Vinnys's pet shop has a pet groomer who does cats on Wednesdays. I'm sorry but I don't know her name. She is the best. My cat Delilah is a 3 year old Maine Coon who won't let me comb her . So instead of torqueing she asked if she could shaved her, she left a mane and I love it. Delilah now looks like a Lion. Delilah came home much happier usually take weeks for her to get over seeing the groomer I would say she has PTSD. I could tell right off the the pet groomer cared about hurting Delilah. Thank you Vinny's Wednesdays Cat Groomer read more

Vinny's Pet Shop - Delila - Pet Stores Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I've been a customer for years--first for my finicky cat and now for my sensitive-digestive-system dog. Everyone at the store is knowledgeable and helpful and I've also had good experiences with the grooming services. read more

Very disrespectful did not like the way I was treated does not have inventory prices are ridiculous the place in my opinion was dirty

During Covid, this business was open and brought what you needed to the front door. Nice neighborhood establishment. Friendly staff.

Best grooming service in Brooklyn. When Halo walks in, he gets a big joyful welcome from the staff. He is excited to see everyone he knows. He always looks and smells beautiful when I pick him up. Vinny's Pet Shop finds the best groomers in the industry to care for their loyal furry clients. They are highly selective. Don't underestimate the level of expertise in this store. They are truly wonderful. read more

I just love it! They've got food for pets, and maybe food for humans (or was that pet food too??) I just love the employees -- everh morning I walk in and say hi to the friendliest guy (is this vinnie?) and that's always the highlight of my day!! read more

These guys are the best. So lovely and a great selection. They are always kind and deliveries are always prompt. So glad I found this gem!

I don't know what's her name but the lady with dyed purple hair is so nice!! I came to purchase some toys and treats since I recently got a new puppy and she was so helpful. read more

Great local mom & pop pet shop! It is reasonably priced, and carries a wide variety of high quality holistic brands of dog and cat food (that you can not find in those commercialized pet stores such as Petco & Pet Smart). In addition, they also sell dog, cat and bird supplies. The staff is also very knowledgeable, helpful and nice. I highly recommend this pet friendly place to shop! If you are in the neighborhood, come stop by Vinny's. Yes - support locally, not commercially! P.S - If you check yourself in, you can get a 10% coupon that can be used on your total purchase. read more

This store was such a great find! They have quality brands for my elderly pup and they deliver! They have always been courteous and yesterday they sent along a treat for Sam in lieu of something that was temporarily out of stock... and a sweet note! Thank you so much for the thoughtfulness! You've got a very pleased customer! read more

Delicious food. Yummy. I know it's pet food I just don't care I can't stop eating it.

This small, excellent pet store specializes, according to its business card, in "holistic and human grade dog/cat foods". Since my stubborn cats only eat one particular kind of expensive cat food, I was happy to find it here and in various sizes. In fact, all the foods seem to be available in every size from tiny can or bag to the giant sizes. They also stock everything else you might need from litter boxes to toys. The shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful; for example, they will take your giant bags of cat food and litter up front for you while you continue shopping. I just moved to the neighborhood and I will definitely come back here for my pets' needs. Edit: It's 4 years later and I still cannot recommend this place highly enough. What a treasure for the neighborhood. The selection is always outstanding, and the guys running the place make it a pleasure to shop there instead of the chore (or bore) it used to be when I shopped at the giant chain store in my previous Manhattan neighborhood. I can't even imagine buying my pet stuff anywhere else. read more

Lovely pet shop that carries a large variety of high quality hollistic brands for dogs and cats. And, the prices are always fair. And the staff are always willing to help if you have questions. read more

Vinny's is a great local pet shop! They carry a wide array of natural foods and toys for dogs. They even have local dog brands, like Bocce. They carry a lot of the Fido line, an organic dog toy company. They have a good amount of bully sticks and chews too. Lots of accessories- a whole wall of leashes, collars, dog bowls, and clothing. They also have a big CAT section as well. Staff is friendly and always willing to help out. If you check in, you get a 10% off your order offer. They also started a rewards program. Prices are reasonable, if you're used to spending on the better quality brands. read more

Always very helpful with any question I may throw at them. Always "hi celeste, how's the kitten!" It's nice to be remembered in the sea of Brooklyn faces, it keeps me coming back. They didn't have a certain grain free kitten food I wanted, so they ordered it for me. Now whenever I go, it's there! Also, it's family owned. The prices are about the same as any other chain store, so why not support your local establishment? read more

By far the best pet shop in Bay Ridge. They are also very knowledgable about your pet needs. I have a Ridgeback and they recommended a puppy food that is of such high quality that he finally poops normally . Thanks guys , your the best read more

We are all under great stress in this covid-19 stressful world, but there is no reason to be insulting to your customers. After more than 10 years of loyally shopping at Vinny's, a young clerk gave me such a snippy attitude that I have decided I will never, ever shop there again. There was no reason, no excuse to be insulting with me. Period. End of discussion. Since the business changed ownership and staff, it has not been the same. read more

Very convenient spot, and such helpful people on staff! They will give you recommendations and more details on the products they sell, which is key to anyone owning a local business. The prices were pretty good, and they deliver too. read more

