I used to shop here for my fur babies' previous choice of food--Fussie Cat--and now it appears they like this brand again!! The new owners are no longer new, but I used to frequent this store years ago. It is conveniently located a couple blocks away from where I live. I'd describe the place as small and cramped. They're not as well stocked as some other local, independent pet shops in terms of variety, but they have some good choices. E-commerce stores such as Amazon and Chewy threaten the existence of small businesses to stay afloat, so I try to support them. Prices are comparable among other local stores. When it comes to my sweethearts, I'd cross the English Channel for them. Check them out.

Upon walking into this store you're immersed in a dog's dream - rows of handmade felted toys resembling various types of foods, in all different sizes. My dog has only recently showed interest in toys and it was the best feeling seeing her walk through the store, head in each bin locating the best prize to take home. The cashier was so kind and patient as we claimed the entirety of the store as our personal playground & even won the heart of my dog, providing her with treats for being so well behaved! We learned that all of the products in the store are handmade, working with women artisans in Nepal/Cambodia/Peru+beyond to provide job opportunities and create quality products. While most toys in chain pet stores are upwards of $20+, toys here are around the same price. The staff is even extremely transparent, letting you know that their toys aren't indestructible, but once they do break you can bring them back in for a discount on your next purchase. Support local and visit Gone To The Dogs for quality pet supplies, you definitely won't regret it!

If you like to treat your pups and spoil them, this shop is for you!…read more I love to stop by whenever I am looking to spoil my pets or in the neighborhood. I stumbled upon this place after getting my first pups vaccinated at Vetco last year, and a review is long over due. It's the perfect place to treat your pup to something nice or perfect for unique gifts for other pet parents! Their toys are all hand-made and out of felt. There are so many adorable designs. They are also designed to be destroyed I believe? I might be wrong. Once they rip it apart you can return the toy to the store for 20% off your next toy. On my first visit my pup was still very small so I decided on a rainbow unicorn with a squeaker. My pup enjoyed the toy very much and eventually tore out the squeaker which was a surprise since she never destroys her toys. Second time visiting was after my second pups vaccines. This time we got the shumai toy. It comes with a little bowl and 3 stuffed pieces. Perfect as a little snuffle toy to hide food and play fetch! On this trip I also met Pudding a Pomeranian and learned about local rescues that helped smaller dogs. All of the items they carry are hand-made ethically ( renewable materials that are natural fibers) and recyclable! They also carry leashes, bandanas, sweaters, coats, and hats! Plus, they also have lots of information about adopting dogs from local rescues as well if you are looking for a dog! Overall great shop to stop by and grab some artisanal hand-made pet products while supporting artists, local/global communities, and shelters! Lots of unique toys perfect as gifts.
