I had my hair buzzed a couple weeks prior, so I hardly had any hair to begin with. I was taken aback when I paid almost $50 to trim a few hairs. Heard that the owner also treats his staff very poorly. I'm glad that we were able to track down our old stylists at her new shop. She has never charged us outrageous prices for a quick touchup like this establishment's owner does.

I complained right away & said I wanted it fixed & they told me I could call & get it fixed for free! I was soo appreciative. I booked in for a fix, I've had my hair up since since it makes me feel absolutely insecure! I was than told 2 days after that I would not be getting a free fix, because it's 1 not fair to the stylist ( because I booked in with a different stylist because I was NOT letting Wynn? I think her name was. Touch my hair ever again.) & this was through a text from one of their stylists who the owner asked to message me? Real professional on the owners part. So I than call & ask to speak to him. & all he has to say is nothing he can do & I cannot have a fix & that was that., he said some hurtful things & not to mention he said if I couldn't afford a fix I couldn't afford that salon? & that they could just get new clients Really? Why should I have to pay for a fix? That makes no sense! I was a loyal paying client aswell? It's been almost 2 weeks my hair is still up in a pony tail & they refuse to do anything for me. Let's be honest my hair looks like shit. Isn't the whole point to make clients feel good about themselves? I will never go back again. I have told all my family & friends as well, there was a discussion on my Facebook about it aswell. So many people complained about the way Lawrence had treated them, not very good customer service if so many people are unhappy. It's a small town people talk. Lovely Anita who does the most amazing head massage while she shampoos you that makes your toes curl while sending you into a slight orbital coma onto another galaxy and into another time. Situated in the east side of the Dragon City Mall in the heart of pulsating Chinatown, Shear Synergy Salon is the place I go to get beautified. I usually will whet my haircut time with a dim sun lunch at the Regency Restaurant and then top it off with a delicious bubble tea. Shear Synergy is so conveniently situated too, I simply have to take the number 3 bus a block from my home and I land smack dab in front of the Dragon City Mall. My haircut lasts usually anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes for a mere 30 dollars and I believe Shear Synergy has 3 stylists to choose from, I am a loyal client however to Anita who simply understands Asian hair, when leaving other hair salons in the past I am usually very dissatisfied with my haircut simply because they don't understand the properties of Asian hair and its temperament and I usually end up walking away looking like my uncle. But Anita does it just right, she's hip to popular Japanese hairdos and has a knack for the anime. So if you want a stylish trim or an all out make-over try Shear Synergy Salon.

I'm naturally brunette with loads of grey "sparkle" roots and colour my hair blonde, she always finds a way to make it look great and blends it well. I recently did the hi lift colour on my roots, which lifts colour and tones at the same time, and I am thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Kristyn at Karma. I always enjoy chatting with her and have fun visiting the salon, and as a bonus they have tasty chai lattes and dairy free milk.
