I've been here 3 or 4 times now since I live so close and it's one of the only options in the area. I love their lattes which is what brings me back, but they are SO slow. This most recent time I ordered online and waited til the end of the expected wait time to pick it up and I still had to wait inside for another 20 minutes for my drink to be made. I've also tried working from the cafe and they blast music so loud that my noise-cancelling airpods can't even drown it out. Moral of the story, if you have plenty of time to spare go try one of their fun drinks and take it to go, but if not, it's not worth it! read more

Honest cafe review: One of the best lattes I've ever had, just wish the customer service was better. 3.5/5 Tap in below: Walk into an authentic and inviting atmosphere that while it looks incomplete, looks cozy, from lounge chairs, hammocks, it looks like a place thrown together to be inviting. However, the kids/young adults at the counter didn't care to take our order until we asked if we could order. Wasn't inviting in that sense, but the pastries and food made the place smell amazing! I'd say the craft is worth the service and I'd come again if I was in the area. -Golden Lotus: 5/5 Maybe it's the biscoff crumble blended into the whole milk that makes it thick and creamy, but this has been hands down one of the best coffees I've ordered. You get a coffee bean that's rich while not being too sweet with notes that aren't bitter, but pack a strong coffee punch you want as it's being reduced by the ice and cream. This coffee is a coffee I think would meet many people's desired levels of sweet, richness, creaminess, and just flavor. The fact they ask you how sweet you want it, makes this a perfect cup of java for your morning start. Leaving a 4 because the coffee was a 5, service was a 3 and location was a 4 so I would love to see this location grow and get more of the community support. Unfortunately, this place still needs a lot of work. It feels like the café opened before renovations were fully completed. The floors were visibly dirty, and the tables and chairs were not clean either. One major issue was the AC unit -- it was extremely loud, to the point where it sounded like the ceiling was shaking. It honestly felt uncomfortable and distracting while trying to enjoy the experience. The wait time was also unacceptable. Drinks took about 45 minutes, and food took nearly an hour total. We came during brunch on a Saturday, and the café was not busy -- there were fewer than 20 people inside. It appeared that only one employee was taking orders and making drinks, while one man was cooking all the food. The food was disappointing as well. We ordered beef, but it had a strong lamb smell and tasted terrible, so we had to throw the plate away. It also looked like everything was being cooked on the same grill, which made me question cleanliness and food preparation. The drinks were overpriced for the size. The mini drink cost around $8, and I could barely taste the matcha in my matcha latte. This café has potential, but if renovations and operations are not fully ready, it may be better to wait before opening to the public. Customers deserve a clean, comfortable environment and reasonable service times. read more

After repeatedly passing the banner out front that reads "Biggest Cafe In Nashville", I finally decided to check this location out. Upon walking inside, I was immediately impressed with the size and the interior design. I loved the color palate for the decor and all of the different options for seating. This would be the perfect place to study or work from home with how spacious it is! I also love how they have a few games and even a pool table. What I didn't particularly love was that I asked for my pistachio latte to be half sweet as usual. It seemed like the server interpreted my request as TWICE as sweet because my latte was so sweet, that it was unenjoyable for me. However, friend ordered the Banana Spice latte and she loved it! Additionally, their prices are pretty steep- I paid $8.63 before tip for my latte, which I wouldn't typically mind, if it came out as requested. I came in around 9am and there was only one barista working so it took quite a while for my coffee to be prepared, why is why I would not recommend coming here if you're in a rush. Overall, if you don't mind the price and you're looking for a nice space to enjoy a coffee, study, or gather with friends, this is a great place to check out. I will be back, but next time I will be sure to emphasize my desired sweetness level, so I can enjoy the experience to the fullest extent. read more

This is a lovely little cafe just outside of Nashville. The staff were super nice, gave us great recommendations, and took the time to answer all our questions. The lattes were delicious, and the croissants were buttery flakey wonderful. The room was very spacious for a café and a great place to chill out at with friends. What a lovely space! I was so excited to finally try after seeing this talked about so much. Upon walking in, you see the ordering counter to your right. There are specials on a board, and you can also scan the QR code to get the full menu. We asked for recommendations. I ended up getting an iced pistachio matcha latte and Dubai chocolate croissant. It took awhile to get our food/drink so if you're in a hurry, this place might not be the best option, but if you have time, highly recommend! There are some cute backdrops for photos and the food and drink is delicious. Loved my drink. The croissant was okay. Support small, immigrant owned business! read more

