If you are looking for decadent Italian dishes, look no further than Deeva Kitchen and Bar. The food here was very filling and the service was friendly and attentive. One of the unique aspects of this restaurant is the unusual curved dining area. It's not too often you dine in spaces that are semi-circular, so that's an interesting draw. We started our meal with the Bruschetta Caprese. It was good- slightly above average. It was missing that oomph to take it to the next level. For an entree, I had the Decedent Ravioli Aragosta, which is a lobster ravioli. It was different from other lob tabs I've had before in that it was swimming in a brandy cream sauce, as opposed to a pink sauce. It was fine, but I think the sauce was a bit too rich. A bit of tomato would have tempered it to lighten it up. Seeing as the meal was so heavy, I didn't save room for dessert, nonetheless, I still want to come back to try other dishes because the food is a good value and many things on the menu sounded great. read more

I hate to leave negative reviews but maybe this will save you $ by going somewhere else. Terrible drinks served with dried black lemons, ordered a dirty martini, but received a regular martini because they didn't have olive juice. We asked the waitress what was floating in the lemon martini and she said it was a grapefruit. The food was just as awful. There was more, but I'll leave it there. I have been in the restaurant industry a very long time. Because of this I have been fortunate to be able to eat dinner in restaurants every night. For decades. I have a huge data base of experiences at all price points and cuisines. I have learned that beyond food quality (which you expect to be good) and ambiance (which you hope is good) one quick way to determine the hospitality of a restaurant is where you are seated. If you are on a 30 minute wait for a seat you are delighted to be seated at an interior table for 2. Fate smiled on you. However, in the last hour that a restaurant is open and 2 of the 14 dining tables are occupied it is hard to figure why being given that same table could be considered hospitality. After the owner dropped our menus off there we moved ourselves to a window table for 4. Figured he would comment on our move when it became clear he was the server. Nope. Probably thought he put us at the right table anyway. To me everything else flows from how a restaurant consciously decides to seat you when everything is available. Our Waitstaff person was Eva as in De Eva. We did have reservations for four at 6:30 PM and were seated immediately. We ordered calamari for starters and they were delicious. Our entrees were delicious. I cannot remember the last time I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. Others ordered their lasagna, Salmon Cobb salad, and another order of spaghetti and meatballs. The restaurant was laid out very nicely and conducive to conversation. A friend and I had lunch at this restaurant and just loved it. First the interior was elegant. We had a very sweet lady that waited on us and was so helpful. I tried something new to me. We had hopes to have a close to home Italian go to spot. Sadly we were disappointed. My boyfriend got the house cab and it tasted like it had been open for a while. (The place was pretty empty so no clue how long it would take them to get through a bottle.) The house bread was homemade and we enjoyed it. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp that was supposed to be in a brandy cream sauce. It tasted like a normal Alfredo - nothing special and no sights of brandy. I ordered the blackened scallop Alfredo. It tasted like jarred Alfredo and had 6 baby scallops. The scallops were cooked well but the dish was lacking. We had the opportunity of eating at the wonderful establishment last evening and I was instantly impressed by the decor when we walked in the door. This was accented by the beautifully painted frescoes on a large wall surrounding the seating area. The vibe is current and classic at the same time. I was immediately greeted upon entering by a gracious host that took care of us the complete evening and his service was beyond great - he explained every item asked about on the menu thoroughly, even giving his personal favorites which lead us in some of our decisions. Our first main choice of the evening was Chicken and Shrimp Dama Bianca which came out beatifully fresh mushrooms, green onions, sun dried tomatoes in brandy cream sauce. Our second main choice was Saltimbocca which was Sautéed veal scaloppini, prosciutto and sage in white wine, butter sauce. What made this dish extra special was that little hint of lemon you could taste on the back of you pallet as you were eating the veal. To finish the night we couldn't make up our minds between the Tiramisu and the Italian Cream Cake so we ordered both - they were both absolutely fabulous !!! I went a couple days ago with my grandma and mom for my grandmas birthday. It's even more pretty in person and it was nice out so we sat on the patio. The food is AMAZING! We did the ravioli as an app and dipped our bread in it and it was divine. The sauce was perfect and the star of the show. The tiramisu in a glass was also delicious and our waitress was warm and welcoming. She also gave us a limoncello shot which my grandmother loved! I will be bringing my husband for date night! Came on a Sunday early evening. This was our first time and went based largely on the yelp reviews. The interior is nice but a bit campy. Service was very good, but we were the only people dining. Started with the old fashioned- 3.5. Had the truffle fries - 4 ( they were the best thing we had). For entrees we had the spaghetti with meat sauce and chicken parm. We had to send the spaghetti back due to crunchy noodles. Not al dente, crunchy. The chicken parm was limp and very tough. This had to be left from lunch and microwaved. No way it was fresh. The food was not as well prepared as the last time we visited DeEva. The chicken Marsala was dry and there were maybe 12 mushroom slices. Very disappointing. We will not go again. They were average in taste and the bread that was offered was dry, perhaps the cheese dried it out. It would a better choice to have the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar for the dipping sauce separated. So you can add a little or a lot of the balsamic vinegar with salt and black pepper. I stopped in for lunch after learning about DeEva the night before. I wasn't disappointed. Unlike its predecessor in this space, DeEva has a full bar with happy hour specials. The decor is beautiful with all new furnishings. My server happened to be Eva, co-owner of the restaurant. She worked the entire room and provided non-stop service! I ordered a glass of wine and opted for the $10 lunch menu with a small salad and lasagna. Both were absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back soon for dinner! read more
