I am so thankful a friend referred me to Dr. Burke about 18 months ago. My primary reason was for Invisalign. I have had such a positive experience that throughout my treatment, I decided to switch to Dr. Burke for all my dental services. It's about 30 minutes further than my previous dentist, but, very much worth my time. All of her staff are wonderful to work with. Very pleasant, professional, educated and truly passionate about their level of care. My bottom teeth were quite the challenge and their patience and dedication to see to it that my Invisalign treatment was successful makes me feel I absolutely made the right choice to make the drive from San Rafael to Napa. Thank you, Dr. Burke and all your staff. You're all very much appreciated!! read more

I was visiting from Boston and unfortunately had a crown come off. Dr Burke fit me in, checked my entire mouth and provided superlative care. Her work is exceptional and painless. The entire office staff was welcoming , professional and created a sense of calm. I feel very fortunate that I was cared for by Dr. Burke and her staff. read more

I went in for a teeth cleaning and to have two cavities filled. On that day, I did not want to have the two cavities filled. I asked to be rescheduled, but I felt pressure from the dental hygienist to do the fillings. I went ahead and had them do it. now I am in a bad way. This was done at the end of April .It's almost July and I can't tell you how much pain and agony I've been in ever since. She overfilled the filling and then I had her, try to fix that several times and ever since then my bite is off. Also, she gave me way too many shots ,now the front of my teeth are numb. When I ask her why the front of my teeth are numb she has no answer for me. Well, I don't think it takes a rocket science test to figure it out that she has done damage to the nerve and that's why the front of my teeth are numb. I now have major TMJ. I've always had TMJ which hasn't bothered me in years. but now because of what she's done it has flared up big time. I ended up in the emergency room because it felt like there was a vice on my head with a major migraine. I been in there several times to have her do something to fix this .she made me a guard .The guard didn't fit. I am never going back there. It's been a nightmare to say the least. I have spent a lot of money with this. Dentist number one because I want to keep my teeth and I want to take care of my teeth, she told me that we're all getting older and that my teeth are going to eventually crumble and fall out. That was not great to hear from her. I couldn't believe that she said that to me, especially after I've spent thousands of dollars in the last couple years with this Dentist and it's not like I have terrible rotting teeth either. read more

Highly recommendable, very professional, and responsive ... been going to this office for years. Satisfaction Guaranteed!

I sought Dr. Burke for her Invisalign expertise. I'm so glad I did! Before getting Invisalign, I was literally breaking floss between my teeth. Eventually I stopped flossing regularly because it was such a hassle. Now I can floss so easily that it's no longer a big deal. Thank you, Dr. Burke, for making dental car at home so easy! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Burke and her staff for their compassionate patient care and accurate professional fittings of new dentures. My mom is in her late eighties and had not had dental care for her dentures in many years. Difficulty eating due to sore gums led us to Dr. Burke's office. Dr. Burke did a thorough examination and cleaning of the area. She proceeded to take molds for new dentures, which when delivered fit so perfectly there was no need to come in for adjustments to the new set. Most importantly Dr. Burke and her staff were very gentle in working with Mom throughout several appointments. Though she moves slowly these days and I was taking care of payments, the staff always spoke to her directly. I don't always see that with an elderly patient, and it was much appreciated. We will be back for regular checkups! read more

This is a review about the front desk staff. This is NOT a review about the dental services, since I was unfortunately deterred from booking an appointment by the horrible service of the front desk. I called to ask about their rates & what my insurance would cover, and the conversation started out just fine. The front desk help DID explain to me that it depends on the fee schedule of my specific insurance plan and asked me to call back with my member ID (which I did not have on hand at the moment) but then proceeded to say it was RUDE to ask dental offices what their rates are. Every time I tried to explain that I was just trying to see what their out-of-pocket full cash rates were in order to shop around for something within my budget *before* I could get my hands on my member ID, she would cut me off and start explaining the WHOLE thing about what a fee schedule is over again. She was repeatedly interrupting me, missing the point, and giving me information I already understood. It's also not okay to call people "rude" for doing their due diligence on what dental offices would be within budget for them. That's ridiculous. I am sure the front desk staff do not reflect the quality of the dental services, but the helpfulness and friendliness (and ability to talk to you without insulting you) of the front desk help *IS* important. I would recommend they invest in training their staff in better client service practices. read more

