They look for silly technical reasons to fail your kid and collect more fees. Find another place.

I recommend this school to anyone seeking to get their drivers license. Communicates well, he's an authorized testing center, great prices and works with your schedule! I have gotten my driver's license a few years ago in CA and have been driving in WA with my CA…read morelicense until it expired. I forgot to change my CA license to WA license, thus I need to retake a driving test in WA. I took a 30min warm-up lesson and passed the driving test today! I have previously done warm-up + test at a different driving school and failed, so I think I can provide some comparisons between the two experiences. Though I might be biased due to the different results, but I will try to be as impartial as possible. Jason, the owner and instructor at Street Law Driving School, was completely honest and up-front with me. During the warm-up, there was a stop sign where I did not come to a full stop and Jason told me in a test that would have disqualified me so that I can pay attention to that in the test. Also Jason helped me to improve in the back-maneuvering and parallel parking, the two sections that I got points of in my previous test. He gave simple but clear instructions on the steps I needed to take to perform those two tasks and asked me to repeat a few times until I have them nailed down all by myself. At the driving school where I took my previous test, the instructor simply went over the steps as if quoting out of an instruction manual without providing any feedbacks on what I did wrong, then took off points during the test. After the test, Jason went over the points that I missed in detail to make sure I actually have them remembered for my own safety. All of the points Jason took off make sense in the hindsight and are clearly explained. Whereas, in my previous test, the examiner just flat-out refused to provide any explanation for the points taken off and told me I'm a hazard to the road. I highly recommend Street Law Driving School to anyone, especially people who are in similar situation as I do. Jason holds the same standard as any examiner is expected to do, but at the same time, he also shows great compassion and wants to ensure the success of his students for their own safety, whereas, I find many other big-name driving schools mostly care about how to sell you more classes. Just for that alone, Jason and Street Law Driving School deserve all my recommendations.

911 Driving School in Issaquah should be avoided at all costs for teenagers. Here's the way their…read moresystem works. You sign up and give them $700+. They tell you that your student will have 15 Zoom lessons interleaved with 5 behind the wheel lessons. What they won't tell you is how completely understaffed they are for behind the wheel lessons. Multiple times per day, you will check on their website for any lessons available within the next month, and there are literally none. And if you are lucky enough to find one, they are during the school day. When you complain to the owner, he will insist that they have more than enough staff for the behind the wheel lessons and blame the issue on students' availability like this: "While we strive to accommodate students' busy schedules--including school, sports, and family commitments--some students may have too many external obligations to complete their required BTW drives within the State of Washington's Driver Training School Program Timeframe." He will insist that you can check the website on the 22nd of every month to find appointments, but every other registered student is also doing this, and I never saw an available appointment on that day. Then he'll tell you that students that are close to the 8-month time limit for completing the course are "prioritized" for their behind the wheel lessons. What that actually means is that the office just emails you in the last six weeks when your student's lessons will be, and good luck if you happen to have any sort of conflict. My son had to complete his course by the end of October, eight months after his first Zoom lesson. They were only able to schedule his last behind the wheel lesson for October 25th, just in the nick of time. The owner should be completely ashamed of how this business is being run, and it should probably be investigated by the state. I'm sure they squeeze most of the students through the program just under the eight month wire. But I would guess that there are many families that just get frustrated and give up. I think they're just counting on some sort of attrition to accommodate the lack of behind the wheel instructor availability. Like several reviews on here from parents of teens, the owner is probably going to respond with his trademark defensiveness, insisting that he has sufficient behind the wheel instructor availability to meet Washington State's minimum requirements. It's really sad that the negative feedback he's received from his customers has not motivated him to change his business practices for the better. He'd rather have you believe that his customers are all wrong. I assure you, they are not.

This was not disclosed at sign up (they states there was an email, I checked all of my emails and saw none). They were dismissive of my concerns and assured my son would have enough time to complete before his birthday. However, that was not reassuring as I want my son to have as much education and practice in the permit year as possible. The owner unenrolled me and gave me back my money but that left us scrambling to find a new school. Some other school in the area also had delays in being able to drive - all except for Shield - who I highly recommend. This seems to be an issue after the summer. Moral of the story - as when your student will be able to schedule drives when you sign up.

The driving lessons I took from him helped me develop enough courage and confidence to drive on road without any issues which eventually helped me crack the road drive test. It was wonderful that he is able to guide and teach in Hindi and English both. I am impressed by his ability to teach in an effortless manner and would highly recommend him!

I read reviews for various school however; Drive Right Driving School stood out to me. I contacted the school and spoke with Mr. Suleman. He asked me a few general questions to gage what type of classes would be suitable for me. He gave me a couple different options but stated that purchasing a package would be a better option and it would save me money.  I was a bit apprehensive on my first day of class because you never know how the instructor will be if you make a mistake; however, right from our first meeting Mr. Suleman was so kind and soft spoken that I immediately felt at ease. He advised me not to be nervous and when we sat in the car he explained all the car features, functions, and driving rules.  I specifically appreciated how Mr. Suleman remains calm, and speaks so respectfully. Mr. Suleman is very professional and knowledgeable and he shares his experiences with you and provides insight on how to be an excellent driver. It was refreshing to see an instructor who truly cares about the success of their students. His aim was not just to teach but to ensure I understand and feel confident about the road, my driving, and stated that if I focused on that then I would attain my goal of getting my license and being a safe and confident driver.  I would without a doubt recommend Drive Right Driving School to everyone who needs to learn to drive or anything driving related. One of my best decisions.
