Stopped by this Del Taco on our way back to Texas and had the worst experience. It was raining and I tried the doors which were locked just shy of 8:15pm. Having a box truck, I gambled through the drive thru and was able to make it. I ordered 12 chicken soft tacos (those are the best.) although I had to repeat the order 3 times I was hopeful. After 10 minutes we were given 12 hard shell tacos. I notified them of their error (chicken soft tacos) and they told me to move to another part of the restaurant. 20 minutes later, one of the two ladies working handed me a bag and when I checked it, they were beef tacos. The one self described as the "manager" asked for my receipt and told me that "my error was ordering beef tacos". Since you don't have touch screens at the drive thru, I know whose error it was. I originally started going to this chain when I lived in Albuquerque. They had really great food and I loved their tacos and green burritos! Having moved to Oklahoma City I was skeptical if it would be the same quality and price because the Mexican food here is largely Tex-Mex which is too greasy for my palate. I was surprised that I received the same great quality food at Del Taco in Moore. Great customer service too! First time at this location. Its been a couple years since I've actually eaten at a Del Taco because the other location was in Texas. They had so much to choose from but didn't want a drink so I ordered 2 del tacos, a bean and cheese burrito, and a small crinkle cut fries ( I couldn't resist the fries, lol). Total was under $7 which was ok because the bean burrito was filled pretty good and the tacos was bigger than normal. The tacos were not skimpy at all, had a great flavor, very crispy and loaded with meat, lettuce and lots of cheese. The only thing was that the taco shell reminded me of Taco Bell like they buy their shells at the same place but the taco itself tasted waaaaay better than Taco Bell. The friea were hot and fresh and not heavily salted like some places. The bean and cheese burrito, which on the menu it says its a half pound burrito, which is probably accurate because it was heavy with beans and had lots of cheese. You have a choice of red or green sauce, which I chose the red, which is milder than the green. I went thru the drive thru which was pretty fast considering that there were 5 or 6 cars ahead of me. Monday July 7th, in the early evening I went through the drive-thru at this store and I ordered a large carne asada nacho with no tomatoes, extra queso and extra carne asada. I also ordered a large tea and 2 burritos. My total came to over $15, their credit card machine wasn't working and when I returned home I was disgusted with what I got for my money. We love this place! It's a nice "reward" for my two toddlers because they actually are allowed to get a Hi-C fruit punch when they come here. I love the seven layer burrito and the tacos are never broken and very full. My husband liked the macho nachos. The place is always very clean. I've only seen them mop with dirty water a couple of times, but they always have clean tables. The staff are generally very nice. One thing I really like about this place is they make their stuff fresh, for example their tomatoes are freshly cut everyday not frozen. Another thing I love is that if you have one person whose in the mood for Mexican and one who's not they have the amazing French fries with anything on them. It is a very cool and unique concept French fries and tacos. My personal favorite is the fish tacos, they have a great flavor! The reasons I wouldn't give it 5 stars is it is a little pricier for fast food and I'm not a fan of the chicken or beef they use in their entrees. They we good and seemed to have plenty of filling. the shells were fresh and the staff was quick and friendly. The second time the food was not as fresh and the tacos were not as full of filling. I loved Del Taco when I lived in Vegas!!! At one point I was eating their everyday. The only other times I have been their is when I went to Dallas and Ft Worth. I also get sour cream on my soft taco. The person behind the counter was training the other girl. She came off as a bit pushy. I know my Del Taco!!!! LOL. She tried to tell me it was special sauce. Ummmmmm nope...I want sour cream...with everything else. Finally she understood what I said and my order was in. Place looked clean but the condiment area seemed to be missing some compartments. I am not sure if it was me or what but the coke seemed flat. I get my order and get out of there. I start eating my fries and I was so sad. They were frumpy fries:( Like someone took them out too soon. Not the Del Taco I love. The chicken soft tacos were good. I love the spices they use on the chicken. I will go back another time. Is this review biased? Yeah kinda, i don't have a Del Taco back home but every time i travel somewhere that does have one i make it a point to eat at least one meal there. One thing about this location tho, it was the nicest, cleanest, most corporate ready location i have ever attended. The bathrooms were immaculate, the floor was almost mirror like, even the soda machine wasn't all dirty and it was already mid-day! I had the usual, one regular taco, one fish, one shrimp, one asada, one chicken and some cheesecake bites. While there the guy told us about a couple of new items on their menu, the one he recommended we try was a fresh chicken burrito. Honestly it was pretty bad, i don't know if they still haven't gotten the hang of how to make it but they should really take that off the menu. Everything else was as delicious as always, and the highlight of the visit was an awesome sauce caddy we had in the table where we sat down. Signs all over the building saying closed for remodeling. There are never vehicles at the location so I am pretty sure they are closed permanently and not temporarily.