I had a chipped molar that needed fixing several times, eventually resulting in a crown. Because of my bite that crown also chipped, which Dr. Burke fixed several times. Eventually we realized a porcelain crown wasn't going to work and she put on a GOLD crown for FREE, to back up her work. Her office may not be the cheapest but the service and personal care is unparalleled. Thanks Dr. Burke! read more

I am very disappointed with the entire billing process and horrible service of front desk, I called twice ( after Dr. Burke sold her business) to specifically make sure she is "in network" dentist with MetLife, and explained that because my plan covers 100% diagnostic and preventative with "in network" dentist, it is important for me that it is what I should expect when the bill comes in (that I will pay $0, and they will get paid whatever rate they negotiated with MetLife). But after a routine checkup and cleaning I was told by MetLife that they are out of network, and of which I had to pay... I understand that dentists must make a living, but not by using an unethical practices in billing. Dr. Deirdre G Burke is an exceptional dentist who I reccomend. read more

Wow, this place has changed! It's grown a lot, and, unfortunately, for the worse. - I was told they take my insurance. They didn't mention that I was out of network and only 80% of services would be covered. I wouldn't have gone here if they would have let me know that. - I wanted to see Dr. Burke, but was seen by Dr. Baumgartner. She lacked the warmth I was used to years ago when I was there, and did quite a lot of work that I'm not sure was necessary. She was adding items she wanted to do after I had received a shot of Novocaine and didn't feel like I was in the best decision-making capacity. I had her stop so I could at least ask if my insurance would cover everything she was doing and she said that yes it should. - I went back a few days ago for a cleaning and was told in front of other people that I owed money. I had never received a bill from them. They hadn't update my address information. - I was told I owed $200 and some dollars. I was embarrassed and confused as to why. I immediately called Delta Dental, who informed me that this practice is actually not in my PPO network. Delta Dental told me I owed $119. - I emailed Dr. Burke about the above issues and she told me her office manager would handle it. (Thanks). I returned a call from their manager and she was very combative on the phone and talked over me on several occasions. She refused to take any responsibility for the poor communication by the staff. I will be sending them a check today and looking for a new dentist! read more

Dr. Burke has been my dentist for 15 years and even though I moved to SoCal 4 yrs ago, I still fly up here to see her. She has not only been my dentist but also handled my Invisilign. She is soft-spoken and gentle. I highly recommend her! All of the staff are personable and helpful. And ask for Mishela for your cleaning! She is a perfectionist and a wonderful person! read more

I have been faithfully going to Dr. Burke for 20+ years, and so does my entire family, including our 4 kids. She is excellent in every respect. Dr. Burke is highly trained and always keeps current with all the best practices and the newest developments in her field. Her dental assistants and other practice partners are also excellent. Dr. Burke has always extended our family the highlest level of care for a variety of dental issues -- from basic checkups, to chipped tooth repair, to wisdom teeth removal, to deep cleaning treatments, to Invisalign. She has now guided 3 of us through Invisalign mostly to correct misalignment. We could not be happier with the results -- so much so that we opted to switch from our orthodontist to Dr. Burke for this service. Her staff is highly professional, the rates are fair, and they help manage payments through your insurance coverage plans. I have referrred many people to her over the years and they have all been grateful to finally find a dentist they like going to. read more

I have had only excellent experiences with Deirdre and her staff for over 10 years. The whole staff is so personable and make sure that you are comfortable throughout the experience. My friends claim that they don't enjoy visiting the dentist, but I can't relate. read more

