I hired Royal Palm General Services to do a job in my backyard. The job included tree removal,…read moreshrub removal, gravel removal, and irrigation repair. The trees and shrubs were removed, but they then refused to remove the gravel stating "I can't do that for this price". He also wasn't able to complete the irrigation job as promised. They also broke one of my chairs on my patio and broke my mailbox without notifying me they had done so. Couple all of this with what may be the worst communication I've ever dealt with, and I wouldn't hire them to build a dog house. I regret hiring them and I further regret not making sure all of this was in writing. Learn from my mistakes and steer clear from this company.

Do NOT use Art of Fencing. We had the absolute worst experience we have ever had with any company…read morewith them. Garrett seems like a nice guy that will take care of you, but when it comes down to it once he gets your deposit then they don't care any more. First, we scheduled to have aluminum railing (which we were ensured we would be able to pick out, but they have no catalog or anything, they basically give you what they want and is affordable to them) put on our front porch between our brand new stone columns which was a BIG mistake, as he promised he knew what he was doing and would have guys working with him who did too, who are actually just his family members who know as little about mounting as he does. The job that was promised to be done before our housewarming party in August was pushed back multiple times, and 4 weeks later we asked for our deposit back which he refused because he claimed to have already ordered the material. Again, the day before scheduled installation at 5 pm l had to call to make sure they were coming the next day (that I had taken off work) and he said it was going to be another week. Finally they dropped off the material 5 days later and said they'd be back in 2 days to install (about a month and a half from our initial agreed upon date). Well first thing they drilled a hole into the side of my house that was in the wrong spot, and I had to fix and paint it when they were done. As the job progressed I noticed my stone was being excessively damaged, which I was reassured would be taken care of before the job was complete and not to worry. Then I noticed later on they were using the wrong brackets! Not the ones we had agreed on that we had sent pictures of and told him to look at a house down the street so he specifically knew which ones we were talking about (he said he did, but obviously didn't). By this time they were almost finished and it was about dark, so he said he'd come back and finish the job the next day, give us our gate caps, permit, fix the stone, and install the correct brackets. Guess who didn't show up the next day? Or ever again for that matter. We called multiple times trying to get him to come out just to look at what all was wrong with it so we could come to a resolution but eventually he just stopped answering our calls. So now we are stuck with a gate that was installed crookedly with no caps so it can just rain down into the material, no weight bearing leg on our long railing which is now bowing, excessive stone damage, and an unfinished job that he refuses to come back and do. We eventually had to take down the half finished product and again pay someone to do the job correctly. The materials that he left weren't even worth half the money we had paid him already. And he says he's proud of his job and business! What a joke. The positive reviews of their company are mostly written by their friends (we were told this by a guy who used to work with them before they were fired from his company). Stay as far away as you can from this company and the scam artists that run it or I promise you will regret it.
