It was alright. Yasmin was super gentle, which I appreciated. But I had tint left on my eyelid after I left, even after I pointed it out and she cleaned some off I still went home and saw more right above my lash line on one eye. It was also not the most relaxing experience, because they chairs they have are super modern and not very comfortable and the music is way too upbeat and loud. I guess that is the cool aesthetic they are going for here, but I am used to more relaxing lash lift experiences. The Groupon was a good deal, and I'd definitely consider going back for a lift without the tint. read more

I was told by the person who was processing my cancellation that I would be charged. This is why I was confused because I was told that this wouldn't be an issue by my lash expert. I had my lashes done last week. First of all they are kind of pricey $149 for lashes plus a tip. I wanted a fuller look and I got hybrid. They just looked like my regular lashes, nothing special. Plus, almost all of them fell off 2-3 days later. Will not be back and go to my regular place. read more

So upset over my experience just now. I went the first set to Madison who did a great job. She did the mist like every 10min and brushed and dried the lashes and they looked awesome. They even lasted through my vacation with me underwater at the beach. I just went for my first fill after becoming s member with Amy due to Madison not being available and she only used the mist once and there was barely any coming out and she did it for 2 seconds only. When I opened my eyes there were lashes ALL OVER my face and 2 GLUED TO MY Cornea. She said "oh use a cotton swab to remove it" yeah let me just shove a cotton swab on that part of my eye. I kept blinking and trying to remove it and when I finally grabbed it there was a huge ring of clear adhesive attached to that and my eye. And on my right eye there was a huge hole on the corner of my eye where all the lashes fell out once They were brushed. I told her there's a huge hole and I asked for it to be filled in. She barely filled it in and all she did was tape my lashes not use the gel pad. After she was done I looked again and still was not pleased but I knew at this point she wouldn't be able to fix them the third time. I walked out at 1:58 and as I was calling deka to complain At 2pm I saw her walk out with her purse so obviously she was in a rush to leave. I called and stated my vision is blurry and I can feel there is adhesive in my eye and it burns and there's a hole in my right eye and it's embarrassing to walk around like this and the lady on the phone said I'm sorry that happened we can offer a fix once every six months and you have to come back to deer park. Ok well 1. I live in Des plaines this is already a hike for me, 2. I work two jobs I don't have time to come back and forth to get this fixed I wanted it fixed immediately and she said no ones available to see me for 5min apparently and 3. I said my eye really is burning and I can feel the adhesive in there. All she said was I'm sorry we can see you tomorrow take a Benedryl. Are you kidding me?? What is that going to do?! THERES ADHESIVE ON MY EYE BALL this isn't allergy related! I am SO PISSED I have a membership and I'm locked in for another month and a half!! This is beyond unprofessional to make someone wait who's having this issue!!! I paid 120$ for a month and I'm missing half my lashes in the corner!! Oh I'm also a licensed cosmetologist and I'm certified in lashes as well and do them at the salon I work at (which I don't usually tell people when I go and get services done) and let me tell you I would NEVER let my client walk out like this especially if they are having a burning pain with adhesive in their eyes!!!! I also felt terrible not to tip even though I am not happy with the way they look and this burning pain I'm not the type to not tip since I'm in that industry but I tipped 20$ for a terrible service. Update ; I went back and still was not pleased. Almost half of the "fill" fell out. Now I'm stuck with this membership for another month at 120$ and I have to pay more to go somewhere else for a fill!! read more

