This used to be my local spot to get my drank when I lived within walking distance. I usually come here and get a 20-year old Port from the back. I love a good port as the refinement of a 20-year-old tawny befits the climate and temperament of central TX better than the heftier, bottle-matured wines which are more at home in cooler climates. However, the port lesson aside, last Monday I came in with another party and picked up four bottles; a 20-year old port, Rain vodka, Kulua (for the hair of the dog), and some Captain Private Stock (cause well, the captain makes it happen). The cashier at this location was friendly and helpful. Went on a Thursday at 10am (opening business hours) and they were not open. There wasn't even anyone inside and all the lights were out. There were a few other people waiting along with me. After about 10mins I left. I needed to buy drinks for a dinner party for that evening so drove to a different liquor store. Update your hours or have your staff there durning posted hours. read more

Super cute. Super small. It's a local liquor store. It has a huge selection & the staff is very helpful. In my opinion if your claustrophobic- that's that only way you would have an issue here. Otherwise the price point is on par with other places, the customer service is great, the location is awesome & the overall vibe was just what we were expecting. Pretty decent whiskey and Bourbon collection but they mark everything up and the secondary pricing on allocated products are extremely high. Stores like this are the problem and people who are actually willing to pay those prices are an even bigger part of the problem. The problem being hard to find products. read more

I read other reviews about this liquor store before I went. I work nearby and went the HEB and didn't feel like going all the way to Specs so I decided to give it a shot. They have a really good selection, for everything, whiskey in particular. I saw that another yelper had mentioned a bad experience with "guy with glasses" but he was really nice to me. Granted, he was pretty preoccupied with his phone (just like the other yelper mentioned) but he made good recommendations when I asked him a question, and we chatted during the checkout process. This store has a smallish selection, but its right around the corner, has my favorite wine ever ( Reisling anyone?) and a friendly man who worked the counter. I am always looking for a neighborhood liquor store when I need something a little harder then beer and Deb's seems to fit the bill nicely. I wonder why Ive never been here before? They have 10% off 3 bottles of wine, and suggestions for cheap wine that still tastes good. They even have cocktail onions. Yeah, I thought that was kinda weird too. Ill be back. read more

I really like the one near Lake Creek Pkwy. They are very helpful. They have special samples available just about every time I go in. And it helps that they are close to where I live. There are plenty of selections and the prices are not too bad either. When I needed a certain champagne to ring in the New Year, the one that they suggested was perfect. I've never had a problem with service here and they are always willing to answer questions if you are not sure about something particular you are looking for. A really great place! read more

First time here. Great selection, decent prices but the customer service was awful!! Guy with glasses at register was NOT friendly at all. Never smiled, and was more occupied with his cell phone then waiting on me. After I paid, I said 'Thank You, have a great one' and he paused for a second, said 'yea', and started ringing up the customer behind me, while I was still grabbing my bags of liquor. Just for the rudeness alone, probably won't be back here again! Too many other liquor shops around that would better appreciate my hard working money!! read more

I love this little Liquor store! Debs Liquor clean, organized, always well stocked, competitive pricing and always has tastings every Friday and Saturday. With that said, my favorite part of shopping this neighborhood store is the husband and wife that run it. Truly a tag team... Very nice selection of bourbon but at secondary market prices. If you don't mind paying above retail to well above then have a look. Today I saw Michter's 10 and 2016 For Roses Small Batch Limited Edition both well over $200/bottle. Ridiculous IMO. It's a shame places like this scalp clients for rare bottles. read more

New to Austin and have been trying to find a location that sells my favorite beer, Carlsberg, and haven't been very successful. Walked in for a temp stand-in beer and happened to mention my beer and was told they could special order it for me! It took 3 days and I had a case! Great place and if they don't have what I want, I get it 3 days later! GREAT service!! read more

This place is great! Good prices, and the staff is always able to guide you to the right purchase. With his help, my fiance and I now have our favorite brand of rye whiskey, tequila, and vodka. Recently, I was there at 8:53 to buy vodka for a sudden gathering of friends, the man recommended a red wine that he knew I'd like and he was absolutely correct. They really know their alcohol, and after shopping there regularly, they have really gotten to know us, our tastes and price limits and provide us advice accordingly. I have waited too long to sit down and write this review! We were in town for a conference in March, and spent a good amount of money at this liquor store, as our company sponsored the conference hospitality room. We needed some specific margarita mix for our frozen margarita machine, and they didn't have it in stock at the Research Blvd. location. The owner went to another location and picked up the mix, and actually BROUGHT IT TO US AT OUR HOTEL!!! Now THAT's customer service. What a delight to find that type of above and beyond service these days. And to top it off, it was the owner of the company. We will definitely be back to Deb's Liquor. read more
