Barrel pics!!!! If you like Bourbon, and especially some…read morefruit notes in your Bourbon, this is the place to go ! I recently purchased a Elijah Craig barrel proof store 129.6 proof and I also got an eagle rare store pick! For the price, Elijah Craig is a steel or steal. It's solid and it's extremely cheap for the bottle! First crack I would say it's above average, but I'm excited to see what it taste like when it opens up. Also, I was super excited to see all the other single barrel pics that they had. These guys do a great job getting stuff that people want, and they are extremely knowledgeable about different bourbons. It's also cool to talk about the tasting notes because they pick them overall when someone knows what they're talking about it usually taste pretty good! They also have a huge wine section, we grabbed a Monte Puciato for a very good price and that was the favorite for Thanksgiving! Overall, this place is awesome. Everything you need but it's not like a typical liquor store. They are definitely one of the top in the state.

Yes it's true I am a alcoholic so you naturally wonder "why am I writing a review of a liquor…read morestore?" & the reason can be the things besides the sauce like say lottery, sports memorabilia, snacks & soft beverages & this spot has got her down pat. This is a fair alternative especially if you're not too much a fan of Riverdale St. & opt to not go to a certain one on that road in W. Springfield but this spot if you want beers got her as well as other spirits & such and another thing is this one has sports stuff (note for Bruins fans) & to even go a notch higher a skate shop (genius I'd say). Oh if you opt for the MA Lottery and to also redeem your empties too another bonus. So now you know.

They all have their own motif: - Bottle Shop is the big store: it has a whole wine rack and everything. - the one on Longmeadow Street is the small one that is kind of bright and feels like the place you'd buy cheap stuff. - This one's the classy-looking wood paneled one, where you would think you would find microbrews. Sadly, the beer selection here isn't as vast as Bottle Shop (probably because of the size), but they do have a halfway decent selection, as well as a good selection of other wares (like liquor and wine). So if you're in the Williams Street area, it's a viable option to pick up a bottle or a 6 pack.

I calculate that I spend at least $80.- $100.at this business. Today I was not offered a bag for my 3-pack of sparkling Lunetta wine. I grabbed the three-pack by the bottle top and whoa, the bottle pulled out of the usually hard to peel off cardboard container and the three-pack fell to the floor one and one of the bottles broke. The owner came out obviously displeases and scolded me for not holding the bottles from the bottom. I apologized and asked if I could replace the broken bottle with another one. The owner and the new employee said (not very nicely) "no" and that it was my fault. I am surprised that considering the competition in Longmeadow MA among the 3 package stores that he was so ungenerous. I told him that was not very nice to do to a regular customer (who in 9 months has never broken a bottle before). Thus I am transferring my business to The Bottle Shop Discount Liquors on Laurel St. in Longmeadow. They have a wider range of selection and charge about a dollar less for the little Lunetta 3-pack. It is a little bit further from where I live but I am pretty sure they would not blame the customer and would give me another 6-oz bottle to substitute. It is good business to do so.

This place used to be a local icon, but quality seems to have slipped. If scanning Yelp reviews,…read morefor the current state of their food, focus on the more recent ones. My wife and I went to Frigo's today (a Saturday). I ordered the "Classic Italian" and she got the cream of broccoli soup. Suffice to say, my grinder did not look anything like the featured photo on Yelp. For the "Classic Italian", I was expecting quality Italian bread loaf. Instead, what I got was a small, spongey, insipid roll of inferior quality. The meats were pre-cut and rolled into a small "cigar" that went into the grinder roll. This caused the sandwich to be unbalanced: when taking a bite from the left side, I got some meat, but when biting from the right side, all I got was veggies and bread. The sandwich was a chore to finish and I only continued to stave off hunger. Overall, the quality wasn't great. I have eaten much better Italian grinders at lesser known establishments. My wife complained that the cream of broccoli soup had an overpowering flavor of onions. I tried and spoonful and have to say I agree. The one redeeming quality is that the food was relatively affordable, with the "Classic Italian" costing $10 and the cup of soup costing $3. Maybe other grinders or pre-made dishes are better, but after considering what we got, we will not be back.