I usually love coming to Deir, they have one of my favorite coffees in Nashville (the Golden Lotus)! But on our last few trips we ended up having to wait 30+ minutes for a coffee that tasted odd and pretty bitter. Just mildly disappointed because it's kinda pricey and usually worth the long wait! I love Deir in Wedgewood-Houston, so I had to check out their new location in Antioch! The space is huge, with plenty of room and lots of seating options. There's a cozy corner with comfy chairs and warm lighting that gives it a great ambience. They even have board games, which makes it a great place to hang out. It's the perfect spot to co-work as well. My #1 drink is the Golden Lotus (the Biscoff cookie crumbles are to die for!) My friend tried the Deir Chai and loved it just as much. The staff is incredibly friendly, the service is quick, and they even have a parking lot, which is always a plus! read more

Deir Cafe 2 is the largest cafe in Nashville! Located on Haywood Lane across from the Walgreens, they are usually open 8AM-8PM. Because of Ramadan, they are open late from 12 PM-3 AM! I decided to take some work and check it out. They have a parking lot and then street parking next to the building. When you walk in, there was lots of buzz with largely groups of friends gathered playing cards, talking, or doing homework or work. You place your order to the right when you walk in. I think that should be clearer or a Order Here sign because when you walk in, you see the huge open kitchen where everyone is preparing food and drinks. I asked the two people behind the counter to the right and they let me know that you order first and then they will call your name. There is a QR code where you can pull up the drink and food menu. The menu starts with drinks and they have so many to offer that you have to keep scrolling for awhile before getting to the food menu. It would be helpful if they had a drink tab and food tab. It would be more user friendly and help people see offerings quicker where they could order faster. I ordered the chicken shawarma meal. It's is grilled Arabic chicken served with crispy fries, creamy garlic sauce and tabbouleh. I was a bit disappointed in the chicken shawarma. The chicken was dry and I tried adding the creamy garlic sauce and tabbouleh but it only helped a bit. I am going to say that the chicken might be dry because it's the end of the night? I was bummed because I was craving shawarma and it did not hit the spot. The fries though.... that saved this meal. The fries were fried to perfection. They were crispy and not greasy. I really loved the fries! They give you a little container of ketchup. I could have used just a little bit more. I am thinking that they just opened and I will give the shawarma another try. Since I ordered the meal, it came with a drink. They offered bottled water, coke, sprite, diet coke, or a yogurt drink. They have a shawarma iftar plate that has lentil soup, tender, slow-marinated shawarma over rice with fresh tabbouleh, paired with famous toumia or tahini and a yogurt drink. Savory wise, I'm curious about that as well as the zaatar lahneh croissant. On the sweet side, I want to try the pistachio croissant and coconut cake. The space is really great and they have all types of seating which I loved. There is a giant table where multiple groups can sit. They have seats facing the outside if you need to work and stay focused. Groups were gathered around the round tables playing cards. The atmosphere is great and I look forward to coming back and trying other items! So many drinks were being made and I look forward to trying a tropical habibi boost next time! read more

I cannot say I recommend this spot for matcha. There was no one at the counter to take orders, even where there was no one in the place! It took a long time to order and get my order. There was no one waiting on a drink besides me! The baristas were just chatting in the back! And when I walked up after 15 minutes he said oh I made it wrong. I just asked for the drink anyways because it was already so long. The matcha was watered down and the foam was not sweet at all and then it was oat milk! They only have oat milk here ! A very spacious cafe. Its cute in there. Cool place to read, or do some work. Has plenty sitting area. It is kind of all over the place though. But their mango matcha was delicious! And it's close to home so I will be back. Haven't tried any of their food yet. The staff wasn't really welcoming they were just chatting among themselves.
