZING. Every single person who had one raved about it. The bacon portions were generous, and grilling the donut takes it to another level -- it lightly caramelizes the glaze, creating the perfect balance of sweet, savory, crispy, and soft in every bite. They were so good that we literally drove an hour just so my husband could try one for himself -- and it was 100% worth it. Penny, who is truly one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, suggested adding a hash brown to the sandwich. Best recommendation ever. It added the perfect texture and made an already incredible sandwich even better. Both times we visited -- Thursday at 6am and Friday at 8am -- they were packed, and it's easy to see why. The food is outstanding, and the kindness and customer service go above and beyond. This location truly outshines others. If you're even considering trying it, do it. You will not regret it. read more

Love this spot! The breakfast burrito was so good. And the staff there are so friendly and welcoming.

A Portland Must Every. Single. Time. Whenever I'm in Portland, this place is a non-negotiable stop. It's one of those rare gems that blends incredible food, local charm, and genuinely warm service into one unforgettable experience. From the second you walk in, you're hit with cozy, cheerful vibes. The shop is adorably decorated with donut-themed art, playful pops of color, and nods to the local scene that give it that perfect Portland personality. There's even a curated section where you can browse and buy plants (!), which makes waiting for your food feel more like browsing at your favorite neighborhood boutique. Who doesn't love a little greenery with their breakfast? Now, onto the food. The breakfast burritos? They've never missed. Always fresh, flavorful, and filling. But this time, I took the owner's recommendation and tried her favorite: the breakfast bagel with hot cheddar, cream cheese, and bacon. And let me just say... she did not steer me wrong. Melty, savory, indulgent, it hit every note. Bonus points to the staff who are consistently some of the friendliest people you'll meet. Welcoming, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. This isn't just a quick bite spot it's a whole feel-good experience. read more

Rudest owner and employees. I was helping my boyfriend do door dash orders and asked her if everything was in the bag because door dash makes you confirm every single item to make sure it's all available and they will be receiving it. The owner was offended I was showing her my phone to confirm all items are in there , and proceeds to yell at me saying I only have a job because of her, as if there aren't thousands of places we get orders from in the city of portland... Also, while waiting in line to be helped there was a woman pouring creamer into her coffee and I guess the owner needed the creamer for something and told the customer "you need to pour faster" while yelling at a black man to get out of her shop because he appeared homeless even though he had money in his hand waiting to buy a coffee from her :( I understand some people have caught her on a "good" day but treating everyone that's purchasing from you and keeping your business going like that is garbage. Also when you've worked in customer service long enough, you can catch the fakeness from other employees, but I'd be miserable too if that was my boss. read more

Donut delivery.. please and thank you. Fresh and airy for the glazed donuts, even the next day. The eclair wasn't filled with anything so i was bummed about that and looking for the Boston cream. Fun toys and stuff for the kids, cute plants, great breakfast, and amazing service that feels very welcoming!

I've been here twice. My first visit, I was lectured by a lady on how to order a donut. She kept repeating how she has worked in this industry for 30 years and knows what she is talking about. The problem arose when I requested two glazed donuts and two chocolate frosted glazed donuts. She refused to understand what I was trying to order even as I pointed to them behind the glass. Apparently, her goal that day was to lecture me on how to order donuts in her shop. Even though it's got donuts in the name of the business, they do not allow (me) to call them donuts or they will not give you your order. They are cake or raised or you get nothing. Very comedy TV show from the 90's Seinfeld soup nazi vibe. We got through it. I confirmed. The donuts were delicious. read more

Too bad these are the best donuts in the state. Too bad the people who own the place, and seemingly everyone they hire (most of whom tend to stay for years!) are uniformly delightful. Odd how they appear to treat all their customers, from the big spenders in fancy cars, to people counting out pennies and nickels to pay, with kindness, patience, and respect. Strange how the most basic cake donuts are straight up perfect, and things just improve from there. Special props to the apple fritters; as terrific as everything else is, these are fully perfect. And luckily, they hold up well in the paper bag, so I can order (and eat) an ideal maple bar, drive to the wilderness, and hike the necessary fifteen miles to justify the caloric hit. And luckily, they're closed for a couple of days each week, so I am able to accomplish other things besides waiting in line to buy donuts. Also, since Yelp wants to know, I would describe the ambiance as: "urban donut shop," in the best possible way. read more

