Finding gluten-free pizza that doesn't taste like cardboard is nearly impossible, but this restaurant absolutely nails it. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside, soft in the middle, and full of flavor. Honestly, if you didn't tell me it was gluten-free, I wouldn't have known! The buffalo chicken pizza, WOW. Spicy, sweet, tangy, cheesy, with just the right kick. The chicken was tender, the sauce had a great heat without being overwhelming, and it was loaded with flavor. I stopped by here on a Thursday night drive back to western Montana from Yellowstone, just on a whim based on the locals' reviews that were rooting for this place and its kamut-based crust. Originally ordered the small cheese pizza to go, but we decided to take a break from our drive and eat the pizza in shop when we realized it wasn't crazy busy. The restaurant seems like it's brand new - super clean, everything seems really organized. Plenty of seating, and you get to look into their kitchen where they're prepping the food. Folks are friendly, and our pizza was ready when we arrived. Now - the pizza! - A. I'm not a fan of sweet sauces. I've had too many a sorry pizza that carried sauces akin to ketchup that made me wonder if indeed they used ketchup. This sauce isn't ketchup. Check. - B. Cheese distribution. I mean, just look at this pizza. The cheese made for a well tucked blanket on this pie. The cheese and sauce balance was spot on. - C. Foldability. Love or hate it, but I fold my pizza. So yeah sure, it's like a calzone at that rate, but then again I love calzones and pizzas all the same. This pizza folded well without crumbling, squishing out all the sauce and cheese, or end flopping. Which then leads me to - D. Crust. Solid crust, great flavor and good bite. A little chewy without being too chewy, crunched well without being a cracker, and didn't scream kamut to me. I've cooked kamut before, mixed with other rice - and while it's a lovely whole grain it doesn't carry a particular flavor. I'm excited that a pizza joint decided to try a different grain for its base - super tasty! This was a wonderful stop on a long drive, and the food did not disappoint. If you happen to find yourself in this neck of the woods (or plains), make this spot a stop. read more

Great pizza, so happy to have a pizza place across the street from the hospital. Definitely love the fresh ingredients and selection of toppings. Staff is friendly and prompt. This place is definitely cute and hip. It lacks dedicated staff and pizza ovens! It's a great stopover. Pizzas are fine. Drink selection okay. We ordered and then they let us know we had to wait 35 minutes for our food. Luckily they did bring it out quickly. Pizzas undercooked probably because there were so many orders coming in. Assuming it's just a new owner figuring it out. Definitely a bit of a let down and would recommend take out. Large pizzas are good for a family and smalls are good personals. Why is there no ventilation in this restaurant? Every time we've visited, including within their opening week, it is always smoky from the pizza ovens. Can't understand why they didn't have been vent fans and installation. Pizza is okay, it's usually undercooked. The salads are pretty good. Please work on better ventilation for your customers. read more

If you love pizza, I think you'll be disappointed here. The best pizza comes from brick ovens that run hot with the pizza spending little time in the oven so it comes out crisp on the outside with seared meat and vegetables. But, the inside soft and chewy. This place serves pizza that I would consider raw. I think it uses a an institutional, stainless steel oven with the conveyor belt carrying the pizzas through. It either needs slowed down or the heat turned up or both or, better, replaced with a brick oven. I didn't think much of the crust either. I love the Montana Kamut Khorasan Wheat. It's much better for you than the bleached and enriched "stuff" [for lack of a word I cannot say here]. The first few days the A/C went out, but you don't hold that against the business unless they're in the A/C business. That's like holding a police officer responsible for your overgrown backyard lawn you're too lazy to mow. The phone works for ordering. My girlfriend and I have done it often. DCP however asks you pay in advance which is their prerogative given people who order and then don't show (it's possible). It prevents waste of food which this restaurant is very adamant. Further comments made about tables and trash cans is just wrong and hold no substance (pictures next time maybe?). DCP staff bring the pizza to folks, me, and I've seen them do it for many people and other groups alike. I am responsible for some of the experience there though, like ice and a drink, napkins, and condiments. This is not a sit on your six restaurant where you get waited on hand and foot. How many "lamestream" places do you have to go get your pizza? Ice and drinks? Napkins? Dare I say, condiments too? Quite a few. The pizza parlor doesn't have beer based on beliefs some cannot begin to comprehend. Being a beer drinker, I'd love to have a beer here but I think it's great many restaurants don't sell alcohol here. Given the people's comments I'd hate to see them after they've had a few. Okay, prices are a bit more (reason for my four-star rating) than you would normally expect. There's a $6 lunch special that works out well. Plus, you are getting locally supplied wheat (Ft. Belknap I believe) and the right amount of toppings. Sure, I like my pizza baked a little longer too but given the success these folks have with a great staff I find it hard to fathom the "they'll be going out of business soon" mentality. No, they won't, and thank you for coming through our little town. If you want to spread what you're saying however farming is likely to benefit from your talent more than commenting on our local businesses. read more

Stopped here on a road trip with my family. The pizza was great! The price and selection was fair. The parking lot had plenty of room for our RV. Townsend is a nice quiet town. Always nice to see a family owned pizzeria open in a small town. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. Pizza was good, it has a real clean, fresh taste to it. I had the Madison salad which was a good portion and was very filling. Long wait, but totally understandable for the newest place in town. I was in town to visit my dad. We stopped in after a day of bumming around not really knowing what to expect. I think it was a really good thin crust pizza coupled with really good cheese sticks. I have nothing I would change for the pizza. Whomever did the remodel job on the building also did a really nice job. I will definitely be back again before I leave time. Stopped in the next day, don't judge:), I added the side salad with their vinaigrette. Solid choice, it allowed me to take a few more pieces of pizza home for later. read more

We ordered from here when they first opened so understandable that things may have been rough-however we asked for our pizza to be cooked longer so the crust was crispy and were chastised for the request. We decided to try again lately and asked twice for a crispy crust even when we came in to pick it up. Do they eat pizza??? Three people were standing around visiting w each other and no customers-it wouldn't have pained them to cook it longer. Pure laziness. This business will not last. Phone does not work for to go orders. Hour and a half wait for 2 pizzas in a 90 degree restaurant, A/C not working. Frantic owner not prepared for an early afternoon rush. Ordered 2 of the same pizzas. When they finally showed up, one was correct and the second was stripped bare of most of the ingredients. Given that we had waited so long, we decided to eat the wrong one anyway. Pizza dough is like a hardtack cracker, no flavor, machine made dough. Limited ingredients, geared towards kids, not adults. What is a pizza parlor without beer? Self serve tables which people did not clean up after eating, no busser and when we left there was a pile of plates on the counter, full trash cans and a mess on the floor. If you are going to open a restaurant, do it right and have everything working before you open the doors. We were hoping for an artisan pizza place, instead it is lousy unimaginative pizza. Go get a frozen pizza at the supermarket, it will be lightyears better than here. read more
