Had a beautiful winter riding experience here--it truly felt like something out of a movie. I…read morebooked through Groupon and then made a reservation on their website. There were some additional costs I didn't expect, but I understood they likely go toward the guides and the care of the horses. I've ridden before and mainly wanted to enjoy the fresh air and scenery, which did not disappoint. The only thing I really wish had been different was the photo policy. I completely respect the no-cellphone rule for safety, but it was a bit disappointing not to be able to capture or share such an incredible experience. Maybe a good compromise would be for guides to take photos or short videos during the ride, or to have a brief stop along the trail for pictures. That would make the experience feel more complete and memorable. The ride itself felt a bit strict at times--we stayed in a single line and had to keep pace, which made it feel a little tense, almost like a "keep up" situation. I understand safety is the priority, though. One of my favorite moments was when the guide explained how to calm a horse and build a connection--that part was really special. Overall, it was a great experience and one of the best I've had in the North. If the pricing felt a bit more reasonable and there were more opportunities to capture memories, I would definitely come back.

My daughter is autistic and described her experience as feeling "safe, confident, comfortable, and sometimes exhilarated." By the end of the half hour, she was, solo, weaving the horse in and out of cones in the ring. Both rider and horse looked relaxed and at ease. I'm a lifelong rider and am very attuned to how things are going. Honestly, I don't understand what the more negative reviews on this site are talking about. This was amazing. Beautiful facility, the horses are well cared for, and I just signed kiddo up for summer riding camp here.

So I was like, I guess I need to go. I tried to go. And GPS took me to Paul's Ranch House in Hartford. When I learned that wasn't the right one, I tried again. And GPS brought me to Ranch House in East Hartford. This is just to tell you, that if you want the OG that has been open since 1950, you need to go to the one in Windsor, which is conveniently located next to 91. The building and surrounding area, have likely seen better days. There is more trash outside than there should be. The inside is fine, but nobody was eating there. The hot dog I had was good. They didn't have many specialty dogs. I ordered the KMOR, which was just Ketchup, Mustatd, Onion and Relish. The dog was a grilled Bogner. Not cut. The bun was grilled. A good dog. It was clear that they have some loyal fans. 3.75 Stars overall, but the dog was a solid 4.

Will start by saying we typically stay at camping resorts vs. campgrounds. There wasn't many…read morereviews on the camping section of Indian ranch when we were looking so I thought writing one would be beneficial to others. We have a 40ft fifth wheel for reference. I wasn't able to make reservations online but after calling I was able to get a site for two nights to take my daughters to a show. There wasn't much info online about the campground, what it offers, and the rules and what not so we went into this pretty blind. I did ask on phone if it was full hookups, as that is important to us and they said all sites are full hookups up which is great! There is no "check in" time which was nice to not have to aim for a certain time but I did call and check and let them know an estimated arrival time. Upon arrival, they had a staff member on a golf cart waiting outside office and brought us to our site. He was very nice, friendly, and answered any questions I had while my husband was parking the camper. The sites are tight!!! That being said we have a large camper with slides on both sides. Thankfully no campers were on either side of us so it didn't take him long to get into the spot. Our site specifically was mixed with rocks and grass, was fine just slim. We did have some shade on the afternoon from the trees to the back of camper. There's a gas station with a subway and honey dew walking distance away which was nice to get a coffee at in the morning and grab anything I forgot to pack. This campground is mostly seasonal, I think the man said they had maybe 13? On rotation for weekenders. The campers that are there are very friendly, mostly older without kids but very nice and didn't seem to mind ours. Some campers seemed a little run down, but to each their own, there was a good mix. Seemed pretty quiet at night time and wasn't anyone overly loud. The next day we went to a show, it was really hot, like 90 degrees. They had a "cooling station" I didn't check it out but they did mention it. The pavilion is also right on the lake and a few kids went in the water cause it was really how in the sun. We did general admission as we've never been before and it's like bleachers on the sides and first come first serve. There's also an area in the way back that has picnic tables. The staff were nice down there as well. The slushy machines weren't freezing cause it was too hot, but that's 100% reasonable. Other than that we just got water. We tried the restaurant one night, it was ok. The bar was busy as they were having a boat cruise that night. The restaurant section was like 50% full. The chicken tenders were really good, burgers looked good and my kids like them. The view was pretty even with indoor seating. We made reservations and were sat promptly. Our server however was ehhh. Took about 10+ minutes to greet us and take order. After that food came out in reasonable time and was good. We maybe saw server once about checking on us but maybe she herself was busy? Check came out around $90 for two adults and three kids with no alcohol. Reasonable and fine, most staff were friendly, ours just seemed annoyed by us. We didn't check out the pool at all as we only stayed for a few days. The kids took a dip in the lake after the show when everyone left. We were the only ones down there. A family member who has friends seasonal there told me after the fact that we were supposed to use the beach? Unsure on this is it's true or not but staff saw us down there and didn't say anything to us and left us alone. There were picnic tables down there with umbrellas which were nice and at this time of the day there was a little breeze. Will attach photos of our site and the gas station across from us a few sites away. Some may not like that but we did. Overall I wouldn't book here for a weekend away but we would def book if we were going to another show at the venue. Never went to the bathrooms but the bathroom in restaurant was clean and nice.

