Company is ok, I've never met Viola, maybe I've texted her I wouldn't know as I've just been texting the number provided without knowing who she was. My main issue is that the scheduling system is all over the place here - it seems like they have a website site *and* another scheduling site open to make appointments. I've made appointments on both 4x, and have only gotten in once. A couple of times either no one's been there or they didn't have me down for an appointment. Then there's the once you get to the building - you don't know how to get it or who you're meeting unless you text the number and hope you get directions, or unless someone lets you into the building (my case) and just wander around very out of place - please let us know ahead of time what to do for all of that. Finally called it quits when I went to my 1:30 appointment and no one let me in, answered my texts, or answered the intercom. Waste of time, got my deposit back so maybe it just wasn't the place for me.

During my…read morefirst trial, Hillary commented that she appreciated honest feedback, but when I divulged that I felt my my skin tone/foundation matching was off, she became passive aggressive and defensive. Would not necessarily recommend her for people of Asian heritage. I should've know then, but decided to move forward because the rest of the make up looked nice and I thought things would be just fine. Now I love my family and friends, but with every group there's bound to be some difficult clients and family politics to take into account, and a wedding can only magnify that. I put together the bridal party makeup schedule--taking into account these considerations, but she said said that was "her job." As any bride knows -- scheduling & timing are essential -- so I found it unhelpful that she did not allow me to set the schedule. She does good false eyelash work, and the makeup looked nice enough for photos, though did not wear well throughout the day and night, despite reassurances that the makeup could withstand the heat, humidity, and tears. A few hours after application, the foundation on my nose had completely disappeared, and I had gone with airbrush foundation, so didn't have a great way to repair it. So yes, the make up looked well enough, but ultimately has a difficult personality and adds stress to the entire wedding planning process. Hilary did include a little "day of" emergency pouch to leave with the bridal party that included, q-tips, cotton pads, etc., and I thought that was a nice, considerate touch, but doesn't overshadow the issues I had while working with her. TL;DR: The make up looked nice for photos, but did not last throughout the day -- came off my nose within 3-4 hours of application. I found her extremely difficult to work with and I would only recommend her to people who can take the added stress on an already stressful day. Ultimately, I would not re-hire Hilary for a different event and if I could do it all over again, would go with a different make up artist for the big day. 2.5 stars

I showed her photos for my trail as I was doing my engagement shoot that day. She nailed it, she made me look so good and my hair was awesome. This year during V-day, it was the coldest day in Chicago and very windy. I was afraid my hair was not going to last the full photoshoot but I was wrong, my hair was perfect. My wedding reception was this past April, again Hillary made me look gorgeous. I never looked better. I usually never like myself with an up-do but I guess I never found a stylist like Hillary. My family, my husband, everyone loved how I looked. I asked her to stay longer so she can come to the photoshoot with us and she did. She ensured my husband and I looked great in our photos and did touch-up for me as needed. I cannot stop complimenting her, I loved her. I usually don't use the word "love" but I am this time b/c she made me love myself on 4/18/15 =). Thank you Hillary!! You are the best.
