I regret coming here -- and I don't recommend it to anyone. I don't even know where to begin, so let me just break down why this place dropped to 1 star in my book: 1. Disgustingly dirty. Both the dining area and the restroom were in terrible condition, and the kitchen didn't look any better. Open sauce bottles sitting on tables, potatoes scattered on the kitchen floor, the drink station completely sticky and messy, trash left everywhere. A place where people eat should never look like this. 2. False advertising. The only reason we stopped in was the sign outside: "Thursday grilled chicken tacos just $4.99." The deal started at 3:00 PM, and we walked in at 3:04. We ordered exactly those tacos, but they charged us full price, as if the promo didn't exist. Sure, it's just a $2 difference, but it's not about the money -- it's about the dishonesty. You can't lure customers in with a deal and then refuse to honor it. That destroys trust and ruins a restaurant's reputation. 3. Slow service. How does it take 20 minutes to make tacos in a place with barely any customers? Even busy cafés with full dining rooms manage to be faster. This is supposed to be fast food -- the whole point is convenience and saving time. Here, it was the opposite. I can't imagine what would happen if they actually had a crowd. 4. Unsafe surroundings. The vibe outside was honestly sketchy. The type of people hanging around made us worried about leaving our car. Sure, the restaurant isn't fully responsible for who walks by, but interestingly, the shops and cafés nearby didn't give off the same unsafe feeling. At 6:45pm, Fri Aug 8 I ordered my favorite del beef burrito. I was waited on immediately by a very pleasant girl got my burrito in 2 minutes. I watched Anna T. prepare it for me with skill and care. I like the del beef but always it falls apart and proportions lopsided. I watched Anna make my burrito perfect. It's the best I've ever had from Del Taco in the 55 years I've eaten Del Taco. I've been coming here for over 10 years and still love it! The staff is always friendly, the place is clean, and the food is made fresh right in front of you. One of my favorite spots! Also if you're ordering a burrito make sure to ask for it well done you won't regret it ! This Del Taco is right on the hwy111. It's right next to the Holiday Inn and across from Embassy Suites. I always order from the app because as a member I get free things like nachos. I got the reason for the 3 stars is because I got the BOGO cheese quesadilla for my picky teenager. When he got it there was green peppers in it. The lady at the front said it was green sauce and I had not requested it to be removed on the app. She didn't fix it and my teenager refused to eat it. The service could've been a little better. Every day I get an egg and cheese burrito from Del Toco in Catherdal City , always it is consistently standard , and well made. A bad choice......DelToco near the Walmart in Palm Desert. I will not come here again!! Today I had the same item at Del Toco in Palm Desert. It was all tortilla and hardly any eggs. There is a gm there I caught his name it looked like his name was Andre and I did see a review that supposedly he is a good "guy" no he is not because one he looked like he was in his own little world. He wasn't standing properly more like he couldn't even keep his balance. He was very sweaty and dirty it looked like he couldn't even look me in the eye he was just having a really bad problem. I was waiting in line and he was just looking at coins I don't know what he was doing. I was waiting there for about 10 minutes until I noticed a young girl with stars I believe they were pimple patches on her face she helped me immediately she was very nice. Yay for beyond tacos! I have been wanting to try these since they were announced! Unfortunately they were announced during the pandemic when I was nowhere near a Del Taco! Huzzah for CA and Del Taco galore! We dropped by here for a quick to-go lunch order. Apparently so did a lot of other people! We were in the drive-thru line for about 15 min and then the young guys working the window gave us someone else's order. It took a min to figure that out and I think they probably didn't give the car ahead of us a part of their order! First of all; This is a review of the CHAIN not not just one location. In looking for food during my work lunch I decided on DT. Pretty consistent and tasty I knew what to expect. I have been aware that they have Birria but dismissed it until this morning because I saw they have Birria Ramen. Really? I'm a noodle fiend and I ordered it. I'm NOT disappointed; it's a pretty good amount and it's in consommé with onion cilantro and a lime slice. This stuff is truly craveable. Rich, flavourful with some meat. Now, I'm usually a Birria snob, I love the goat stuff but who among us actually eats goat? Not many that I know. This is great. I will get more. Excellent customer customer at this location. They went above and beyond to make our order. The gentleman at the counter was so friendly and worked with me to make sure he helped me get exactly what I wanted. He went and communicated with the cooks as well. When I picked up my order the woman who gave it to me double checked it and made sure I had napkins. I feel like this location genuinely cares for their customers. I was treated very poorly when ordering the food and then when I asked for hot sauce/green sauce. Two small containers for each burrito. The man tried to charge me. I explained that I use the sauce as hot sauce and the hot sauces were free. So why not is the green sauce free?! After some arguing. I told him to return my burritos because I can't eat them without hot sauce/green sauce. At this point. I got even worse treatment. What has happened to Del Taco? I received an email from the company for two free tacos, and was in the area. So, we decided to stop in and use the company coupon before it expired today. The cashier could not process the coupon and attempted to get the manager to help with no response. Finally, we requested his help. He was very resistant to help and we quickly found out why. He also did not know how to process the coupon, nor how to use the app. We finally said forget it and loudly said this is not worth it and unreal no one could process a simple company coupon and walked out. First thing I notice was there is NO DRIVE-THRU, the dinning area is larger than your usual Del Taco. The restrooms are inside, which is a plus. Since it's a retirement community it seems the staff are not in a rush and more laid back. The food was on point and overall I had a good dinner. read more

Drive thru open late so there's somewhere to go after band rehearsals with "musicians hours." Much appreciated especially, since there seems nowhere else to drive thru late in Palm Desert. Dropped my change when giving it to me and didn't even say anything she also threw my fries inside the bag, then I hear a commotion and she's going off on a worker just humiliating him, I felt bad for him!
