I visited here for a Yelp Elite event and had such a relaxing experience. As soon as I walked in I felt there was a need to take things easy and chill out from the day to day worries. After checking in, my friend and I went to the register to redeem and order our drinks. I do not like coffee, but was able to order from the menu despite that. There were so many things I wanted to try, but made a note to return regularly, not just for the drinks, but to view the record collection also. We saw so many oldies in the collection and there were a lot of albums to look through. When sat down once our drinks (The Matcha Spritz and Matcha Mule) were done and had them with vegan breakfast options provided at the event from a different vendor. La Cache Dulcet does not serve food yet, but plan to in the future. There was a DJ and he was top notch. The music wasn't so loud that we could not hear each other talk and we were right next to him. We didn't want to leave because this whole place was a vibe, but we had to get back to the tasks of the day. We purchased another drink (Chai Latte with Cardamom, Pear, and Cinnamon syrup) on the way out and it was hands down, DELICIOUS. They use oatmilk for their drinks so I didn't have to worry about dairy restrictions. This place is not just worth trying. It is worth experiencing. Really cool space and coffee shop with a great selection of rap, world beats, jazz and classic R&B and soul music. Large selection of 12 inch singles too. The owner was very nice and he handmade each drink. I got a chai latte and it was amazing! Sweet and delicious. There was a DJ there which really added to the vibe on a Friday morning. From the moment you walk in you are taken away by fresh coffee beans and the sounds of the 80s collaborating with the current time. It's pretty magical. The colors; the decor; the beautiful Monstera and the music selections whisking you away. The owner is a young amazing black man who takes pride is his coffee and his community. His staff is top tier! Especially Karlen! He is so informative and customer service is amazing. They all make you feel like it's never your first time there.... You're just family. Did I mention how great the coffee is? It's coffee for the coffee and matcha lover. I had a dirty chai with vanilla and brown sugar. My god! My girl Chanel had the same thing but cold and she couldn't wait to go back the next day. I also heard that the strawberry matcha is the best in RVA. And for a little extra razzle dazzle, you can go thru the record bins and they are for sale. They also keep them spinning all day creating the perfect vibe. Do yourself a favor and stop in for your coffee. Parking isn't bad, the location is downtown and easily accessible to the highway. You will not be disappointed. This is now my new regular spot a few times a week especially on Sunday on the way to church. read more

I absolutely loved Le Cache Dulcet. Quick service and great vibes. The staff is very helpful with drink recommendations and I can tell they're passionate about being a barista. I loved that there's a live DJ and he was taking song requests as well. The drink I tried was the matcha poire piquante. This tasted like autumn in a cup. I hadn't ever tried matcha with warm spice flavors so this was surprisingly good to me. A nice space with a great atmosphere. Hidden/tucked into Broad Street's Downtown/Jackson Ward corridor. The menu is not vast and that is a good thing. I have never had oat milk in my latte, but I did today and it was not bad at all. I like the decor and I was their first customer today, so I was able to speak to the owner. He was able to share the resin for offering Oat milk only and I can appreciate that reason. There are take-home offerings that you will be able to purchase as well. The vinyl selection is top notch just like this latte. I didn't purchase any today, though. The Richmond Seen Newspaper was on site today, too. I will definitely be back. I LOVE this coffee and tea shop. The owner hand makes all your beverages and he handles it with CARE. He has all sorts of flavors and combinations and he has the coolest set he does it with as well. This is also a record store and he PLAYS RECORDS. He also has alcohol free events with good music and vibes. I 100% recommend when you're in Richmond. read more

This place is such a gem. It's part record store, part coffee shop, and fully worth checking out! Pat, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about both music and coffee, and also just a genuinely great guy. He's super personable, and the vibe he's created here is relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. I haven't had a chance to try the coffee yet but based on how much care clearly goes into everything else here, I'm already looking forward to coming back for a cup soon. The record selection is eclectic and thoughtfully curated, with something for every taste. Prices are also very reasonable compared to other shops in the area. I snagged a couple great finds without breaking the bank. This Black-owned business is doing something special, and I'm excited to keep coming back. Le Cache Dulcet has such a great vibe! I had the chance to stop in while they had a DJ playing, which made the atmosphere really calming. I tried their pear and cinnamon latte, and it was the perfect drink to warm me up on this cool autumn day. The owner is so kind and a true coffee and matcha mixologist. They also have a great assortment of very affordable old records. I spent over an hour flipping through everything from Diana Ross to the Isley Brothers to Barbra Streisand. I thoroughly enjoyed both the drinks and the unique atmosphere of this coffee shop. read more

Visited this black owned coffee shop on Sunday and immediately fell in love with it!! It gives nostalgia vibes with their record collection (that is for purchase by the way) and the hip hop tunes floating through the coffee shop. I had an iced dirty chai and added brown sugar and vanilla. It was so good. The service was top tier and the staff were very friendly. I think I've found my new favorite coffee shop! read more

I stopped by chance, and I definitely recommend visiting if you have an hour to spare!! I thought the latte was a little pricey ($8) since i was only pick up and go, but it is worth it for the experience if you sit down for a moment to enjoy the beautifully curated furniture and peruse their large vinyl selection. I thought the interior decor was very fun and comfy. The owner is also super nice and walked me through their coffee beans for pour over and espresso. The latte was quite creamy due to the oat milk, and was mellow in taste with some smokey tints. Lovely cuppa! Would come again and stay longer! read more
