I explained that the job would need to be permitted and that he would need to work when there was not a guest staying in the house and he agreed to both and said I would need to give a 50 percent deposit. He attempted to get a permit but ran into difficulties and said the workers at the City of Orlando permitting department were 'a bunch of immigrants' and 'towel heads'. I purchased my home here in Palm Coast, FL on Oct 18, 2021. I met a lot of contractors to do the work, and finally chose to hire Jose Collado (AG Construction aka AG Pavers) after doing a lot of research for the best option. Since I was new to the area, I relied on past review history and am so glad I hired Jose. Check him out on home advisor/Angie's list. His crew and work staff were timely, respectful, and did a very good job. He oversaw quite a few projects: Pavers - patio, porch, side, and pathway around garden (completed October) Flooring entire interior (completed October) Interior and Exterior Painting (completed October) Master and Spare Bathroom updates (completed February) Lighting throughout house (completed October) Kitchen /laundry room renovation (completed February) Lots of other little add-ons were also done, I can't begin to list them all! The few delays we had were due to delays in receiving bathroom and kitchen cabinets, but workers were super at planning around it. When I look back and consider what was becoming a new norm - all the crazy supply issues, and ability to even find good workers, I am amazed how blessed I was to see it all get completed within four short months. Jose's crew began work 10/20/2021 and had it all done by February! Jose was a great communicator and easy to work with. He helped oversee an excellent group of guys who all worked to make my Palm Coast house a "brand new" and cozy home. These guys are honest and work to complete satisfaction. You won't be disappointed if you hire Jose.

Since I couldn't find a reasonable one stop shop for a garage with a concrete floor I had to go with two different companies for my plan and get the permits myself. I called A Level Up Concrete for the concrete floor. They came out and gave me an estimate so I went ahead and hired them for the floor I wanted. It wasn't just the great job they did with the concrete pour but their overall willing to help and do what they could to make their part of the garage project as easy and as smooth as possible. They were beyond helpful and patient with me while I tried to figure out the permit process which had created a few snags. Part of it was learning the hard way on how long a permit can take and where the concrete could be poured in relation to the property line (hint; double check, its different for everyone depending on where you live) I had a lot going on in my life along with this project so I was stressed and it was amazing how Seth picked up on that and more than once told me to relax and he would take care of it. Both he and Shelli went above and beyond during this process and I'm so grateful. I have a few more projects I'm thinking of doing and of course, I'm having A Level Concrete come back.

They were hardworking, professional, courteous, and did quality work. The crew was one of the best parts of the entire project, and they should be recognized for their efforts and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, our experience with ownership was less positive. During the project, a delivery resulted in damage to a portion of our existing driveway as well as the city sidewalk. Rather than immediately taking responsibility for the damage, we were initially told that we would be responsible for the repairs. After considerable back-and-forth discussions, Curtis Concrete ultimately agreed to repair the damaged areas, which we appreciated, but it was a frustrating process that could have been handled much differently. In the end, the repairs were made and the finished product looks good. However, better communication, customer service, and accountability from ownership would have made for a much more positive experience. While the work crew earned five stars, the overall experience was average due to the challenges encountered when addressing project-related damage.
