A couple of high school students had their vehicles illegally towed from Farmer's Market in HB. The tow was not compliant with CA vehicle code 22658 in which the owner of the Farmer's market did not meet 2 of the 4 signage requirements. Code 22658 Section (e) (1) (2) states the person causing the removal of a vehicle parked on that property is liable for double the storage or towing charges whenever there has been a failure to comply with proper signage and is subject to a fine of $1,000. If your vehicle was illegally towed this weekend from Farmer's Market in HB, please contact me to join the lawsuit. Would give 5 stars for DTS staff customer service but had to knock it to 3 because they should have been more responsible in confirming signage that it was a good tow. Extremely disappointing and stressful experience. I parked in this condominium's paid parking and my time was fully paid until 10:57 a.m. Despite this, a tow was authorized around 10:38 a.m., while my parking was still valid. When I returned at 11:17 a.m., my car was already gone. I was walking back with my two young daughters in cold weather. The apartment we were visiting was far from the parking area, which explains the short delay, but that should never justify an early tow--especially when parking was still paid. Management later admitted their system does not even record the exact tow time and relied on "assumptions" to justify the action. They also claimed a vehicle can be towed immediately after paid time expires, which directly contradicts California Vehicle Code protections for paid parking on private property open to the public. This situation caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and expense, all due to poor oversight and disregard for the law. Very disappointing management practices. Hello all, it's very unfortunate that I have to come on here to express my dissatisfaction with this towing company. As I was picking up my car I realized my car had severe damages from the towing services. I contacted management to file a claim because my car has severe damages on the front bumper which is detached now, the bottomed plastic covering is hanging and scraping on the street as I drive. Management informed me they were going to contact me the day I filed my claim because they had to speak to the driver to confirm he did the damages. However they have not been responsive and have been avoiding me as I called 3 times. It's annoying to believe that my car had those damages already prior to it getting towed. It's so unrealistic and this can be proven due to the towing yanking the bottom of my car, front bumper being detached from the side. Pictures will be included I still have not got a resolution. Very disappointing experience. It seems this company does not pay close attention to how their drivers interact with customers. I was genuinely surprised by how poorly we were treated and the lack of accountability shown. I had clear proof of my parking spot and still ended up wasting two hours, only for the job not to be completed. The driver walked off without properly reviewing the lease, came across as rude and dismissive, and gave the impression he simply did not want to be there. Our building landlord contracted this company to provide us with towing services for when unauthorized vehicles are parked on our property. We have posted signs advertising DTS Towing as the company and number to call. The other night there was an unpermitted event and we had dozens of unauthorized vehicles parked on our property. I made THREE seperate calls to ask them to please send someone to tow and remove the unauthorized vehicles. After almost an hour, I was told that they were "busy responding to other security calls"(whatever that bs even means). What they really meant to say was that they're shady and spineless and they didn't want to come tow their friends' cars. And I gave them my drivers license and the consent form and then they said it needs to be proven. The policy says nothing about that. If their policy made sense it would be a lot more efficient. I strongly advise against using their services due to their potentially illegal actions. This afternoon, I noticed an unauthorized $190 charge to my credit card for a transaction I did not make, shortly after handing over my card to the staff earlier today to pay for the towing fee. I've been using this card for three years without incident, relying mostly on Apple Pay--except for this occasion when the staff insisted that only physical cards or cash would be accepted. I was beneficiary of the property. The police said it was not a city tow and was a private matter. The tow yard finally told me that the call came from a lady claiming to be on the condo assoc. Board and said the car had been abandoned for months which was I lie I had parked the same day she called. The condo assoc.was changed to a different association right after this the new association who knew this person said they don't have a tow company that works Stanton park. The really interesting fact is the car parked in that space had expired tags. It was parked on the street before when they got home according to witnesses. If I could leave less than one star I would. I live in Carriage Mobile Estates, and in 2019, we were told as residents that we could call in to have cars towed when they were parked illegally in the red zone. I