It did rain today with some lightning they stopped the show and told everyone they had to go to their cars, it was a bit confusing. After about 45 mins the show went on!! There is alcohol to purchase and typical fried food and snacks. There is also a restaurant on site that looked pretty good if you want to sit down and eat. I would definitely watch more shows here in the future

They even have outdoor seating ( covered to allow shade) . The service is always great . Our server was very polite , attentive, asked about allergies , gave his suggestions , and constantly checked in on us to make sure we had everything . For started I got the firecracker shrimp , which had a sweet and tangy sauce which was delicious highly recommend ( I personally didn't think it was spicy but had great flavour ) For my entree I got the California chicken sandwich which was really good . Highly recommend and I got the side of truffle fries which had just the right amount of truffle ( since I personally don't like to much truffle ) Plenty of flavour . I also ordered the aperol spritz which was nice and light and refreshing . My friend ordered the filet which was cooked perfectly to what he wanted. Nice light seasoning with salt and pepper and juicy on the inside . Served with delicious mashed potatoes and green beans . The espresso martini he said was his second best he's ever tasted ! Situated in The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk, Burtons Grill offers a bar, a spacious dining room, a seasonal patio, and a space suited for large groups. My friends wanted to take me out for my birthday and asked where I'd like to go. I chose this spot because I'd heard so many good things about it. Since the weather was pleasant in October, we decided to sit outside. For starters, we shared a rustic bread roll served with pesto, herb, and garlic butter, and olive tapenade. In my opinion, the olive tapenade really stole the show, giving the bread a bold flavor. The bread itself was soft, warm, and utterly delicious. We also tried the signature wings coated in maple sriracha and the Memphis dry rub wings. Although I couldn't distinctly taste the maple or sriracha, the wings were still packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which was rich with spinach, artichoke hearts, parmesan, tomato-jalapeño relish, and served with tortilla chips. It was genuinely tasty. For my main course, I went with the Steak Frites, featuring a charred flatiron steak served with béarnaise sauce and Parmesan-truffle fries. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The truffle fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the truffle flavor really made them stand out. It was a simple yet satisfying dish. My friends chose the crispy fish sandwich, comprising fried haddock, pickled red onions, pickles, tartar sauce, all nestled in a brioche bun with a side of French fries. Another friend ordered the general Tso bowl, which included braised chicken glazed with general Tso sauce, along with charred broccoli, a rice-and-quinoa blend, julienned vegetables, toasted almonds, scallions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and ginger aioli. Both of them said their meals were fantastic. Our server was friendly, lively, and attentive throughout the meal. I definitely plan on returning to try more items from the menu.