I wanted to like this place. I really did. That said...this was an AWFUL experience. I ordered a Groupon and per the Groupon called to make an appointment and that went well. I made an appointment for 2pm and was told I NEEDED to be there 15 mins before that because I was a new customer. No big deal, right? Ugh. Wrong. I got there a few mins before 1:45 and tried to open the door and it was closed, I looked up and saw a sign that read that they were "away for a staff meeting" but that appointments would not be delayed. I waited till about 1:50 and called the number they have on their door. Well that number is not even to their specific location, the girl on the phone said that they had a staff meeting but they would be done with it soon...ok, so I decided to wait. 2:10 came by and still no one in sight. I call again and this time the girl on the phone said she'd call that specific location. Why on earth is that not the number on their on door or website is beyond me, but I digress. About 5 minutes later a girl opens the door and comments on how muggy and gross the day was and doesn't even apologize for the fact that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes! My lash tech, Amy, comes up and says she will be assisting me. At this point I make it known how long I had been waiting and she said oh that's too bad...umm what!? I asked her if the staff meeting was impromptu or if it had been scheduled for a while. She said she had known of it for a while. Why was I scheduled at the same time!? Makes no sense. The service was fine. Took longer than I expected but that was because we started later. Amy was ok with the service, but at the end she charged my card for the full price of the service!! I had a feeling she was lost in the transaction so I had my account open on my phone and saw that she charged me $169.99 on top of what I had already paid for the Groupon! A girl named Cindy came to help and made it seem like no big deal and said that the transaction would be dropped the next day. Let's hope she's right. Also Amy pushed a bit for me to become a member but why would I do that to myself? Overall I wouldn't recommend this place. Inconsistent :( My original pair was hybrid and it itched like crazy so I thought I was allergic to the glue. Also at least half of them fell out in the first 3-4 days. I called pretty quickly bc I had signed up to be a member and now I was stuck in something that I can't use. I was basically told it sucks to be me and I can't get out of the membership but I can use other services. I decided to cancel the membership but use my two refills I had already paid for hoping that it would get better or something ‍ The first refill was alright - not great because the lashes fell out in a couple days again but it wasn't itchy. I had decided to switch to classic to see if they wouldn't fall out as quickly but it was hard to tell if that made a difference or not. The second refill was great!!! I was switched over to classic, they lasted almost two weeks and there was no itch! Woo hooooo right??? Nope I went back for my 3rd refill and they literally hurt! The lashes hurt at the base(I cant really explain it but the area where the last connects to the lid hurts) and the glue burns (like... BURNS!!!) and half of them have fallen out... in 3 days! They lied a about membership and when this location will open....so when they did open I got excited to use the rest and start up again. Well since their employee lied about when the extra would expire I am now out $200, it all expired. So $200 down the drain....well not be back and will never sign up for their membership again. Poorly managed chain with Terrible customer service. Found a new place in downtown palatine that doesn't require a membership to get lashes done every two weeks.. Keep in mind I was charged on Nov 20th for $119 for the 30day notice. So nov 20th is the last of my membership and I would have 60days from that date....but if scamming is how you handle a business I am glad I learned in the beginning, and I hope this reaches more people so they know what type of business is being run here and the poor customer service. read more

Since this was my first time getting extensions, I was a little nervous at first. However, I was beyond excited when I saw the finished product- Heather did such an amazing job and customized a perfect look for me! Nothing over-the-top but it for sure made me feel super glamorous. Even my boyfriend pointed out how good my lashes looked! Heather was super friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions regarding care and what make-up I can/can't wear to extend the longevity of my lashes-- which was super helpful for a first-timer like me. I saw that Groupon had a sale so I ended up buying a lash lift. I've gotten lash lifts before(not here) so I know how they work and what the process is and how it should look and what to expect. Well I went in and originally they told me it would be an hour and a half, which is fine that's what u expected. They completely rushed the service I was literally done in around 45 min. While doing the lash lift the lady asked me if I wanted a dramatic or settle look. My lashes are naturally a little longer and curly so I wanted a dramatic look. Well when I was done I was extremely disappointed. During the process she also mentioned how my lashes already "look good" and "not a lot is needed" but I told her multiple times I wanted a dramatic look. The after looks exactly the same as before. They don't even curl up how they're suppose to look when getting a lift. My lashes were also all sticky and clumped up after. I am extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. I got them done today around an hour ago and they're already looking back to normal as if I had nothing done to them. I want a refund!! I called and they told me they would reach back to me, and I will be waiting for my money back because it was 70 dollars I paid because of tip and I want it all back. A month ago I went in for a fill on a Monday and I went out of town the next day. By the end of the week I had no lashes left, they all fell out. I contacted the manager (Which was not easy because when you call it goes to a main office for all of Deka Lash locations.) She made me a fix appointment to try again being that I have a membership and said I would not be charged. After the service I was charged for a full set! I feel that was unfair since the first tech didn't apply them correctly. I have been getting lash extensions, (which by the way were fuller and longer for less money), since January in Arizona from another place and never had a problem. This location is brand new. I used to go to the lake Forrest location but switched because heather, who does my lashes, relocated there. I love her work, she's always very thorough and my lashes still look amazing even when it's time for me to come in for a fill. People compliment my lashes constantly and always ask if they're real because they look so natural. I'll never go back to plain mascara ever again thanks to heather. read more

I have been using the Deka Lash salon in Deer Park for several months and I have had a lovely experience with all aspects of the salon, including the on-line appointment tool. I have used three of the lash technicians, so far, and they were each professional, caring and talented. In addition to the great results that I have gotten with my lashes, I am also impressed with the salon in terms of cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail. I love settling into the comfortable chaise lounge with a cozy blanket and taking a relaxing nap while my lashes are restored to beautiful natural looking results. I go in every two weeks for a refill which is exactly the same schedule that I kept at a previous lash salon. I joined the membership program and have found it to be extremely cost effective considering the member "specials", pricing and value. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with my new "home" lash salon. read more
