We hired them to help us move to our new home down the street in Star. They were awesome and arrived right on time. The two gentlemen were personable and easy to chat with while they moved our belongings and wife and I packed up the loose items. Delicate Touch Moving did an excellent job for us--moving our 2600 sf household to a large storage unit in two trucks for a reasonable price, advising us on selling items to avoid two trucks/crews for the move to Arizona. We moved with little notice, but Delicate Touch Moving met every deadline as promised, disassembling large pieces, wrapping our fine furniture and in thick blankets, delivering everything in great condition and reassembling every piece. Tim and Matt exceeded our expectations--for thousands less than the next two bids. I called the attorney generals office and they assured me the business was registered without complaints since 2014. I gave this company one star because they recommended a mover named Matthew Peppersack. We totally went around his schedule to meet his requirements for men and equipment availability. After rescheduling 2 times we accepted the day he confirmed would work. He confirmed the day and never responded to the Time. I followed up with 2 more texts and two phone calls asking for the time. He never responded. Just sayin if you want Delicate Touch wait for an opening in their schedule and DO NOT accept a referral to Matthew Peppersack. read more

We are in our sixties and needed a mover to pack and move us to a storage unit. We were assured by Jim they could do that for us after he came to look at the job and we set a date for them to move us. They showed up a day early. We tried to work something out but they decided to just leave and "take the bad review" and not return. Needless to say we tried to hire another company but most were fully booked or were only movers and didn't pack. We spent the next 4 days working between 15-17 hours per day packing and moving ourselves. Do you want to hire a company who double books and then decides to "take the bad review" and leave you stranded? Well, we have used Delicate Touch Moving 3 times now and had no issues. We have had small moves, but they have done a good job. Our last move was from our apartment, along with things in our storage unit, and putting our car up on the full tow bed. Two of Tim's guys came and helped us. We moved all the way from Boise to Florida. They had everything strapped down so well that even with one half a truck full not one thing broke, was crushed or fell over. There were some rough roads from Boise to Texas let me tell you and at times I cringed. So my personal experience, with 3 moves with Tim's company, have been smooth, pleasant and economical. read more

Ok, if you need movers, these are your guys. I have used them twice now and they are on time, efficient, hard working, friendly and trustworthy. Just a great group of guys who make teamwork look effortless and demonstrate real Idaho customer service. Jimmy, John, Joe and Bryce moved me from my BIG storage room and a third story apartment and worked so very hard. To top it off, I have an antique Steinway piano that is so delicate and they put it together for me like pros and repositioned the monster several times. They took great care to ensure they didn't touch any of my new home walls and placed everything right where I needed it. I've never seen guys with these kinds of big muscles treat everything they touched so gingerly. Even had to send them ahead to the apartment after dropping the first load while I had to wait for deliveries at the new house. These guys are a blessing and will move you with care absolutely anywhere you need to go for a reasonable price. Thanks guys! You're the best!! read more

If I could I would give zero stars. Absolutely terrible service. Broke my china cabinet and showed up 2 hours early and made us pay for the extra time. ZERO STARS!!!!!! By far the worst moving experience in Boise! Tim, the owner, is like talking to a backwoods, country hick, who has no idea about diplomacy. My first red flag should have been that they had immediate openings. Good moving companies are booked at least a week out. Second red flag was that they showed up without proper moving supplies. When I later brought this up to Tim, he apologized and told me he had the moving wrap in his truck, however on a follow up call he said real movers don't need or use wrap!!!! When I contacted him about the corner broken off my laminated granite table, he said he would take care of it next week. I followed up with photos to him and he later said it looked like I staged the scene with how nicely the broken pieces were laid out. All the time he's now trying to tell me that his attorney client told him so......as if I'm going to believe any attorney that uses these clowns to move! Tim offered to use Gorilla glue to fix the damage.....wrong! He initially told me that the one mover on my job was one more warning away from getting fired, yet he later told me that the guys swore up and down that they didn't break the table. Tim also tried to weasel out of any liability by telling me that I didn't call within 72 hours! There is NOTHING provided to the client, ME, that spells out their policies. By the way, I was on an airplane to SLC and gone for five days after the move......sorry. Also, does he really think I want to waste my time accusing anyone of negligence.....I'm too busy. However, I will tell all my friends, don't hire these incompetent movers. Really, the table is ONE issue with these jokers. My damaged, motorized bed bases $2000, are warped and I had to face the bad side to the inside. Simply put, these guys think they know it all, and really the worst truck packing job I've ever seen. Nothing delicate about this company...not with items, not with customer relations, not about anything at all. Many of my items were damaged. A large mirror box with 8 large mirrors missing at the end. Furniture put in the truck was upside down, and damaged and soiled when returned. Upholstered ripped. When I first set up the move, a date was set. Then when it came time to firm up plans, I was put off for a week, they didn't have me scheduled, which was a real problem. Even though two pianos were discussed at the beginning, one being a baby grand, the movers showed up without equipment, and were going to leave me stuck in California with a housefull of furniture to move until I to agreed to leave the piano behind. A good samaritan later showed up with a solution to the piano problem. My things had to go into storage. I quoted $500 to move everything from storage. At the end of the day, I was given a bill for nearly $700. When it was agreed to honor the $500 quote, they left, leaving heavy bookcases and other heavy items on the side of the driveway. They did the same thing at the house I moved from in California. They just left. Drove off. Leaving thousands of dollors of my things behind. In the end, both pianos had to be restored; they had been taken apart and not put back together: the lair on the baby-grand and been taken apart and not put back together, the sheet music stand that had recently been repaired was broken, and the sheet music stand on the spinet had been removed and not put back together. Save your belongs and your peace of mind. Don't hire these tempermental and clumsy thugs. read more

Worst customer contractual service!!! Paid top dollar without knowing that they would scam me from replacing the china cabinet glass that they broke during the move. Didn't even clean the glass pieces, and brought back a replacement that did not fit. Owner himself promised that they will coordinate with this 'buddy' of his who did the glass job and never heard back from them. After multiple calls, Tim finally picked up a call and harassed us. We were told that we should follow up with the glass company ourselves. We insisted on a receipt for the 'repair' to use as a reference and was refused. Left several messages but never heard back from the glass company! DO NOT use this company if you are expecting professional service and customer care for the damages done to your goods by these movers! Rating: Negative! read more

I understand that each customer's experience is their own. I had to move a family member to Boise. I arranged for a couple of guys to load a Uhaul in California (I have a very bad back and just can't lift heavy things anymore). Being so absent minded (which I am), I hadn't even thought of how to unload the Uhaul. Upon arriving to Boise I called several moving companies. One never returned my voice mail. Another was on the job and said he'd call me back, which he didn't. The third said they were unavailable. I called Delicate Touch and was able to make an appointment for the following day. Two employees arrived to the apartment complex on time. They were friendly, professional, and fast. They placed items where requested and did not damage anything. I would definitely use them again. I don't know how much it costs for them to use their own truck, but to unload my Uhaul rental was $50/HR for two employees for one hour (I believe they are a two hour minimum, so the bill was $100.....worth every penny). read more
