I've been going here for a couple years now and have no complaint. They know lots about pools....I have no experience with pools at all and I was able to open and close my pools with just their products and advice. I also learned how to vacuum, empty a pool and put a new liner in with just their instruction. They offer everything I needed and the prices are fair. John and his staff are very helpful with all situations. They test the water for my pool at no charge and do not attempt to upsell anything not needed. They will give you tips, assistance and spend time with you no matter what your issues are. The prices for chemicals needed daily are cheaper than all the competitors. read more

Just got off the phone with Delaware Valley Pools who claim to provide "repairs and advice for pools in Philadelphia, Delaware County and the Main line" (per their website). I called about getting an estimate for a pool repair and was told that Wayne is "too far" and they are "too busy". I was recommended to reach out to this company from a personal relative who has worked closely with Pete. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this company wants the business. I'm happy to look elsewhere since they weren't very helpful from the first phone call. I advise you to stay away from this rude and unhelpful company. I would give Delaware Valley Pools 0 stars if possible. read more

I used this company for a couple of weeks to service my 50,000 gallon in ground while I was away. They are knowledgeable professionals that are interested in sharing their knowledge to do it yourselfers like me. I regret not finding them sooner and having them do all of the maintenance over the last 30 years. Their prices are competitive and the pool never looked better! read more

This company was the worst I have came into contact with in a long time. The two owners both lacked customer service and spoke to us in a rude abrasive tone when we explained our dissatisfaction. We paid for our pool to get open, but it took them weeks before they showed up. We had to keep calling. They even told us we didn't need to be home in order for them to access our property. We had to let them know that we felt more comfortable being home. Instead of them trying to rectify the problem by opening our pool like they were paid to do, the owner kept arguing with us. Then responded by saying "I can't give you a date and time, but we will be there when we can". Keep in mind, this service was pre-paid. After waiting 5 weeks to open our pool, the owner had a nerve to say "do you want your money back because I don't have to go through this". My family could have hired another company within this time frame. When the pool tech came out, he had an even bigger attitude problem and informed us that he was not supposed to be there. Someone else was scheduled to come, but couldn't make it so he was going to make it quick. He started the process by using our pool supplies that we purchased (Chlorine, shocker, etc). He didn't use his own supplies although he received a few hundred dollars from us to do so. The service was rushed and he did not get to complete it. I'm sure this was because the pool tech did not arrive to our home until after 8:00 PM when it was getting dark. Nevertheless, the job was not complete. He made sure he told us that he was the owner and there was no one else to complain to. My family ended up going to their store the following day to request our money back. The owner tried to give us a check even though we paid with a visa card. The check was handed back to him and he was asked to return payment the very same way he received it. What's even more interesting is that he was arguing with another customer on the phone when we arrived. We figured this is the nature of their business and they don't feel the need to provide people with the proper customer service they deserve, especially since they are the only pool supply store in the area that actually vacuum and performs a variety of maintenance to a pool. I would never recommend this company to anyone because they use your supplies, lack customer service, and don't honor their contract. It's very disappointing to be new to the area and be treated this way. The precious owners of our property told us they were horrible. We should have listened! read more

Multiple phone calls that do not get returned, overpriced items, unknowledgeable employees. After a visit to the store and visits to the house, we will not be using them again. The last straw was worker coming over to figure out why the filter wasn't running correctly, he said he would just turn the pump on 24/7. He was asked not to do that unless he wants to pay the power bill!! So he set the program to run 9:00am to 8:59am, maybe being off for one minute qualified in his mind?? Never again. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Take your money elsewhere!! read more

Where to start. The owner/manager on duty is condescending and arrogant. The products in the store are over priced by almost double what you'll pay else where. I went in for a pool part and advice, after refusing to over pay for the part I was told to leave and "Ask Amazon.com" for the advice. On three different occassions I went into this store and was treated rudely and walked out feeling as though I wasted my time and/or money! (Luckily not my money this time).
