In all shapes and sizes, rugs pop out and grab your eye. You've never seen so many. I had a style in mind, and with only a few minutes of discussing it, Aytekin had pinpointed the style and had 4-5 options in his head that he knew were in the store. Getting to them was a task... The second reason I had a great experience was that the other guys working in the store were so hardworking. Some of the rugs that Aytekin had in mind were at the bottom of a large pile. The other guys had to move every single rug (no exaggeration: probably 500 rugs) to get to the ones that were stylistically similar to what I wanted. This took a while, but all the time we were admiring the rugs in the middle, so no sweat there. The third reason my experience was great is that Aytekin really listened to me. I knew what I wanted and I had a price in mind that I wanted to spend. He showed me a wide variety of options and we settled on one that met my needs. This is not a discount rug store; all the rugs are of the highest quality and I can tell that the one I got is going to last for a long time. It's worth buying something that's great, in this case. That was my experience with ordering a pantry from Modern Bungalow. It took a few months to arrive, because Amish master craftsmen took the time to build an absolutely stunning piece of furniture, from carefully chosen pieces of gorgeous maple wood. If the pantry were small enough to fit on a dresser, I'd call it a jewelry box; it's that beautiful. The pantry is amply-sized. Using traditional hand-tooled and mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques, the pantry is meticulously constructed. The substantially deep shelves, which I have already loaded with giant heavy canned goods (like San Marzano tomatoes, for making my famous pasta sauce), and bottles of imported vinegars and California's finest olive oils, not to mention a cartload of baking supplies, provide ample storage for any manner of pantry goods, and the hardware used for the pantry doors is substantial enough to keep them from ever sagging. When I asked for a fair resolution, the owner: * Repeatedly ignored my requests to communicate via email * Hid behind Terms and Conditions, then contradicted them by threatening to cancel my order * Gave me four different delivery timelines, none of which held * Blamed BDI, the shipping company, and the weather * Offered me a net $50 discount and called it "reasonable and fair" * Gave me 33 minutes via email to accept an offer or he'd cancel The moment I asked him to commit to an actual delivery date with accountability, he cancelled the order and refunded my deposit. Robert held $2,000 hostage for seven weeks for a cabinet that was never coming. Save yourself the headache.
