Such a charming record shop! It's pretty small with not too large of a stock, but it's really cute inside. I love the decor - especially the display window. It's also quite tidy, which most record stores tend not to be. The counter is decorated with tons of old concert tickets from Prince to Pixies. I asked the owner if he had been to all of those shows and he replied "yep, that's the perks of being an old man." Will definitely be returning!

If you are looking for first press vinyl the selection is rapidly shrinking...I loved this spot but it is deteriorating.

All were used (and all were in great shape upon arriving). Pretty freaking cool for $85 (includes shipping), for 13 records, that I genuinely enjoy and look forward to listening to again. I was really pleasantly surprised at how many records they had on the cheap that were in my wheelhouse. The descriptions on the website were very helpful, letting me (the buyer) know the condition of the record, if it came with an insert/poster/whatever, and if it was colored. Sometimes even more info than that. These guys and gals know how to vinyl. The guy I communicated with at Vinyl Conflict through email (Bobby) was really cool and didn't care about last-minute additions to my order. Packaging was great too upon receiving it. They're no dummies. Check out Vinyl Conflict, you might find some great music for a great price. Jesus I sound like a commercial. But do it anyway!

Helpful and friendly service, awesome and interesting finds, and just something fun to do if you're bored. In fact, I think it was boredom that turned me into a hipster to begin with. And ironically enough, I'm currently in the process of knitting a beanie, no joke. :-D

No, I don't need any new additions to my collection but I NEED to keep looking and buying (I bought about 12 or so LPs yesterday at Plan 9). I have a collection of (vinyl) records to rival most - over 15,000 plus almost as many CDs. I have thousands of 7 inch records. I'm 79 years old and I have most of the records I really want, but I love to continue the search. I love the experience of flipping through records. And Plan 9 is the best place (with the possible exception of Memory Lane) to do that. I spent an hour or so there yesterday morning and found things I don't need but like. I collect mostly Rock 'n' Roll, Folk, Jazz, Country, R&B/Soul but I am fascinated with the easy listening LPs of instrumentals and vocal choirs covering 60s and 70s popular music. The kids might call it "Exotica", but I call it easy listening. Plan 9 has it all - inexpensive to ridiculously expensive - Jazz, Easy Listening, Rock, Country, Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, Folk, Local music. It's a trip and I love every second of it. Thanks, Plan 9 for hanging in there and giving Richmond an iconic record store!

This cool little spot packs a punch with a nice menu, great people and an incredible selection of records. I made an effort to include this shop in my itinerary while I was in the area for a Yelp event. I had 2 goals: get a matcha and pickup some records my dad and I would both enjoy. I succeeded. I ordered the Le Yams as Matcha which was sweet and spiced with a great balance of flavor. I dug through the crates and was able to score some James Brown, Lakeside, George Duke, and Johnny Guitar Watson. I was impressed by the selection. I definitely recommend giving this place a visit and will be back as soon as I can.

After checking in, my friend and I went to the register to redeem and order our drinks. I do not like coffee, but was able to order from the menu despite that. There were so many things I wanted to try, but made a note to return regularly, not just for the drinks, but to view the record collection also. We saw so many oldies in the collection and there were a lot of albums to look through. When sat down once our drinks (The Matcha Spritz and Matcha Mule) were done and had them with vegan breakfast options provided at the event from a different vendor. La Cache Dulcet does not serve food yet, but plan to in the future. There was a DJ and he was top notch. The music wasn't so loud that we could not hear each other talk and we were right next to him. We didn't want to leave because this whole place was a vibe, but we had to get back to the tasks of the day. We purchased another drink (Chai Latte with Cardamom, Pear, and Cinnamon syrup) on the way out and it was hands down, DELICIOUS. They use oatmilk for their drinks so I didn't have to worry about dairy restrictions. This place is not just worth trying. It is worth experiencing. They plan to have events that will be announced on their Instagram page.

The shop is colorful- I didn't see the Shop cats but lots of Cat love items, fun stickers, a little bit of book bags- and I was tempted by the books- loved the corners upstairs to sit and hang out with a book or 2. Hard to choose just a couple! A must if you love books and are visiting RICHMOND-- and it sits on a street with coffee shops and more- so definitely worth an UBER if you are not staying in the neighborhood. .
