I pass by this place occasionally and have always wondered what was going on in there. Was hungry and the right place and the right time to stop in and give them a try today. It went great. To start, the place is huge. Tons of seating including lots of outdoor tables overlooking some water, and a big open dining room with a full bar indoors. About that, the whole place is very open-air. It's got beach vibes and with the way it's set up, even if you're inside, you're gonna get some warm summer air, so be ready for that. Was met at the host stand by happy and lively people who took me straight to a table and someone came along immediately to take my order. So the service was top notch. It took me a minute to decide what to order because the menu has a little bit of everything. Oysters, snow cones, burgers, wings, various types of seafood, pizza, and a full coffee menu with lattes etc. So no matter what you're looking for they've got it. I kept it simple and got a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The fries were crisp, the burger was fresh and had a homemade vibe to it that kind of pushed it over the edge. Really good. Pretty sure I kind of inhaled it in record time. Would order again. Long story short this place kind of has it all. Stopped in for lunch one afternoon while visiting the area. A beautiful location, right on the waters edge. Open air, with covered outside lots of deck seating as well as tables with umbrellas on the decks. Walked in and the sign said sit where you like, so we found a table in the shade covered area. Our friendly server followed us over with menus and got our drink requests. She was professional and kind and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. A bar food menu, we started off with the chips and salsa. The chips were out of a bag and the salsa from a jar. It was okay but nothing special. Basically what you would do at home. I opted for their Pontoon Nachos, a huge serving of the same chips, with a little chili beans, some queso, a little diced tomato and jalepenos with sour cream and red salsa on the side. Again, they were okay nothing great, I make better at home. Had a cold Stella in the bottle with my snack. It was good. A popular place with the locals, water access for boaters with road front access for everyone else. Its obvious that you are paying for the view here. The pontoon nachos are just massive in serving. They are served on a tray approximately 20"-24" round. They are filled with all sorts of toppings. The service is hit and miss. I did not care for the catfish and that's usually a favorite of mine. Being able to sit by the lake is great. I'm still trying to find food I enjoy eating and have had no luck. I ordered the club sandwich. The bread was toasted and cold. It was definitely not toasted fresh. It also had 3 slices of bread. One slice had one tiny piece of bacon under it. I just took it off and added it to the sandwich itself and also got rid of the extra slice of bread. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was very disappointed. Well, we gave the place a shot. When we arrived at 3:40 PM we were told to seat ourselves. 17 minutes later I went to the bar/bartender and asked if we could get a server. She yelled at the 8 that were standing around having a big time and one came to ask what we wanted to drink. Well she messed that up. Then she messed up the app (ordered directly from the menu). When the app came out correctly so did our food. It was not anything special. AFTER......we sat for 15 minutes waiting on the bill. Again, no server so my wife went to the bar again for the bill. $100 later (3 of us) we left and the 8 "servers" were standing at the hosted desk with their phones out with no thank you or anything I'll make sure that we won't be back as well as anyone I suggest the area to. read more

Can't find anything here that is actually good. Tonight I ordered the Chicken Breast sandwich and it was literaly inedible. The chicken was so dry and hard it was difficult to chew and totally tasteless. It was the worst chicken breast sandwich I have ever had. Family of 7 stopped here on a Sunday afternoon while traveling on vacation. WOW! The view was incredible and it was the perfect day to sit outside. Since everyone was hungry, I asked what the waitress recommended and she suggested a few things, one being the pontoon nachos. Excellent recommendation! Perfect for all of us to share. Catfish was fresh and absolutely delicious! My daughter got a burger and said it was the best burger she's ever had at a restaurant. Come for the view, but that's it. The deck is very nice with a great view of the water, and the service was prompt. But the food was mediocre at best. The catfish nuggets were muddy tasting and the cole slaw had far too much mayonnaise. I left both behind. The iced water even had an odd taste (like we were at the beach). I liked the fries, though. The way Audie treats his employees is very unusual. cussing in a very unprofessional way. he is very rude and selfish, being mad at his servers because they have to attend to more than 50 people at one time. the waitress was only there for 2 weeks and it was a lot for her to handle at one time with no help, then proceeded to take her outside because she was upset and overwhelmed and continued to fire her. I think until this place learns how to respect their employees. the same way their employees have to respect the managers.
