I was having issues where my car wouldn't start or the battery kept dying. Which didn't make sense since I would change for a new battery and it would keep happening. So when I was looking for a body shop to take care of my car, Mr Auto was one of the 3 locations I was looking at. The biggest reason I picked this location was because of the reviews and the response the owner or mechanics had for the customers. For the low star reviews, I liked how the responses to the customers were factually. Most reviews are based on emotion without any backing. So it was interesting to see the owner/ mechanics would bring up conversations, numbers and factual information. That told me they were attentive and knew what they were talking about. So I took my car there, it was a month long process because it was hard to figure out what was going on. It was an unusual situation. After coming back and forth for weeks, they were nice to have me keep my car there without extra charge because some situations happened only when I was driving and they couldn't trigger any of the issues so they thought it would be best to keep it. They only charged me the diagnosis price and finally after a month, we were able to figure out and it was such a simple small thing that cost little to nothing and completely fixed my issue. Since then, I come here for simple oil changes, because I can trust them. I know they take the time and don't rush. Actually during that month long situation, my battery died again and I was able to jump start it, but I had a smog check. Luckily I told the smog check place what happened and they didn't test it because it would fail since the car had to be driven for at least 50-80 miles. So I drove around San Diego and called Mr Auto and they told me to come in and they would double check my car to make sure it was good to go for the Smog check. Another extra step they did for me. It was awesome. They definitely make you feel safe and comfortable.

It's been about 2 months so far and it rejuvenated my love for the truck...now if I can afford the fuel bill to drive it But it came with a 3 year 36k mile warranty and they said if anything happens just bring it in and they'll take care of it. Oh, almost forgot. I had some upgraded parts and new parts to install and they did that for no extra charge when they put it back together .

I have been rebuilding a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ for three years now, and have relied on this team to advise me and perform the hard work of making it run like new again. Well, with 218,000 miles (plus), my Jeep is running better than new and I love it! Best customer service and loyalty to customers!!! Recently, I had to repair my front drive shaft as it was freezing up (after 218K miles, it's inevitable). They gave me a repair quote which was reasonable, and went to work. When I received my Jeep back a few days later, there was a BRAND NEW drive shaft in place of my old one. Lloyd told me they couldn't repair the extensive damage, however since they quoted me an amount to repair the old one, they only charged me for the original repair cost. The new driveshaft was significantly more expensive, but Manny said that when he gives a quote, he stands by his word. AMAZING! It's gets better... I took the Jeep home and noticed a vibration at higher speeds, so I consulted with Manny and Lloyd about it. The took it back immediately and did a thorough investigation on everything including the new driveshaft. Not only did they replace the new driveshaft with a much more expensive one, but they charged me ZERO for the work! I didn't even need to sign a paper when they returned it to me. I trusted the recommendation to have a solenoid valve replaced here called last week to get parts ordered and scheduled in bcos I live up north but work in San Diego. I filled out scheduling a visit that got no response. So I decided to give them a call as I've spoken to Monica and she is the one that does all paperwork and order parts. She said she'd get quotes and call me back. A few days went by no response, so I call again. I'm working on it, I'll call you back. Today is a new week and still no response. It's shocking when I tell people who recommended me, what I've began to go through and their responses were to contact the Dunns because that's not how they do business.
