An absolute gem in the middle of Oregon Wine Country!…read more A beautifully restored farm property with five well-appointed rooms, each with a serene, private patio, king sized bed, heated bathroom floors, corner fireplace, and large tub. The rooms are clean and spacious with coffee makers, refrigerators, and comfortable furnishings. The true highlight however, is the amazing breakfast! Each day we were treated to fresh coffee, homemade scones, yogurt with fresh fruit, a hearty main course, and fresh smoothies. Everything we had over the three days was incredible and perfect before a day of wine tasting. Dan and Maureen are very personable and kind and have truly created a tranquil, comfortable, and gorgeous property that we highly recommend! The definition of a true bed and breakfast!

We were greeted with friendly smiles from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The decor has a classy rustic vibe and everything is high quality and very comfortable. There are many different places to sit and take in the views, both inside and outside. The room accommodations are outstanding. The linens are luxurious, and pretty. The room is fresh and ultra clean (even in the corners!). There's a beautiful tasting room on property, a cozy/casual cellar bar, and an award-winning restaurant with a 10 course prix fixe dining experience. The views of the vineyard, lavender bushes and valley are straight out of a storybook! The pics we saw online ahead of time don't do this property justice-no picture could. We cannot wait to come back!

We were greeted at the desk by Ryan with a glass of their sister winery's rose and then proceeded on a tour of the inn. It is a small boutique inn with only about 18 rooms total. I believe while we were there, there may have been maybe 4-5 other couples (that we only saw at breakfast). It is just a lovely place with a sitting room with a huge fireplace, a quaint breakfast room, and several patio areas with fire pits overlooking the valley. One firepit stays on all the time (already I was excited to "need" a firepit in August!). Ryan then walked us across the entryway to a separate smaller building and into our room which was the Deluxe Valley View room...with glass doors that opened directly onto a sweet little patio with adirondack chairs and table overlooking the vineyard. We spent every morning here drinking tea before breakfast and most evenings here drinking wine before bed. And speaking of breakfast! Every morning was a treat...several options you can choose from, mix and match your pastry with your fresh fruit with your main dish with your beverage with your coffee, all a great way to bellywad before a day of wine tastings! Do yourself a favor and get the SCONE every morning! I discovered that sadly on my last day :( All of the staff were super sweet and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy! But that view tho! Makes me want to submit a resume!

It was also genuinely dog-friendly, which made the experience even better for us. We were able to have Penny with us and never felt like bringing a dog meant missing out on the property or the experience. And the breakfast! A five-course breakfast that was genuinely AMAZING and easily one of the highlights of our entire trip. Everything was so thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The wine tasting was another highlight. There's something pretty special about being able to spend the day enjoying the property, tasting their wines, visiting the animals, and then just walking back to your silo afterward. It made the whole stay feel relaxed and completely different from a typical hotel. What really made this place stand out, though, was the people. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and welcoming. I honestly don't think I've ever stayed somewhere that made us feel so at home. The entire property has this warm, peaceful, comfortable feeling to it -- half the time we didn't even think to lock our room because we felt that safe and at ease here. I loved every second of our time at Abbey Road Farm. My only "complaint" is that we didn't book a longer stay! This was so much more than somewhere to sleep -- it was one of those places that becomes part of the trip itself and a memory we won't soon forget. We absolutely cannot wait to come back. Five stars doesn't feel like enough.

Their common areas include a dining room, a living room, a small library (with books and games) and TV room, as well as front and back porches. We originally booked the Oregon Trail room, but Kristin offered to upgrade us to the Oregon Coast room at a discounted rate. We chose the Oregon Coast room for the private balcony and stunning views over the valley. The room was lovely and comfortable. Toiletries, robes, and slippers are all provided for the guests. Our room also had an electric fireplace, which was nice. There was no TV, but that wasn't an issue for us. This is their handicapped accessible room, so there were extra shower and toilet seat handle bars. We stayed two nights and enjoyed two amazing breakfasts prepared by Ayelet. Over the two days, we were treated to blueberry French Toast, a poached pear, homemade bread, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, blueberry scones, and a baked apple. Plus a selection of their homemade jelly/jam. A lot of the ingredients were sourced right from the property. While we ate, Ayelet asked us about our plans for the day, and she offered super helpful suggestions on what to do, where to go, what to eat. She even gave us printed maps! Some other noteworthy items: you get one free T-shirt with your stay; you have a choice of breakfast at 8 or 9 am; there are coolers, sunscreen, and sunglasses you can borrow; they ask your breakfast beverage of choice and usually have it out in the dining room an hour before your breakfast time; there are always homemade cookies, water, and glasses by the mini fridge; you can buy their homemade jam/jelly as well as T-shirts, mugs, coasters, etc. We loved our stay here. The view was gorgeous, the food was delicious, our room was comfortable, and Ayelet was amazing!

