Awesome Experience I'm a little late posting this review but better late than never. We were in the Poconos last summer and wanting to scratch something off my bucket list, I decided to go horseback riding and talked my husband into it. I booked with Deer Path Riding Stables. Upon arrival we were greeted by John the owner, he was very nice. He introduced his lovely wife and daughter who were extremely helpful explaining what to expect during the ride and how to best interact with our horse. You could tell how much everyone involved cared about the horses and our safety. Based on our weight (yes you have to weigh in) we were paired with our horse. My husband rode Honey and I rode Milo. We set out for our ride with John the cowboy who was an EXCELLENT teacher, guide and genuinely nice person. He was very patient with us! We had an amazing ride during which we spoke of our families. John constantly checked in to make sure we were having a great time. My husband was nervous at first but enjoy it so much that he wants us to do it again this summer. At the end of the ride they took many pictures of us so we could have memories of our experience. We left with a BIG SMILE! We're both looking forward to returning this summer.

Had a great time riding Biscuit and Honey. The tour guide, Kelly, was super nice and made the experience fun for us. The horses were very sweet and easy to ride. Had a great time!!! Definitely recommend!

My family and I took a trail ride here during a family reunion weekend. As an avid rider, I'm very conscious of equine safety for both horse and rider. The people running this establishment are top-notch. They provide helmets, boots, and detailed instruction on how to mount and dismount. They also pointed out the importance of keeping a safe distance between horses, how to property position your body while going up and down hills, as well as trotting. The horses seemed happy and well cared for, and the tack fit properly. We had riders of all ages and everyone loved it. We plan on going back next year when we're in the area and I would highly recommend you give it a try, beginner or not!

Very awesome. Everything all the other positive reviewers said. We however, went in 15 degree weather in December and it was still awesome. The staff were wonderful. I can't say enough good about the place.

I wanted to take my 12 yr old niece for her birthday. I made reservations ahead of time for a Saturday. The stable was easy to find right off the interstate. The gentleman who guided us was great. He was very concerned with everyone enjoying their experience and gave riding lessons as we went. The horses all were calm and trustworthy I'd recommend it!

We had a wonderful time with John our guide! It was our first time riding a horse and we were well educated on how to ride. My husband and I learned so much in our hour guided tour through wooded trails. I never knew one can guide a horse with a minimal amount of pressure by your feet! So I would go back and ride again and definitely would recommend this place. John was very nice and super informative. This a great place.

The muzzle is so the horses don't graze and eat grass while on the trail so you don't fall behind. They are loved and treated very well.

This was my first time horseback riding and they made the experience so relaxed and fun because of their well trained horses. The staff was very knowledgeable about each of the horses and how they acted, they gave you tips on how to handle them and what each horse responded to. The guide is always checking in to make sure everyone is comfortable and okay. The horses were so sweet and listened so well to the commands that us, the riders, were giving them. If you are up to it they also let you Trot and get up to a decent beginner speed with the horses. They have a variety of helmets and boots for you to choose from. Lovely little business with very caring owners.

We were looking for something to do non snow related and it has just rained so a big hike seemed like a mud fest no one wanted. Called this place and they were not busy and set us up for 4 riders in short order. 2 semi nervous first timers were at ease in 15 minutes thanks to our guide Kelly. Plenty of extra attention for our small size helped get everyone trotting even which I have never experienced on a group trail ride. Not much to see just wandering wooden trails but still very good time

Neat place to take the kids for a ride. Quick to schedule, but it wasn't a busy time, like summer. They had boots & helmets for us to use.

A short google search later, we found Daisy Field Farms and spoke to the owner who was kind enough to find us a slot that matched our schedule. We even got 20mins late while getting there because our GPS totally screwed us over, but they were kind enough to wait and immediately got us horses when we got there. I got Stella who was a beautiful big horse, strong and obedient. We trotted with our horses in a single file over a small hill/mountain. I don't know what to call it, only trust me when I say this IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. The farm looks like it's come out of the pages of an adorable old school english farm illustration. There are wagons here and there, Dumbo the dog is super friendly, there are goats you can feed, and rabbits too. During the one hour ride, you're taken up and down and around a mountain, through forests and fields and by small lakes. It was a gorgeous day when we went and everything looked 10times prettier. The couple who run this place are super nice and the horses look very well taken care of. Summer vacations are on and their three adorable little grandsons were helping around the farm too. I was positively jealous and swear I never wanted to leave. I'll be back again for sure, this place just made me so so happy!

We had an amazing guide! There was beautiful scenery through the mountains. I would definitely come…read moreback again!
