I would not recommend 4Gen Remodeling based on my experience…read more I contacted this contractor about remodeling my 54" × 34" shower. Before hiring someone for this type of project, I believe it is completely reasonable for a homeowner to ask detailed questions about measurements, materials, waterproofing, scope of work, and the installation process. Unfortunately, the contractor never came to my home to measure the shower, and he did not have the dimensions of the existing shower. When I continued asking reasonable questions before committing to the project, instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he told me: "You are too tough of a client for a simple job. Good luck with your project." I found that response unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Asking questions before spending thousands of dollars on a home remodeling project should not make a customer a "tough client." I was also unable to independently verify his claim that he has been in the business for 40 years. The online business information I found indicates a considerably shorter operating history. In addition, the company's BBB profile shows that it is not BBB accredited and currently has only a small number of BBB reviews. To be clear, I did not hire 4Gen Remodeling, so I cannot personally comment on the quality of their completed work. My review is specifically about my experience during the consultation and communication process. For me, a good contractor should be willing to answer reasonable questions, properly assess the project before quoting it, and treat a potential customer with respect--even if the customer ultimately decides not to proceed. Based on my experience, I decided to take my project elsewhere.

I have also recommended 4Gen to friends who have ultimately selected them over other companies and have been very satisfied.

We had a great experience working with Owner, Peter Exis, Tameka, Office Administrator, and their Crew, lead by Giovanni, a skilled carpenter and project lead. They made it easy to do business and the results were spectacular, they transformed our home into our dream home. Peter worked around our budget along the way and provided us with recommendations and solutions to meet both our vision and budget. We did not hire a designer, however working with Peter, who is also an artist, to design our kitchen and bathrooms was extremely helpful. The crew, lead by Giovanni, were great, respectful, patient with us, and had a great attention to details. The craftsmanship was on point and exactly what we envisioned. The total cost was extremely reasonable for the scope of work we had done, which included, but not limited to; refinishing the hardwood floors throughout our home, two wall removals to open up our kitchen and foyer areas, refurbishing and refinishing our staircase with new balusters and knoll posts, four bathroom remodel (including our master bathroom), refurbishing and painting the basement bar, expanded kitchen remodel, and painting of all walls, doors (with new hardware replacement), trim, and all shutter blinds. We were extremely satisfied with Exis General Contracting and will definitely continue to refer them to family and friends.

We hired Cornerstone remodeling for a master bath, kitchen remodel that included new flooring for…read morethe entire first floor. The end result is absolutely beautiful. We truly appreciated the patience and ease of the initial design phase. The bathroom layout was challenging due to the space available. Kyle and Hannah offered multiple designs, met our questions and requests with a positive attitude and provided excellent suggestions. They worked with us until we got it just right. After the designs were set, the fun part of selecting materials began. What felt overwhelming was made easy and fun with the designer assigned to our project. Hannah was an absolute pleasure to work with. She has an excellent eye for color and space. The end result is a cohesive design that is pulled together with the design elements we chose. One word of advice for both Cornerstone and future customers, know your appliance selections before ordering cabinets. We weren't aware of the level of importance of this step. You would think that refrigerators have standard sizes but they don't. It's more general. Understanding what a 36" range looks like compared to a 48" range will make a big difference knowing what is then available for counter space and cabinet options. Design changes after cabinets are ordered are nearly impossible. For us, all appliances were available for delivery in about 3 weeks with the exception of the range, which wasn't available for 3 months. The kitchen was finished almost a month before the range arrived. Understanding when to place the order is helpful. Cornerstone recommends a local appliance company that is reputable and easy to work with. It took a couple of weeks to work through all of the options and make our choices. We started a little too late and experienced some frustration because of that. What impressed us most was the quality workmanship, professionalism and respect for our home shown by every Cornerstone employee and also every sub contractor provided for the project. We've had other smaller projects in our home and can't say the same. It's obvious that Cornerstone has high standards and expectations for anyone they send to their customer's homes. The end result for the bathroom, first floor flooring and kitchen is absolutely spectacular. Look at their instagram and you will see. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends and already have.

I must say, after suffering through so many half-baked contractors who think they know better, I…read morewas quite prepared for disappointment. But RemodelNow... they delivered. We had our bathroom completely redone -- a proper luxury soaking tub and a spacious walk-in shower. Not those pathetic little plastic boxes most companies try to force on people. Steve, the sales representative, actually listened instead of pushing whatever cheap package they had leftover that week. Quite refreshing, I must admit. The crew worked cleanly, on schedule, and without the usual drama of disappearing for days or inventing "unexpected costs." The finished bathroom looks genuinely expensive. The tub is deep and comfortable, the walk-in shower has proper water pressure and space, and the overall quality is far above what one typically finds in this market. Most remodelers these days seem content to do the bare minimum and call it "luxury." RemodelNow, to their credit, did not. They simply did the work correctly. The crew showed up on time, kept the house cleaner than expected, and actually communicated when something was going to take a little longer. No disappearing for days or random surprise charges. The finished kitchen looks better than the 3D render they showed us, which almost never happens. As someone who usually overthinks every home project, it was genuinely low-stress. They handled the details, answered questions without making me feel dumb, and the quality of the work is solid. We've already recommended them to two friends. If you're on the fence about remodeling, just call them and ask for Steve. Worth every dollar.