Love Vinny's. It's the only pet store I'll buy from. Family owned and down to earth, honest and helpful. I've been shopping with them since the day I got my first dog, I was completely clueless about most everything, especially the crate I was there to buy. My pup is a year and a half old now and they are still my favorite pet store. They are always up to date on the newest and best foods and toys and more then willing to offer an unbiased opinion. They have never steered me wrong. Thanks guys! p.s. I'll be in later for a raincoat! read more

This is a family family business owned by people who know their stuff, love animals, and want to help their customers. They also do FREE delivery. Woot! Woot! Any time I needed suggestions they could always provide knowledgeable answers and I can never think of a time I lugged a giant bag of dog food to the counter. Someone would always jump up to help me (even though I didn't need the help). One brand of dog food made my dog sick so I brought it back and they refunded it without any problem. I also love the resident kitty cat at the store. If you are in Bay Ridge, I cannot recommend Vinny's enough! It's a short walk from the R train (Bay Ridge Ave) read more

Love everyone there except one guy, Hispanic which seems to have an attitude all the time but other than that the place is greatly stocked, cheap and affordable! read more

I needed to have some specialty cat food delivered in a clutch and Vinny's came through. Super helpful and friendly on the phone - considering I was ordering sight unseen. Delivered quickly w/ everything I needed. Will definitely order again. Thank you! read more

Absolutely love this pet shop. They have everything in stock. The staff is extremely friendly and super knowledgeable about all their products and are great at recommending new things for your pets' needs. They carry a wide variety of wholesome and natural brands. And a huge plus is that the store is kept very clean and organized. I'm super happy we have this store in our neighborhood. read more

Vinny has a nice pet shop. They don't sell puppy mill puppies, they special order things for you, and offer holistic organic stuff for your pets. You can tell when someone opens up a shop because they love pets, not money *cough unliketheshopon86thstreet* read more

Vinny's has sponsored adopt-a-thons for feral kittens, and that's a sign of a business that not only cares about the bottom line, but the community and all of its creatures. read more

Great service, delivery, fair prices, and the owners actually seem to care about animals. Not sure who "joseph N." is (the only person who gave this place a negative review) but he appears to be someone who just recently opened his yelp account for the sole purpose of slamming a couple of local businesses he has a personal issue with. I've been a Vinny's customer for 4 years and there is no way the incident he is describing would ever happen in that store. I have flagged his review as "fake". read more

Beautifully merchandised store, knowledgable people, so helpful and polite. It's perfect. Mike was incredibly helpful when I adopted Chepa. He was patient with my million and one questions, recommended a trainer, who taught her some new tricks (Chepa was 70 in dog years, at the time) and who helped Chepa and I bond. He also recommended good food choices for Chepa, educating me along the way about what things to look for to keep her healthy. I highly recommend this store. Go see for yourself! read more

I love this pet shop! They carry a great selection at reasonable prices. Truly quality items. The guys working their are really nice and always quick to help you without being pushy. Loyal to this great little pet store! read more

Vinny's pet shop is great, the guys that work there are very helpful. I order a cat playpen for my Fiv kittens. Mike from Vinny's pet shop came to my home and set the playpen up for me. read more

Although I've never been to the store or purchased anything, I am writing this review solely on a phone call I made. I called to ask if they sell puppies and the guy really helped me out. He didnt have to and I probably wasted his time. He sounds like an old school neighborhood guy. I am currently looking for a puppy and will definitely purchase from his store if I do accomplish my mission in the future. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! read more

A great family run local pet shop that offers a great selection of products for your pets. The shop offers a variety of foods that caters to all preferred diets; the products are always fresh and well kept because of the high turn around in products that come and out of the store. I have been going here for the past 8 years and the staff has always been consistently friendly. The owners of the shop are pet owners themselves and are very genuine when they interact with pets that come in with the customer. This place is a classic example of what has been lost with personable interaction over the years thanks to giant corporations that muscle out smaller businesses. I am glad this place is around and thriving; a paw of approval from my dog for this local establishment. read more

BRAVO to proprietor Mike and company!!!! I'd just like to say from my own personal experience VINNY'S is WITHOUT QUESTION the most beautifully kept, stocked, and staffed pet shop in all of Bay Ridge. Each and every one of the employees are incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful... their delivery service is awesome and dependable... the store itself is IMMACULATELY kept and filled to the brim with great products (they've even got lots of GRAIN FREE choices for animals, like mine, that require it) I tell anyone in the market for an AMAZING, local, soup to nuts pet store that there's only ONE Vinny's Pet Shop and to GET THERE- SUPPORT OUR WONDERFUL LOCAL BUSINESS THAT SO RICHLY DESERVE THE TYPE OF RECOGNITION THIS ONE DOES! read more

The owner is very nice. The price is reasonable. I like to buy everything for my kitties in the store.

Vinny's Pet Shop is an amazing little store filled with products for your pets. I found out about this little gem through my roommate who's been there before, and started coming here to buy all my things for my puppy. I think that they have a very good variety of products for dogs, I've bought a lot of different types of treats from merrick powerbites to greenies for a little less than the big chains like Petco. They also have some really good sales sometimes that are definitely worth stopping by for. They also do deliveries which I haven't tried yet but that makes it much more convenient for the busy bodies in the world. All in all I think they are a great family run business that are filled with employees that are very knowledgeable on their products. read more