have attempted on multiple times to contact this company in regards to cars that are illegally parked, however they seem to change the rules without informing any of the residence and now only the manager, Vickie can call. This is a little inconvenient as she's only in the office part time, and is always gone by 5 o'clock, and she's never here on the weekends. She doesn't even live nearby. This is the worst interaction I have ever had with any type of business BY FAR. My car was towed from my apartment complex that I have lived at for almost 7 years now. We have a 2 bedroom therefor we are allotted 2 parking spots and 2 parking permits, an open parking spot and a carport spot which we park both of our cars interchangeably depending on who gets home first. We have never had an issue with this and have never been towed for the last 7 years up until last week when DTS towed my car from my complex that I pay a lot of money to live at. My other car was in my carport and the car that was towed was in an open spot, not taking up any additional spots. Literally no reason to tow other than being money hungry thieves. I am checking to see if my complex authorized this tow because it has never been an issue since I've lived there. I realized my car was gone around 6:45 in the morning so I called and they said there is an after hours fee to get my car back before 8 am, which is absolutely ridiculous. I had to be late to work to avoid paying an even more outrageous fee. So I get to their lot knowing there's nothing I can do but pay the fee and get my car back. Everything went smoothly, and I was very respectful to the staff processing my payment and assisting in getting my car back at this point because I knew they were just doing their job. I was charged a whopping $370. Whatever, there's nothing I can do about it. This is where everything changed.. One of their many ex-con's took me back to get my car where it was parked on wood blocks. I was confused and asked him if I can drive my car off of them because it was elevated and looked like it would be an issue removing my car. He said yes and asked me to roll my window down so he can assist me. He motioned at me to move forward, as I was moving forward he said wait now reverse, so I did. Then he motioned for me to stop and told me that one of the wood blocks had been lodged in my wheel well. Exactly why I asked him if it was safe to drive on the wood blocks in the first place. He then tells me he needs to get the forklift to remove my vehicle. So I step out of my car while he pulls it forward. As he was removing the forklift from my vehicle, parts of my bumper flew off so I pulled out my phone and started recording. He then steps in front of my camera and is telling me I am not allowed to record the damage they just did to my vehicle. The employees started collecting the broken pieces, I would assume to dispose of them since they are evidence of them damaging my vehicle. I retrieved them and told them I'm taking them with me. Their employees are then telling me I need to get in my car and leave or they are going to call the police. I welcomed the threat as I needed to make a report with PD anyways. They then threatened to get in my car and drive it off their lot if I didn't. So I waited for the cops to get there and when they did I gave them my story and the officer said "ya sounds about right, we get calls to this place all the time because they're shady". After reading through your reviews, it is beyond evident that you guys have ZERO integrity and a horrible business ethic and should be looked into by the Better Business Bureau. Richard, your desperate attempt to come up with some type of excuse for each complaint in order to save face for your unethical excuse of a 'business' is actually comical . Honestly the customer service here is atrocious. Every single employee I spoke with was short tempered and rude, I couldn't even ask a question without being interrupted or hung up on. It took me multiple calls to not only find out if they had my car but also how much it was going to be to get back. when I started asking about their rates and how they changed for the tow, they would say "they already answered that question" (when they had not answered my question). Jonathan was by far the worst of the bunch not only being rude but also attempting to antagonize the situation saying things like "why is your voice shaky? Are you gonna cry?", "You must have problems", "I can't hear you, you sound like a little girl", and even going so far as to put me on hold after every question I asked (8 times in total) and then he would answer the phone "DTS how may I help you" pretending like he didn't just put me on hold. When I asked for the manager he told me that there was no manager in and that she was on vacation. I asked for her name and contact information and he flat out refused to give me her name or the name of a district manager or even the owners name. On top of everything they told me that they charge $350 every 24 hour and that if I don't pick my car up by 5pm that they would be adding another change of $350... My car was towed at 2am, 2am to 5pm is 15 hours. They tried to charge me for 48 even though my car was only ther for maybe 15 hours. This is simply atrocious customers service andi sincerely hope that this company takes serious action to stop this kind of blatant harassment.
