Nelson was recommended from our…read moretrusted painter that we've worked with for over a decade, so I knew Nelson would be a reliable resource to move forward with.    The first project Nelson did was a full gut renovation on a house built in the early 50's. It was a large project that required a bathroom addition, added wood flooring, wall removal, a beam support system, existing kitchen/bathroom expansion, and overall updating on all esthetics including windows, doors, etc. Not only was the job done to perfection, but it was also completed earlier than expected as Nelson and his crew are experts in what they do and are highly diligent, competent, reliable, and fast.  To top it all off, Nelson came in exactly on budget to his initial estimate.   Since our initial introduction and the first house renovation described, Nelson has been hired by me continually to do EVERY contracting project I always need. Additionally, I have recommended him to friends and family for both large and small projects and the reaction to Nelson and his work is always the same: "he's really fantastic, as is his work".   I will never use anyone else for contracting work both inside and outside of our home except Nelson. Guaranteed.

I knew the day was coming...so I asked for an estimate to replace the shingles and the vent as well as a broken attic fan. The estimate war reasonable and fair...and his manner of answering my hundreds of questions, as well the the recommendations from friends who were the reason he got the call convinced me to go with the replacement. Three days later, we have a new roof. His guys came and did an amazing job, quickly, politely and gave updates as they went...as expected they found some rated wood that had to be replaced...and they did an immaculate job of cleaning up. They more than live up to their reputation. I highly recommend them for their work, their professionalism and their honesty. And they stand by their work. Prices are reasonable.

He is one of the nicest, most genuine people you could ever work with. He really went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the whole process. His Forman Frankie and the entire crew were just as amazing--hardworking, respectful, and unbelievably skilled. Even when we had hiccups (which had nothing to do with their work), Marty and his team worked around our schedule without a single complaint. They delivered everything they promised and so much more. The finished project came out better than we ever dreamed, and I can honestly say we couldn't be happier. It's rare these days to find a company that cares this much about their customers, but Marty and his team truly do. We will 100% use MJD Construction again for future projects. If you're thinking of hiring someone, stop looking--this is the company you want. HIGHLY recommend!

There is no better compliment to a Craftsman than repeat business and referrals. I start here…read morebecause we recently brought MJD back in for our second job. We met Marty by a referral when looking to update the front of our home. Our original pavers were 40+ years old. We loved the unique shape and style but needed a refresh. From start to finish, Marty was punctual, communicated well, delivered beautiful stone work and offered very competitive pricing. We used a combination of bluestone, cobblestone, culturestone and Cambridge cobalt pavers. MJD nailed the half moon shape and retained the look we adored and even added a planters box to highlight tree we have out front. We loved it so much, fast forward one year later we brought back MJD for our back patio. Work included steppingstones, full "figure 8" pool coping and pavers including plumbing (which MJD coordinated), columns to our bar, and a planters box. MJD also took down two trees, graded and seeded to get us ready for next year. The results speak for them themselves. In short, give Marty a call, he does it all! Best, Myles
