Vinnys's pet shop has a pet groomer who does cats on Wednesdays. I'm sorry but I don't know her name. She is the best. My cat Delilah is a 3 year old Maine Coon who won't let me comb her . So instead of torqueing she asked if she could shaved her, she left a mane and I love it. Delilah now looks like a Lion. This small, excellent pet store specializes, according to its business card, in "holistic and human grade dog/cat foods". Since my stubborn cats only eat one particular kind of expensive cat food, I was happy to find it here and in various sizes. In fact, all the foods seem to be available in every size from tiny can or bag to the giant sizes. They also stock everything else you might need from litter boxes to toys. The shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful; for example, they will take your giant bags of cat food and litter up front for you while you continue shopping. I just moved to the neighborhood and I will definitely come back here for my pets' needs. Edit: It's 4 years later and I still cannot recommend this place highly enough. What a treasure for the neighborhood. The selection is always outstanding, and the guys running the place make it a pleasure to shop there instead of the chore (or bore) it used to be when I shopped at the giant chain store in my previous Manhattan neighborhood. This is a family family business owned by people who know their stuff, love animals, and want to help their customers. They also do FREE delivery. Woot! Woot! Any time I needed suggestions they could always provide knowledgeable answers and I can never think of a time I lugged a giant bag of dog food to the counter. Someone would always jump up to help me (even though I didn't need the help). One brand of dog food made my dog sick so I brought it back and they refunded it without any problem. The shop offers a variety of foods that caters to all preferred diets; the products are always fresh and well kept because of the high turn around in products that come and out of the store. They double charged me for an order and now I have to go through so much to get the credit back on my account from the bank. They never have the items I have routinely bought for years in stock.
