It's easy to see that her true goal is to help people, whether that is directly with her or other resources. For example, while she does offer her own DBT class, she knows it's not the best fit for everyone & even promotes other DBT classes! Who does that?! Someone who truly wants to help. Maya does this. I started Maya's DBT class in late July & love it! I have been in two other DBT programs & Maya is by far the BEST of the three. The culture she sets up in class is open & promotes participants to share deeply on the material. Her insights are informative, making connections between topics & skills, which give everyone "ah-ha" moments. Maya is direct, encouraging, & shows us how to be powerful within ourselves to make effective decisions as well as changes in our perspectives & behaviors in a meaningful & lasting way. Her approach is unique & highly effective. I love her set up of everything. In addition to class time, she holds extra time after every class for people to further clarify points or get extra support & sets up extra time on other days for the same purpose (for free!). I also started 1:1 coaching with her to get myself in order & specifically to address and reduce my borderline personality disorder traits. Our goal is to get my symptoms so low that I no longer qualify for the diagnosis. Thus far, we have had three of eight sessions and I am already experiencing positive changes. She has given me extra times of support for free throughout the class & now with coaching. She does this with everyone! Maya works had to ensure you get the resources you need & make effective progress towards reaching your goals, whatever they may be! She gives tons of extra bits of resources constantly as things come up in class & during extra support times. Thank you so much, Maya! I look forward to continuing our work together.

This is LONG over due. Wendy is AWESOME…read more My very first class with Wendy was June/July 2013. It was a life-changing experience. I can honestly say that I am a better person today than I was in July of 2013 and it all started with what I have learned from Wendy. She teaches you life tools. Things I think that we should learn earlier in life to help us deal with life. She is not going to do the work for you, but if you actually practice the tools she teaches you, you will change yourself in the best ways possible. Many people put their money into coffee, clothes, cars, and homes.... Until you invest in your self in this way, all that other stuff is a little shallow. It's like building a "foundation". If the foundation of a house is no good, it doesn't matter how nice the house is.... When you strip everything away, the cars, clothes, house, material items away, what are you left with? Yourself. How do you feel about yourself? Maybe you think your perfect but chances are that you realize how imperfect you are. Which is why you feel the need to have all the fancy materialistic things. In learning to do this great work, you really learn about yourself. What kind of person you are and who you want to be. You begin to listen, tune into your soul and begin to make choices based on what your soul wants rather than your ego. Think about investing in yourself, at the souls level, you won't regret it.

I have sent many people to her since we first met several years ago, as she is probably my favorite teacher ever. If you're thinking about it, you should absolutely schedule a session, and find out if you are a fit (spoiler alert: you will be!)

To become a licensed hypnotherapist in the state of Washington requires paying a $150 fee, filling…read moreout a 5 page application, passing a criminal background check and taking a 4 hour online AIDS class. There's no hypnotherapist training required to be licensed, no ongoing training required and no checks that you have any training prior to being licensed. And the sole requirement to keep your license is to keep your clients information confidential. Kristin doesn't list a single college degree, certification or class she completed. Her training according to her website is whatever time she spent as a patient of John Connelly and some online NLP classes. She doesn't even have a permanent office. She's not even trained by John Connelly like she claims on her website, you can go to Rapid Resolution Therapy's website and view all the trained providers, she's not trained by them. I paid Kristin $375 for one session (I paid by check so got the discount as she charges even higher rates if you use a credit card). I asked her if hypnotherapy could make me worse and she said "no." If she truly believes that hypnotherapy always helps everyone I don't think she understands what she's doing. She totally messed me up, like I couldn't talk for days or get out of bed and then when I asked her to reverse whatever she did to me she told me if I didn't like her to find another hypnotherapist and not to contact her again. I filed a complaint with the BBB asking Kristin to tell John Connelly what she did to me so he can reverse it. When I contacted John Connelly about what Kristin did to me they told me they reverse what hypnotherapists do "all the time". Unfortunately Kristin never responded to my BBB complaint. I posted a review on the My Mind Talk Facebook page about my experience, Kristin called the police and told them I was threatening to kill myself (I wasn't). So a cop showed up at my house for the first time in my life because either Kristin was so upset over the review she tried to throw me in a mental hospital as punishment for writing it or she was so concerned about me that she seriously thought I would kill myself from what she did to me, but not concerned enough to reverse what she did to me that created this problem. A few weeks later Kristin figured out how to remove the review plugin from her Facebook page so the review no longer appears. In my entire life I've never had the cops show up at my house or had someone tell me not to contact them again until I met Kristin.
