What to serve at my 46th year of hosting Book Club was keeping me up at night. I live in an apartment so have to entertain in our community room. Not so easy. Every once in a while, I love coming to Del taco so I can get chili cheese fries or they're delicious crunchtada, which used to be a dollar. I got myself my chili cheese fries and a cherry Coke today sounded delicious on a rainy day. I like this location. I usually come here since there's not a lot of Del tacos near me. It's a bit far but it's near flame broiler, which I like the parking lot big enough I usually go through drive-through and the girl that took my order her name is Selena and she was so sweet and Took my order quickly. As someone who has visited this location 3-4 times a week for the past three years, I've had more than enough opportunities to judge the food, cleanliness, and staff. And in all that time, hundreds of orders, I've never once had a bad experience. The dining area and restrooms have always been clean, the kitchen (visible from the counter) has never given me pause, and the food has been consistently fresh and correct. Which is why I was surprised to see a recent review specifically calling out Wynter, along with claims of poor service and cleanliness. As one of the first employees I met when I started coming here--along with Shelby, Tucker, and a few others who've been here just as long, Wynter has always been professional, friendly, and efficient in every interaction I've witnessed. She knows me, asks about my family when they stop by, and has never shown anything but patience, even during the busiest rushes. Could there have been an isolated mistake? Sure, no business is perfect. But to suggest that Wynter is habitually rude or that this location has systemic issues doesn't align with three years of my firsthand experience. If it did, I wouldn't keep coming back multiple times a week. I don't know what might have happened in that one situation, but I do know this: The team here, especially Wynter, Shelby, Tucker, and the other long-term staff, are a big part of why this location is so reliable. Every Del is different and the last Del I went to was very disappointing. It was in Riverside and I get that nobody likes riverside but there was alarming trend that made worry since I'm a regular Del customer and will continue to be until they go bad. Thankfully I've been reassured by this location that the example in Riverside might have been a one off scenario. When in Riverside, the crispy chicken taco was really bad, it was thin, too crispy and just terrible. No need to worry because as seen in this photo, this location's crispy chicken taco was excellent and back to its normal self. Got the green burrito, chicken roller and crispy chicken taco ... all for around $4. Get the Del app and you always get something free, the crispy chicken in this instance. Great service here. As far as Del Tacos go, this is a pretty nice one. The place is generally quite clean. The staff is typically, though not universally, nice. It's a safe area, and there is plenty of free parking. Plus, this Del Taco has the bathrooms inside, and they're unlocked and available. The food is typical Del Taco fare, maybe a little better than most Del Tacos. PLUS they'll give you all the hot sauce you want, within reason. Service is quick whether in the restaurant in via the drive-thru. Never had problem at this location and everything you would want from a fast food restaurant: fast, accurate, good price, and attentive. I have strange add ons on my food and it always gets executed correctly. Relatively well kept even on busy lunch rush. I love their green sauce bean burritos with extra sauce - while it is a pretty mild it has a good "depth of flavor" for a verde Grandson likes the soft beef snack tacos for their flavor and requests that the cheese be put on before the lettuce which allows the cheese to melt from the heat of the meat. I am a long-time Del Taco regular. I recently moved to this area and this location is one of the worst I have ever seen!!! For some reason, this location provides very little hot sauce packets, especially for relatively large orders. In the app, it says that we can have 3 packets per item. This location's policy is to provide 2 packets per item (and I am lucky if I get that). I placed my order through the app, and I went inside the store to pick it up. I chose to pick it up inside because this location always provides very few sauce packets when going in the drive-thru. We ordered 7 items, and I noticed the preparer only included a small handful of sauce packets. I asked for some additional sauce packets, and she said that she already included the sauces. There was a stand which included some additional sauces on the side, so I went to get some additional sauces. The preparer got mad at me for getting some additional sauces (it was like 5 or 6 additional packets for 7 items). She then tried to pry the sauce packets out of my hand as I was putting them in my bag and she then said "2 per item" (she had put in approximately 10 packets for 7 items). I said that's not fair and the app says "3 per item". I think it was extremely rude that she ripped the sauces from my hand and I can't believe the audacity she had to do such a thing. It was extremely unprofessional and rude. I am still shocked at this event. I can tell she was given clear direction from her manager to not provide hot sauce packets, and will go to semi-violent ways to accomplish this goal. Clearly, this location has no problems skimping out on their customers and does not believe in providing good customer service. read more

This location used to do well but has been declining in service over the last few months. Sometimes they forget to put items in the bag, sometimes they forget the important things like meat in the Del Taco. I have always returned to receive the missing item or get a properly made taco. It was annoying but hey, people make mistakes. Employees were always nice about it. So why the need for a review now? The other day we visited and ordered 2 Del Tacos with no lettuce or tomato. When we received this, there was so little meat and cheese that it was an air taco. My husband showed them the air taco and the employee said it should have 4 fingers of cheese. Husband pointed to the taco and said that is not 4 fingers of cheese. Employee then took his ungloved hand, shoved it into the cheese bucket and dumped a finger full into a ramekin. I can't comment too much on the food, but I will comment on my drink order: I ordered 2 large strawberry lemonades. Del Taco offers really good strawberry lemonades and they even add a generous amount of strawberries in their drinks. But I always ask for less ice. I specifically ask for light ice so that the strawberries don't get drowned by the ice cubes and I won't get short changed. Well, apparently they couldn't follow the less ice order so they filled my large cup almost to the brim with ice. I might as well had ordered a cup of ice with strawberry lemonade on the side. This Del taco is right next to my business I decided to go there as I was in a hurry I don't normally eat fast food but I was starving I ordered a taco salad , The gentleman said over the speaker when was the last time you've been to Del taco I said a long time I know the little taco salad isn't on your menu anymore but I thought you guys still did it?
