Rick was our salesperson and he went over what we should expect during the process, that's ok. So, It's been 6 weeks since we had the garage floor coated and so far, all appears ok. Now let me go over my experience but first, I would just say that both crews that worked on my flooring were courteous and showed up on-time, I intentionally left names off this review. The initial work done on the floor wasn't what I had expected due to the uneven clear-coat applied and the vinyl shards protruding on the surface. Beware: Vinyl chip points covered with hardened epoxy become very sharp and will slice skin like a razor. The Vacuum on the concrete sander and/or the hand-held sander must not have been working as the dust was removed from the floor using a standard leaf blower. The expulsion of dust was so great that neighbors thought we had a fire. Unfortunately I didn't capture that, but my ring camera picked up some of it. Also, I removed all contents from the garage floor as instructed out to the driveway, but left items on the shelfs. Needless to say everything was covered with dust inside, and outside up to 30ft. I spent 6 hrs blowing and cleaning all inside/outside items, so cover up your stuff!. Moving on, I called the service dept. and was thrilled at the quick response time I received from the supervisor. Supervisor came and looked at the floor and determined I needed to have floor redone. Floor was scheduled the next week and crew performed well. I appreciated Shark Coating getting out to acknowledge the problem and took care of it quickly. Shark's quick response netted them another garage job from a neighbor of mine. Finally, I would recommend that Shark Coatings ensure that their equipment (vacuum) function properly and that their salespersons follow-up with more than a postcard. Sincerely. read more

Orlando Office: This company services different parts of FL. I am very happy with this product. The process was fast and on schedule. Two days for the complete process, second day is to let it dry. This is a commercial grade material so expect higher cost. Completely worth it in my opinion. The service included grinding of the floors, any cracks are filled before the final coating is applied. Shark coatings has been back to my house to make repairs 4 times since the original installation. Areas started to lift along the curtain drain on the pool and then we started seeing bubbles. Then staining. We have puddles where we never used too and after a rain storm I go out and sweep off the covered area of my lanai. The service department responds responsibly to make the repairs and after seeing the technician for the 6th time im tired of calling to have them come back. I found more bubbles the other day and have decided to just live with them. This stuff is super expensive and in my opinion, there has to be better alternatives for the money. The gentleman that came to give us an estimate was honest and told us that part of the driveway would need to be removed as it would crack again. He came and actually broke the broken driveway part for us. I have been preashur washing and painting my garage floor yearly at a cost of $400/yr and 3-4 days of my time. Over 25 years that is a lot of maintenance. The HOT tires in the summer of my sports cars would peel the paint up so I had to put carpets down for my cars to park on. My neighbors had their 3 car garage done by Shark coating when they built the house and it looked great. I asked for a quote online and Joe came out the next day to measure the job. He even sent an email the day before with his picture identification so I knew who to expect the next day. He told me about the product, Warenty, color options and texture options. When researching the different options I came up with the prices ranges for: DIY epoxy $1/sqft vs , pro epoxy $5/sqft vs Polyaspartic $8-$12/sqft per the internet. They were on the low end of the range at $8/sqft. Their guarantee/warrantee is 15yr and includes labor as well as product. Some companies only cover the product so they don't care if they come out yearly to fix problems. They have a minimum of $2500/job so if job is over $5k you can split it into two separate jobs if needed but best to just do it in one day. They have two textures: (Shark skin) to make it non slip like a pool deck vs driveway or smooth. Plenty of colors options well to choose. I decided to do it all in one day and they have a deal with a mini storage group that will deliver a container for you to use for your garage stuff for a week. The deal is: 8x8x20 $95 weekly vs $229 monthly 8x8x16 $85 weekly vs $175 monthly Plus Transportation: $60 each way Prep before they show up: 1) Have all belongings removed from the floor being installed as well as anything hanging lower than 2 feet on the walls 2) Ensure sprinklers are off during the duration to ensure the floor is dry ( cannot coat wet concrete) 3) Driveway is clear for crew to back in work trailer 4) Dry times start after final top coat has been installed: 8 hours to walk on and 24 hours for full cure time 5) Crew normally arrives between 8-10AM driving from Jacksonville. When you are ready put half down online with your bank routing numbers or via your credit card but add 3% additional fee. I sent a physical check from my bank to their main office in Jacksonville. The team showed up with four guys, two trucks and two trailers. They were all very nice and pleasant and set out immediately to working on the garage. They started at 9 o'clock and had 1000 sq/ft 4 car garage done in seven hours. A beautiful job that transformed my garage. read more

Not sure why this is listed as we being in CA. We're not, we're in Deland, Fl. To start, the end result of the product is something both my wife and I are happy with. The problem is with the disrespect of our home is where I can not recommend this company. We had a concrete patio outside our lanai as part of our job. That surface was ground down with a walk-behind machine, along with a small hand-held one. The screen portion of the Lanai spans the largest side of its rectangular shape. Nothing was done to cover the screens, and a very large portion of the cement dust created by the grinding is now covering everything in the Lanai, the screens, walls, all the furniture, plants, the ceiling fan, my glass sliders leading to the main house and another to our Master Bedroom, and the floor. When we brought this to the attention of the 'foreman,' the reply was sorry, I'd be happy to wipe it down. Useless offer because with everything covered, anyone can see a 'wipe down' would do nothing for getting that room back to where it was before the job. Pure and simple, sloppy, uncaring work. If we had known this amount of clean-up would be required on our part, we never would have given them the job. read more

Looking for epoxy but commercial grade? Well here it is. They don't need sales people to sell you or force you into buying, just research the product and you will be sold. Extremely durable. It is going to cost more than epoxy as they grind down the concrete and it's usually a full day job but it's totally worth it. If you are looking to upgrade your garage or patio, this is a great idea. I highly recommend it. From the initial quote to the install everything went very smooth. I hired shark Coatings because I thought going with a large company would be safer. I told them I was concerned with the top coat being to light and didn't want a lot of edges to be able to pick up dirt and they said don't worry we can do that. Unforatunately, that's not what happened. Told them about the problem and they sent someone out quick to assess and he said he will have someone come back and fix the issues. There was a little bubbling also. I was trying to do this before I moved into the house because at that point it doesn't matter I can't leave everything outside over night. It's been over a month and nobody has contacted or came back out to address the issues. The smaller guy was much less money and he seemed much more confident of what to do to get the finish I was trying to achieve. If I have to do it over again I would definitely go with a small company rather than a large one. read more

Went through the whole process and was told we'd receive an emailed estimate. Felt like dealing with a car sales rep. Estimate never came.
