However, once we parked and got our tickets, things started moving better. There was more breathing room. This is not a traditional farm where you can pick your own berries. They may have that option, but we went for the activity section that they created. There were corn mazes for all sizes, games, and activities for all ages. There was a fenced kids section for smaller kids that was nice. Food was disappointing. Lines were extremely long and prices high. I would recommend eating before going. While my initial impression of this farm Was stress inducing, I was able to relax once we got into the games and activities it offered. Overall, not what I expected, but a nice experience that I would recommend to others.

They had an indoor area of all the gardening/yard supplies you'd need: pots, planters, yard tools, hoses, decorations, and more. There was also a very relaxing display of different garden water fountains and garden figurines. I walked around the entire center trying to decide which plants I should get, and then a very kind man came to offer me an ice cold bottle of water saying it was so hot outside. Turns out that was Mario, the owner of this garden center! I asked him for some advice on finding some plants or flowers that could tolerate full day of sun, and not only did he tell me which ones would work, he even helped me run around the center to plan out which plants to put together in a pot. As a complete gardening newbie (who sadly has killed way too many house plants), I was so relieved that Mario was unfazed when I asked him for easy plants that wouldn't die under my complete lack of care. I'm so glad I happened upon this garden center and met such a nice owner. Once I get a better idea of other plants and flowers I want to fill my garden with, I'll definitely come back!

About 6 months later, based on my gf's suggestion we finally visited. I expected that this historical house would be full of historical furniture or reenactors or something old timey. However, this was not the case. The house actually serves as a small rotating museum exhibition space. During our visit, they had an exhibit on NJ Diners. There are only two floors of the house so it isn't a huge museum by any means. The exhibit took about an hour for me to read through everything and I though it was pretty interesting. I'm not sure how often they rotate the exhibits out but I'd certainly come back when they do. The house was unexpectedly air conditioned. The self guided tour was totally free. Also, the workers seemed really friendly. The only hitch is parking is confusing. The main driveway is a super narrow and scary road right off of River Road. Don't go in here. Parking is actually plentiful behind the house, which is in the lot of the visitor center on Rutgers Busch Campus. Some signs showing where to park would have been helpful.