AMAZING prices for delicious donuts with really fantastic friendly service. A lovely adorable mom and pop shop that I enjoyed more than Voodoo. Prices were great for the regular donuts and the breakfast items. They had a great selection of drinks and foods. Only sad that one of the days I went to visit they were out of donuts by 11:30AM. I was looking for some place to grab some pastries for work and stumbled upon this small family business and they did not disappoint!! The drinks, donuts and breakfast sandwich's are loaded and super affordable. I got a viet coffee (strong and delicious), Jaedan's breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon, and half dozen of donuts, which came out to $28.50 after tipping. I loved the wife's personality because she was keeping the best and goofy attitude with a line of customers. Some may think differently, but we have to keep in mind that it's a small business and not a corporation, so whatever they want the environment to be is what it is! I am obsessed with the breakfast sandwich because it was LOADED. I'm a sucker for cheese bagels and breakfast, so 20/10 on my rating. It was also sweet knowing she named the sandwich after one of her children. Parking is small and shared with plaid pantry so if it gets full, you may have to defer to street parking. read more

GET THE APPLE FRITTER. Delicious Donuts is a mom and pop shop located on the east side. It seems unassuming, but the locals know that this is where the good donuts live. The apple fritter was voted multiple times to be one of the best in Portland, and I could not agree more. It's crunchy, perfectly sweet, and fresh. You know by the taste that they were fried fresh that morning when you get them. All of their other specials are equally as good. I have yet to go back for their famous breakfast sandwiches, but I will be back soon and more. read more

This Place is very dissapointing, the service was very disappointing . My 1st visit was shock how the young man talk to me, when I ask if the donuts were fresh and made that morning , he snap at me in a very rude tone! I wanted to snatch his ass over the counter and ask him who the fuck he was talking to , but I didn't! Then on my second visit the lady was rude also! When I was trying to figure how many and what kind of donuts I wanted to purchase! The three apple fitters I purchased were Burnt to a crisp and were soaked in oil! I will not be going back and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!! Stay away from this place!! read more

I was in town for a wedding & delicious donuts was just a few blocks down from our hotel. Was up early due to the time difference, so a dear college friend and I set out to get some breakfast. What a treat! It was challenging to decide which donut to try, I went for one with peanut butter and was not disappointed - it was delicious! save you cheat days for these donuts! Had voodoo donuts before and they are a little overrated. This is the real deal. The variety is unbelievable and many, many unique flavor combinations reflecting the family owned business family and heritage. We ordered the bad grandpa - apple fritter with maple glaze and bacon. It was humongous and mouth watering delicious. The owners are husband and wife and if I recall correctly, high school sweet hearts. They pour their heart into what they make and are friendly and welcoming. The woman shared how she came up with bad grandpa (he had a major sweet tooth) and the bad grandma donut (who had an even bigger sweet tooth!). They also had Asian inspired flavors - pandam, lemongrass, etc. I wish we could have tried them all. Next time we are in Portland, we're ordering a dozen and will just have to hit the trails harder. This is a lovely shop with lovely people. Please continue to support local small businesses that have heart, kindness and wonderful food! read more

What a special treat visiting Delicious Donuts! On my venture around Portland for Donut Day, this place was highly reviewed so had to stop in and check it out! Delicious Donuts is next to a Plaid Pantry, in a small parking lot area- I lucked out and scored one of the up close spots. A lot of people ride bikes and walk / take the bus in this area, but the parking lot was crowded! Due to covid, only take-out, and the line was spaced 6ft, making it out the door, but it relatively went quickly! I visited around 10am, and majority of their selection were gone! Dang, but I did get a matcha flavor cake donut, and a cookies n cream donut! Both were delicious! The best part? They were handing out free shirts! I grabbed one and told B and he went in and got another cookies n cream donut, and a shirt. What a special extra! And super fun shirts that we wear all the time, lol. I looked up their website and it's a couple who started the shop back in 2005, and wow, what a place it's turned in to! Really great back story and happy I went to support! Delicious Donuts is located in downtown Portland, on the east side of the river, 5th and E Burnside. It's quite a drive for me, but definitely will be back to enjoy more donuts! read more

I was looking for a donut place that has my favorite donut, an apple fritter.  That led me to Delicious Donuts. Well let me tell you, mission accomplished! Their apple fritter, while quite possibly being the biggest apple fritter I have ever seen, could also be the tastiest apple fritter that I've ever had. No disrespect to any other donut places that I have visited, this was just one darn good apple fritter! Their apple fritter had all the aspects that I love about a good apple fritter. Crispy on the outside with those apples and cinnamon on the inside. Most good apple fritters have these aspects, this one was just darn good. We also picked up my second favorite donut which is a classic glazed old fashioned and then some coconut bun. The old fashioned was just as it should be. Crispy edges. Excellent donuts here. Would love to get donuts here again if we come back to the area! read more
