AUTISM PARENTS PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING CHILDREN HERE - This will be our last day here. I was truly heartbroken with ur experience coming here. My son is autistic, loves to swim, the water is very therapeutic for him. Him learning to swim is an important safety concern for me as autistic kids are high risk for drowning. After a few months I started seeing other kids get awards,"swimmer of month,etc. I started to wonder why my son never got any awards. Today when I asked - do you guys give all the students awards they said it's based on this chart (attached below ). This chart is unrealistic for most children who are special needs. Yet all over the wall are posters saying "autism awareness" and "autism acceptance " if you truly want to accept autistic children CHANGE your system! Anyone can put up a poster. Give ALL the kids who come awards. Bring back the fun in just swimming and having fun. Don't say you will teach a child how to swim when u will just take our money and let them splash around for 20minutes. My son is still working on potty training and he pooped in the pool and as soon as we walked in I'm asked about his poop times and they said they have to start checking his diaper before and after. I'm so happy I found a place that my kids genuinely enjoy coming to for swim lessons. They're all new to swimming, and Deep Blue Swim has made this such a positive and fun first experience. I took my 5-year-old grandson to the library today and asked him if you would like to take swimming lessons at Deep Blue, his response was no. So after we were done with the library we walked towards Deep Blue and the doors were open, so I told my grandson, let's go check out the pool and he was willing. Austin came out and greeted us. He asked if we wanted to see the inside and my grandson wanted to check it out. Austin was so welcoming, great interaction with customers. He gave me the information on the programs and answered all of my questions. Austin made it great experience today in checking Deep Blue. We have been attending Deep Blue Swim School since my daughter was 4 months old, and let me tell you, from the mommy and me classes to the private lessons, my daughter and I have been enjoying this swim school for 6 years now. The instructors and front desk employees are absolutely amazing, professional, and very friendly. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Worst service I have ever received- or rather never received at all. I was given a gift certificate to become scuba certified with deep blue at their Belmont Shore location. Was initially told that they were undergoing construction and had to wait for that to be finished in February. I, along with a few other students, were then told in August that we would be taking our courses with Eric Pendrey and that he would email us the schedule. We have only heard from him twice since then and he never set a schedule for us or even told us where we'd take the classes. We've tried contacting Jonathan Hall, our "coach", contacting the Belmont shore location which is now closed, contacting the bixby knolls location - all to no avail. We've only had one class here so far (most of our baby love classes were at the Belmont Shore location). I really love the pool here! It's bigger than the other location and it's not as deep too. So there is more room to move around for the group classes. Another huge plus is that there are more changing areas! And more options to dress baby (closed door or out in the open). So wait time is shorter here. I love that they have a parking lot around the back too. We always struggled with parking at the other location which ended up taking extra time too. This location is farther away from us, but thinking about continuing classes here instead. Staff was very nice as well. Would recommend all around! read more

I want to reply to the business owner/manager's reply to my review. First of all I never used foul language or yelled at anyone. The only member of his staff that was rude to me was Kaitlyn. Since I was bringing my granddaughters there for five years I never had an issue. I did not do anything you have accused me of doing. You were never there and did not see or hear how I was treated that day. My son in law was upset-but you lied to him regarding what really happened. He did not owe you an apology as I was the one who was treated badly. You were quick to believe your employee without asking me what happened. It's great to me that you kicked "me" out because we love our new pool and the teachers there. My granddaughters are happier and we have a dressing area to change their clothes after swim. Plus we don't have to be treated rudely by your rude staff. Maybe you should check on what they really do when your not there. read more

One star is all I can give when I signed my son up about 3yrs ago, it's not the same. They don't update you on progress. They play favoritism, the manager Liz talks over you as your talking she's rude and finds an excuse over every complaint if you read the reviews you'll see. It's not worth what I was paying. During Covid they had this thing call wrap and go, so you have to have your kid ready to swim and after wrap them in a towel and change them in the car but not everyone would follow this rule, other parents we're changing in the bathroom and no one would say anything... also they don't update you on there progress on there swimming til months later to a year and that's if you ask and the manager tells you that's up to the instructor but isn't she the manager to be on top of it... also on my sons last session I feel as if they told the instructor not to bother because all the instructor did was talk to my son the whole time very disappointing... the front desk is busy doing tik toks, and the manager talks about parents in front of parents as if we're not there all I'm saying is for the $195 a month for 20min sessions it could be run better. Ofcourse I was gonna get a reply back like this go figure. Just happy to take my son somewhere where the vibes never change. And it has nothing to do with tuition etc but thanks for pointing that out. Once again I hope it gets managed better by someone else who cares. Thank you. And I felt I shouldn't complain as the manager should keep up with the issues that are pretty obvious. The fact that you have to go back and fourth with the customer is pretty sad. I had the worst experience with this swim school. The cost for classes is $175 for 4 classes 20 mins each. It's a bit pricey but I said what the heck let me give it a try. WORSE DECISION I MADE. One they skipped you on time if someone running late and then it's your turn to go they don't roll the time over. I contact the front desk about it and they just like I will talk to the instructor. Also if you don't continue membership , they only give you one week to use your token(to make up a class), and you better not have an emergency because they will not let you reschedule and also there's no REFUNDS. Wanted to leave Miss Cora a review. She's an amazing swimming instructor. I'm taking her adult private classes and she has helped me immensely to get over my fear of water .
