I had the most magical private shopping experience this evening at declaration & co. Not to mention the Easter egg hunt with goodies inside the eggs including a $5 coupon. Oh and did I mention complimentary champagne. My friend Vanessa RSVP'd for us to attend a private shopping event. She posted on IG a few months ago and the store looked charming so I asked her to take me next time. We checked in upon arrival and were offered one of three Easter themed mimosas. Yes, please and thank you;) We browsed candles, cloths, greeting cards , jewelry, candy, Easter baskets, moisterizing face masks, mugs, cups, books, journals, small bags and much more. The cool part was the gifts were unique, items you will not find in any other store. There was a book you fill out, answering questions about someone else, then you give it as a gift. It was called, "A Book About You." This would be a thoughtful present! They gave us a recyclable bag when we came in. We used it to shop then took it home. My friend purchased a few gifts and they wrapped them in tissue paper and added a bow to the bag. So nice! Service was excellent and check-out moved quickly. They have a rewards program which I joined as I know I will be going back soon! read more

I would have loved to go to this store, however I saw that they don't require workers or patrons to wear a mask. I don't appreciate companies who do not take a global pandemic seriously, as someone who has family who have been deeply affected I cannot stand behind any business that doesn't value public health and the health of people they serve. To me a mask is more comfortable than a respirator. No matter how much sanitizing a store has, this virus is primarily transmitted via human to human contact not surfaces. It's really a shame because the store seems like somewhere I could purchase some cute things for myself and my new home. read more

I passed by this place while walking down bustling San Marco Avenue, on the hunt for some antique/thrift stores. I usually stay away from boutiques -- as the price tags kind of frighten me (remember how I said I was look for second-hand shops? Lol). But I was drawn in by the "Cute Things Inside" sign. I like cute things! I want to be cute! They weren't lying. This place is adorable, with the girliest of aesthetics. They sell women's clothes, accessories, and home decor (candles, prints, keychains, cups, etc). While the price for clothes was pretty standard for a boutique (upward of $40-50+ for the bigger pieces), I was surprised to see how affordable the other goods were. If you're a Florida native, or simply just visiting, and want to rep your state, they have really adorable FL-themed items. I stocked up on stickers and pins. If you find yourself all the way to the back, they had a small section for Final Sale items tucked away in the corner. I found some cool 904/Jacksonville stuff! Apparently they used to have a store in the Avondale area. Bummer because if it would have been closer to me, I'd have visited more often. I'd recommend this place if you're accessory shopping or even shopping for a Mama. They had really cute Mommy and nursery items that'll sure stand out from other gifts. *Oh! And I just noticed someone has posted a review about masks not being required. I can't remember if there was a sign or not advertising the ordinance, but the employee was wearing a mask. Fun local Florida gifts as well. Negatives: Not so sure on the quality of the clothes here. I have bought multiple pieces of clothing here that have not lasted long. While perusing the streets of downtown St. Aug one afternoon, a friend and I stumbled across this gem of a shop. The "oohs" and "ahhs" did not stop coming as we literally combed over everything the store had to offer. Never had I seen so many adorable things in one little space! It is the perfect place to shop for any bridal or baby showers that you might have coming up, or even if you just want to treat yourself to something sparkly and fabulous. The bright, beautiful store evokes a feeling of whimsy that will keep you coming back for more. Lara, who owns the shop, is a total doll. I went in one day looking for jewelry for my bridesmaids, and stumbled across the perfect earrings. The only problem was there were only four pairs, and I needed six. Lara called the designer on the spot, and secured another two pairs. The earrings arrived within a matter of days, wrapped to perfection and ready to go. Aside from selling beautiful little trinkets, Lara creates all types of custom event goods, from invitations to favors and everything in between. We have decided to use DBE for our upcoming wedding, and so far they have been great to work with. Lara has created several mock invitations for us, and is more than willing to tweak things to match our vision. Overall this shop is a breath of fresh air in a town that at times can be a little too touristy. Stop on in, you will not be disappointed! read more

Their eye for display is fantastic. One side of the store is retro candy and the rest of it is a combination of their adorable decor items, jewelry, and clothing. Great shop in downtown St. Augustine. Excellent selection of gifts, stationery, candy, baby stuff, and home items. Some things are pricey (my fave thing was a pillow that was $115, so that didn't happen) but it is a refreshing change from many of the other touristy stores in the area. They carry Rifle Paper Co products and some handmade goods as well. read more
