Clockwise - crab legs, fried oyster, chorizo, green beans, chicken wings, and beef steak.

Cute little tapas restaurant with great service and some unique fusion tapas. Tapas were a bit hit or miss, some were fantastic, others were simply okay. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meal at this cozy, low key restaurant before exploring Grünerløkka.

In between of giving this 4 and 5 stars, but as they are such service minded they won the 5th star from me! I loved the atmosphere, the incredible service and the food of course. This place is easily reachable by a tram and is in the beginning of grünerløkka. It has a policy of no reservations so if you want to go there go either early like before 18:00 or late after 21:00 cause the line gets quite big. If you choose to be seated to the bar you might get a spot faster. We got one in 10 mins although there were 2 groups of people before us as they didn't want to sit at the bar. The food was good but I didn't like all the plates as much. We had 6 tapas between 2 people and it was enough! I loved the fried chorizo sausage, the papas bravas (potatoes with sauce), the olives and the scampi. I didn't like so much the meatballs in red sauce nor the tomatoes with cream cheese. 4/6 really tasty dishes is not a bad statistic! The service was also amazing. They made a mistake with our order and we got free chicken wings as they brought that instead of another dish and we could keep them. We had some funny comments from the bar woman and in the end I felt like home so we ended up having two more drinks each there. A great evening, recommended for small groups. Might be hard to get a table for large groups.

Holy jesus. This place. What are you doing in Norway and not California?? I've have some tapas in various places at home, and nothing compares. My friend took me here for my last night in Norway and it almost wish we had gone here first so I could've come here every single night for dinner! We got a huge plank of: Fried artichokes Green beans Steak Shrimp Chèvre and honey Chorizo Potatoes So of all listed above, the only thing I wasn't a fan of was The green beans and fried artichoke. Everything else was seriously some of the best food I've ever had and I can genuinely say the steak was the best steak in the whole entire universe! It was medium rare and incredibly soft but a crunchy outer layer. I've never been this excited over steak. I had to share with two friends and was trying to take all the steak without them noticing! Best restaurant. I also had some of the sangria and it was mixed so well! Service was awesome as well, people were very sweet and the place was packed. Clearly people love it also :)

    Awesome sangria

What an excellent dinner! Slightly off the beaten path of tourists but we thoroughly enjoyed our ~1 mile walk each way and loved seeing another neat neighborhood in Oslo. We had the following: Bread with alioli: must order! Delicious :) Beef: amazingly tender, delicious Special of the day cod: wonderful - we actually ordered a second! Green beans: spectacular Mixed greens with tomatoes, artichokes, and eggplant: our only complaint to oily Service was a bit slow but overall very nice. They don't take reservations on the weekends but we went on a Sunday and were seated in 5 minutes. Highly recommend! A memorable meal :)

What a gem! We were greeted so kindly and they made space for our table of 5 immediately. We were foreigners traveling from America, and lost with the Norwegian menu and overwhelmed with all the unbelievable options. Our server said she would order for us and put together a house menu. It was the greatest meal of our trip. Every bite was spectacular only to be surpassed by the next. Highly recommend this spot!

The place was packed, but we were able to find seats at the bar. We let Sara our amazing waiter choose our meal and it was fantastic.

Wanted to check this place out since it was close to my hotel. It seems like a fun place to check…read moreout, but it was not what I expected. Service: There is one host/hostess. There is no waiter for your table, and everything is do it yourself setup. You have to download an app to order your food and wait for a confirmation code to come to your phone. If you are from another country, the confirmation code may not work. Once you order from the menu, you have to pick up your own drink and food. Once you get the app working, you will get a notification to when your drink and food is ready to pick up from the designated areas. Ambiance: The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool but unfortunately it is very tight with the tables being so close together and not very big inside. Some areas seem very old and may need some additional cleaning. I do not like restaurants that use carpet as their main dining area. In addition, the majority of the sitting areas are high bar tables. I would say as well, even with the nice crowd of people, it was not very loud inside. Food: If you are looking for a fulling menu, this is not what this place is set up for. This place is set up as more of a finger food type of place that has orders placed on a wood plank, and again, you have to go pick it up from the kitchen yourself. Several items of food needed a bunch of seasoning. The only thing that was good was the drinks and the chicken wings. I would pass on everything I had. There are some vegan options, but even those need some additional seasoning as well. Overall: If you are looking for someone where to have a great conversation or just hang out, I would recommend this place. However, if you are in the mood for a fulfilling meal, this is not the place for you. Unfortunately, I can't highly recommend this place.

