Fast forward to 4 weeks later and it finally was finished, incorrectly I might add. I was driving it to work the next day after I received my car back, mind you I already spent 2600 on the rebuild. When I was driving it back it would come out of gear so I took it back to the shop on that day. They informed me that my computer in my car was broken and it had nothing to do with them. Then they told me they would send me to their parts guy to get the computer so they could "make things right" their parts guy gave me the wrong part and I could not get a refund. They told me it was my fault and my car was not their problem anymore. After I got the correct part I got it installed at Nissan and I still had the isssues. I was informed that the transmission was not rebuilt correctly and they refused to honor the 3 year warranty that I paid for and did not offer to fix my problem. I would avoid this place at all costs. They are liars and thieves and I am seeking legal action. I seriously would avoid this shop they ruined my Car completely and took my money for a service they did not perform. I had to buy a different car because they destroyed mine. Please do not go here

In the middle of the job they tell me a connector is leaking and it will be another $250 to replace. I googled it and it turns out that this is pretty common and easy fix. The connector is actually $10 and everyone say it is a 10 minute job including the time to lift the car. When I pick up the car I show them a printout of the real price of the part and they lower it on my bill to $85 for a grand total of $365.78. It is clear that they basically try to take advantage of non technically-inclined people. Well, I end up paying the bill but for sure they will not see my face again and will do my best to warn others.

My search came up with Automotive Powertrain. I was able to get an appointment today and was impressed with the courteous, professional manner I was treated. I asked Darren if I could wait for my car and he said it was going to take time to examine and determine what was wrong. He mentioned they provide free van service so I could leave my car and when service was completed, the van would pick me up at home and take me back to the stop. Jeff took me home and I waited a few hours before Darren called to say the coolant lines were leaking, the gasket needed to be replaced, and they would take it for a test drive before he would call me to say it was ready. Darren said it should be ready today and also gave me a price quote. Around 3:00PM I spoke to Darren and said if my car would be ready today, I would have to leave within the next 20 minutes to take the bus to the shop before they closed at 5:00PM. Darren said the van was leaving to pick me up. To my surprise in about 10 minutes Jeff was outside my house in my car! He wanted me to test drive back to the shop. Darren said there would be no charge if I brought my car in two weeks later to see if there were any leaks. I told Darren I was so glad I took my car to Automotive Powertrain. I didn't keep any of my receipts but fortunately Lou does! He was able to make copies of all receipt documentation for the work that he did on my car so that I could show the insurance company.