Over the…read moreyears, traveling to a B&B has become a tradition for us, dating back to our very first trip together, when we stayed at a B&B in Colorado. Needless to say, we have a lot of wonderful memories tied to these getaways. The Inn is absolutely beautiful. It is thoughtfully appointed, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. There are so many lovely spaces throughout the property where you can sit, relax, and simply enjoy the surroundings with a glass of wine. It really is a special place to unwind and celebrate. The one area where I felt there was room for improvement was breakfast. Having stayed at many B&Bs over the years, I have come to really look forward to breakfast being a memorable part of the experience. For the two of us, breakfast consisted of two hard-boiled eggs, approximately 4 ounces of wonderfully creamy yogurt with granola, a small plate of fresh fruit, and two very hard, sugary pastries. Perhaps it is because of all the B&Bs we have visited over the years, but I have always loved the experience of freshly baked goods in the morning. Whether they are made completely from scratch or not, there is something about the smell and warmth of fresh baking that creates such a wonderful feeling and brings back happy memories. The pastries we were served just didn't provide that same experience. I also would have appreciated having four eggs and two servings of the yogurt for the two of us. And, as a small but meaningful touch, I missed having real cream available for coffee. That has always been a staple at the B&Bs we have enjoyed, and it is one of those little details that makes breakfast feel extra special. Overall, though, we truly enjoyed our stay and were so happy to have celebrated such an important milestone at such a beautiful and welcoming Inn. With a few small changes to the breakfast experience, I think it could be just as memorable as the rest of the property.

Last Christmas, I purchased a gift card for my wife for Spa sessions at The Allison Inn and Spa…read more I've had my eye on the place ever since I heard they offered quality facilities and services. She is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and this time, 5 years ago, had gone through a double mastectomy, and then some major reconstruction surgery after that, earlier in the year. I wanted to give her some quality time at the best spa in the region. Our daughter, who recently moved to the area from Virginia, made plans to go with her since she practically lived in spas back in VA and wanted to check out this local Spa. My daughter owns her own business and was in a busy time of year so it took them months to settle on a day when they could both enjoy the day together. The day before they were to go, my daughter was called away on an urgent trip out of the country. The Allison Spa has a 48-hour cancellation policy but we explained this was truly an emergency on my daughter's part. We even offered to show them her plane ticket for her trip. I can understand the business reason for a cancellation policy, employees are brought in to serve clients, space is made available for scheduled guests, it is important in order to make a business run smoothly. It is also a business decision to allow or deny someone not wanting to have to pay the penalty for cancelling an appointment the day before the appointment. That decision that day cost them probable monthly visits from my daughter, and being crossed off my list of places I would recommend people to go to enjoy quality spa services. My wife loved the massage she received and said Sydny was amazing; however, my wife is 5' tall, she had a very hard time in the hydro bath, slipping down in the tub to where she had to hold on to the side for almost the whole treatment to keep from going under. When the assistant came, her comment was: "I'll tell the management". There is a waiting area at the spa check-in counter for people waiting for the clients to come out from the Spa itself. I waited there for about a half hour knowing they would come get me when she came out. She had been out for almost that half hour and hadn't been told I was waiting, I was pretty much ignored. I know, I sound like a complainer, but this was supposed to be a special day, and it wasn't close to what I hoped it would be for her. The cancellation fee cut into her gift card package and she did not get the full benefit of it. I'm trying to be fair to the Allison, and actually my lunch there was excellent and the service and attitude of employees, with the exception of the Spa counter staff, throughout was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. However, I am extremely disappointed and still very upset with the treatment my wife, my daughter and I received from the Spa. I hope it was an anomaly for The Allison's sake.