We were referred to Dr Burke by our great dentist in the city, as we now live in Marin. Unfortunately, the practice pales in comparison to our old dentist. The practice is housed in a less-than-updated building, the staff was well intentioned but brusque and failed to even introduce themselves (the hygienist) upon starting the cleaning. What happened to "hello, welcome to our practice, nice to meet you. My name is ____ and I'll be your hygienist today?" One gets a nicer hello at Denny's. The most unfortunate part of the visit was that Dr Burke was absent. I can't imagine welcoming a new patient (much less a referral) to our practice and not being present. Why isn't a dentist always present when their hygienists are performing teeth cleanings and check ups? The piece de resistance was that when it was time to do the gum evaluation, the hygienist had NO ONE to assist her in reading off the numbers, and upon asking her fellow hygienist to assist, we all overheard a "No, I can't, I'm busy" - so my hygienist had to ask the RECEPTIONIST to help. Honestly, it was seriously amateur day. We will not be returning. Dr Burke gets two stars only because she was not there to represent herself and her practice came (surprisingly) highly recommended by our former dentist. read more

I was a first time patient seeing dr, burke's office for a routine teeth cleaning appointment. Several weeks later I received an additional bill and reached out to her office manager and Dr. Burke for clarification. I have yet to receive clarification, although I receive regular billing for unknown services. read more

I've been going to Dr. Burke for something like 7 or 8 years now, and I simply can't say enough about her. She is an amazing dentist. Seeing a dentist is far from my favorite thing in the world, but I know that when I see her, or anyone on her staff (Dr. Valee is also amazing!), I will have the most comfortable and least painful experience I could possibly have with any dentist. She is very skilled, she is kind, considerate, fast (not too fast, but fast enough to get me in and out quickly) and overall a super-nice person. I can't recommend her and her office enough! read more

I love Dr. Burke and have been to her practice several times (my family actually changed our insurance plan so that we could return to her after some rotten experiences with other dentists under a different insurance plan). I recently had some cavities filled by her colleague, Dr. McQuade, and she's great as well. Very soothing and friendly and the work was quick and relatively painless. Everything is spotless and everyone is amiable and on time. Lately my experiences with dentists seem to be either awful or wonderful. This one was wonderful! read more

Looks like a brand new set of teeth! Love it! Great job guys!! Really appreciate all of your time and attention to detail. You went above and beyond our expectations. Our kids have been patients of Dr. Burke for 3+ years and we have been nothing but THRILLED with the excellent service we have received under her care. When our son needed braces in 2015, we did not think ahead about the fact we would be gone all summer and should have planned to have the work done in early June. Despite a busy summer schedule, Dr. Burke and her wonderful staff were able to get us in quickly and get two months' worth of Invisalign trays into our hands. When our (typical??) 14 year old boy broke his bottom tray one month, and let his trays blow away at the beach another month, they were replaced quickly to keep his treatment on track. Less than a year after we started, his work is done and he LOVES his new smile!! read more

I am a new patient at Dr. Burke's office and have recently seen Dr. Vallee for a crown. We had a very tricky situation with a lab guy. The crowns he produced (3 times!!) were not aesthetically pleasing and he would not listen to our comments well. Dr. Burke handled this frustrating situation with such amazing grace and reassured me that i will finally get what i want. Dr. Burke and her assistant spent a lot of extra time on me and went above and beyond "normal" busyness practice.. After this long and "troubled" experience of going back and force with the lab I accumulated so much respect, trust and gratitude toward Dr. Burke for advocating and not giving up, listening and not compromising. Finally, i ended up with beautiful new crowns ~thank you Naraita for taking over lab guy :) I believe this kind of professionals in our community are setting up a stage for a new, heart centered way of relating to their clients. You are Exceptional. It is also due to Dr. Burke's kindness, degree of precision, and sensitivity to beauty and detail that I 'm so happy i chose her practice. read more