The place is enormous but wasn't very busy. It features two levels of seating, but the downstairs was closed off. The hostess let me know that this restaurant was app-based. No servers, well technically, you are your own server here. Drinks, food, or whatever you want is done through the app. So, I downloaded it and gave it a go once I was seated. To drink I ordered the rabarb/jordgubbs mojito which was a strawberry mojito. I liked it. Was a little sweet but hit the spot. To eat I ordered the pizza blanco, fish & chips, and chicken popcorn. I liked the chicken popcorn a lot since it had a nice, sweet flavor to it. I also enjoyed the pizza. I did not like the fish. The chips were fine, but the fish really didn't have much flavor to it at all. As items arrive you'll see your number listed on the app that it's ready for pick up. I think for me, because the exchange is so poor for American's, I felt like I was spending so much to do the work myself. The food was fine, but I would have liked to have had a server. The prices do not indicate that you're doing anything and everything yourself; so if it was a little cheaper than I'd be all for it- but again the exchange rate is where it hurts, not necessarily an issue if I had a bank full of Norwegian Kroner. It was an okay visit. Fun vibe. But as a visitor- one visit is enough.

I downloaded the APP and tried unsuccessfully to order drinks. I kept putting the wrong combination of codes in from my reservation. In the meantime, there was no one around to help. We left after 10 or 15 minutes. No one tried to stop us or ask if we need help. This is not a good place for tourists or visitors who are unfamiliar with this concept. The locals are used to this from COVID.

I sat outside on the awninged-in terrace on a beautiful late-summer night for a late dinner here…read more I was dying for some good wine, so I Yelped for "wine bar" and this place came up near me, so I headed straight over. The service, in fluent English, was friendly and attentive, and my meat lasagna (the daily special) was very tasty, creamy, and amply-proportioned. This restaurant seems much more Italian to me [menu titles in Italian too] than the "tapas bar" designation here, and I must say that I was greatly disappointed at the "vinbar" part of the restaurant's name. While they definitely serve wine, by the glass and the bottle, the selection is definitely not better than any ordinary restaurant, and there are not any particularly intriguing or unique bottles on offer - the list skews mostly Italian, but with several Spanish and French selections too. For sparklers, they had Prosecco, Cava, and Champagne; Italian reds included Chianti, Amarone, Barbera, Cabernet, Valpolicella, and whites a Pinot Grigio and a Soave, and some selections from other countries. It was quite surprising to me for a wine bar to serve wines without any mention of the vintages, too. That's a big no-no in my book. The glass of Chianti was 109NOK and the lasagna 149NOK, for a total of about $32.50USD. If you're looking for a decent, warm meal, Eger delivers. But if very good wine is important to you, you will be disappointed, as I was.

Went in here after walking around for a while, looking for a place for dinner. Had a chicken salad…read morewith penne, mozzarella, etc. The combo was really good..definitely hit the spot for me. Only problem was the chicken...seems it had been over cooked and/or microwaved to death. I didn't send it back because I was starving. When the server asked how things were when I was about 2/3 of the way finished, I told her about the chicken. She said she could have taken it back before, could take it back now, etc., but I said no....it was my fault...I didn't let them know. Anyway...what gives them a plus in my book....is that the server took 30% off the bill. Me, an American who would probably never be there again. High rating for the overall taste of the dish (minus the chicken) and doing the right thing. I willl probably be back before I leave Oslo.
