It's definitely been hit and miss at this Del Taco for me. I've either had great friendly service or just plain bad. But I will say the few times I've voiced my issue to a manager they've been great. The food is usually pretty good. The fries are usually cooked perfect and the cream cheese bites are unreal. The chocolate shakes aren't very chocolatey, which kinda bites. They have a great dollar menu! The location is convenient next to the 15 freeway off ramp and located next to an AMPM. The inside is usually pretty clean unless they're busy. The bathrooms can get messy but employees are quick to clean up if you voice it. So overall I'd say it's a decent location with decent service. Definitely a hit and miss place. read more

I am writing this review because of what I feel about del taco corporate. Here is California there are wild fires everywhere. The smoke filled air is extremely unhealthy. My husband and I stopped to get him a quick taco as we are running errands. There are 2 employees outside forces to stand outside in the heat and extremely unhealthy smoke filled air. This air is extremely harmful to their health. Del taco should be ashamed of themselves. There wasn't even a big line of cars either. Orders can easily be taken from the drive through window instead of endangering your employees health. This is unacceptable. I. LOVE. YOU. MURRIETA. DEL. TACO. So the bf and I went to visit his lovely parents last. Yes, we went to Olive Garden again. Always a joy. Moving on. We ended up staying way too late so I decided we needed a little 'keep-me-up' snack to help us make it home (like I need an excuse for Del Taco). So we gleefully go through the drive through and I order my all time fave: egg and cheese burrito with no cheese and no sauce. Yep, only eggs. The stupid person in front of us had to have ordered one of everything on the menu because it took forever. FINALLY it is our turn and we get to the window. "Would you like mild?" NO, thats why I conveniently NIXED it from my snack. So she hands over my burrito. Heaven? Understatement. I have a weird temperature thing. No food is EVER hot enough for me (unless its oven pizza which nicely blisters the roof of my mouth EVERY time I eat it) and it can get to be quite unnerving. Not today. My fat speedy self was scorching the inside of my mouth with a mixture of eggs and the BEST tortilla I have ever tasted. I know I think that every time but this time took the cake. I'm in construction and on the road by 4am. Not many places you can grab breakfast at this hour. This Del Taco has a lit up sign that says "drive thru open 24 hours" and it's advertised as such. I've stopped by there 3 times over the past few months. The first two times the person working the register said that their machines were down and can't take orders. Today I stopped by hoping all was well. No one ever came to the drive thru intercom. I drove up to the window to see if there was anyone there, but the restaurant looked vacant, although all the lights were on. I can imagine the restaurant manager or general manager finding this acceptable. read more

Good service and the good was typical Del taco fare. Nothing crazy good or anything but everything was edible and good. We ordered two Del beef burritos, two cheese quesadillas, a large doctor pepper, and two 1/2 lbs bean and cheese burritos with green suave bold style. Yum yum in my tum tum. They are notorious for forgetting food in the drive thru, so I make sure to always check my bag. Well today they forgot a taco and when I told them the woman kept saying it's in the bottom of the bag, which it was not, she then start yelling it's in there, frustrated I removed all the food to show her, then she starts yelling give me the bags, so she can look through them. She is yelling the entire time "I put it in the bottom". She finally realizes it's not in the bag and gets us the taco. I have to add that this lady did this exact same thing to me the last time I was there. I think she was the manager or something but she is so rude and her customer service is absolutely terrible. I eat at Del Taco on a regular basis, and have for years. Mainly the bean and chees burritos, somewhat healthy and quick meal that I can eat on the road. This is the closest Del Taco to my house, and I have eaten there many times over the last 10 years. Recently I decided to not go to this location any more. This location on Hidden Springs in Wildomar is consistently inconsistent, with the quality of the food, the professionality of the employees and their ability to get the order correct. I frequent the 2 original Del Taco's in Temecula and the one on Mission Trail in Lake Elsinore, and can honestly say I have not been disappointed. Obviously it is a management problem, and lack of training of the employees. I absolutely don't want to insult young hard working kids, and any one employee at this location, I blame the management. Horrible drive-thru! Not only does it take 20 minutes plus , the person at the window was rude , hostile , and unapologetic about the long wait . I pull up to the window and the worker is saying "well if you don't like the service don't come back" for a second I thought she was referring to me but she was talking to her worker about the person before me . Pretty annoyed this morning. I only order Del Taco for its breakfast if I do go. I got in line at 10:50am & not sure if they just had a lot of orders or if they were just SLOW. But it took 8 minutes before I could even order and when I did this boy that came on the phone didn't know what he was talking about and didn't know how to speak up or talk. If hes new I'd give him a break but if hes been there for awhile I'd be worried. Anyways. This lady rudely jumps into the call 10 times louder and asks if I wanted a red or green burrito. I have been going to this Del Taco for years rarely have had a bad experience. But this is absolutely ridiculous, I waited over 30 minutes for my food not counting taking my order. The food was bad too. The tortillas for my burritos where hard, and my fries where cold. The doors are locked to go inside to order your food with no explanation, which leaves the drive thru even longer. I want to give the benefit of the doubt and assume they are short staff with new employees. If that where the case they should leave a sign somewhere so people ordering know and can be patient. It's right at the back of the Windsong Valley subdivision by the Stater Brothers. The fries are excellent, and nothing tastes day-old. Usually my go to place, been coming here for over 10 years, including my family. Over the years I have seen the decrease in value of my food, the carelessness. I have had good times here and very bad experiences. Majority are bad, the taco shell is old or tortilla is old, and barely any meat in the tacos, little to no chicken in tacos as well. I've had a experience where my whole order was wrong and when I had to drive all the way back the order was actually so messy and messed up nothing was made correctly.. I've had to call corporate multiple times and never once have I seen a change in the way my food is made. Considering their thing is freshly served and cut, I have never once seen that. Apparently employees are SOO essential here that they are exempt from wearing masks during a worldwide pandemic that requires everyone to wear masks. Must be nice to be above everyone and be the reason this shit won't stop spreading. The wait is horrible at this location. They make you wait at the order board so that the timer at the window never exceeds a certain time. I tried this place three times before writing this review. All three times I ordered the same thing; chicken soft tacos with NO lettuce. Let's start with th lettuce, there is always at least one strand of lettuce in each taco if not more. I feel like they put the lettuce and then are like "oh no" and proceed to take it off. Next, the portion size. 5 small pieces of chicken does not a taco make!!!!!!! Customer service is OK as long as you are nice they will be nice, they are not customer pleasing by any means.
