Clothes, glass, pictures, toys, furniture, books and occasional larger items like appliances or electronics. Of course like all thrift stores you never know what's going to be inside but this place never seen to have a shortage of things to sell. It's always packed and over flowing. Very unlikely you will find anything valuable or antiquey in this store but you will definitely find some interesting and useful things at very reasonable prices. Easy to walk out of here with bags of stuff for only a very small price. Everyone in this place, whether it's staff or other customers, are always friendly and you'll probably end up carry on several different conversations while you look around. A cool little store that is always interesting and the best part is that when you buy something you know the money will go to comfort the poor, unfortunately creatures of Boothbay Harbor.

This store gets some automatic points for its clever name (remember the TV show Designing Women?)…read more This is a lovely little consignment shop with a fairly large selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories for a store of its size. The owner and staff are nice and friendly, the store itself is clean, cheerful, and well-organized - and there are often a few good deals to be had. I think the prices are fair and I've bought some quality pieces there. From how another shopper gushed about it when I was there last time, it seems that the people who consign their stuff at Consigning Women are loyal fans of this shop. I just wish they had were open every day, and at least until 5pm.

**A Miami, FL, Client who is Proud to Call the Freeport, ME, Allen Edmonds Outlet his "Local"…read moreStore.** Despite living in Miami, FL, Allen Edmonds of Freeport, ME, will always be my "local" store--thanks to my experience with the unparalleled Laney Johnson. I wish all of my interactions were as seamless, professional, and enjoyable, as transacting business with Laney. Perhaps a bit of background will better illustrate my enthusiasm. I have always admired AE's timeless quality, comfort, and aesthetic, and could not pass up on the deals available in AE's recent tent sale. But, this being my first purchase of AE shoes, I had very little, if any, knowledge of my foot's fit relative to a 5 last. A master shoe fitting would have been ideal, but, with the end of not disparaging, while giving praise to another, my circumstances effectively required me to take a leap of faith regarding the last's fit on my foot and principally rely upon objective criteria from a Brannock device. I enthusiastically dialed AE's Freeport Outlet. Laney answered the phone after two rings and processed my entire order within 6 minutes--impressive! I ordered a pair of 8D Walnut Strands and Black Park Avenues, and two AE aromatic cedar shoetrees. The shoes arrived in five business days from Port Washington, and the entire experience was perfect--well, except for my foot not fitting the 5 last in 8D. Feeling a bit defeated, but optimistic, I called Laney. As always, she was professional and sympathetic about my situation. She sent me a return label, took my order for two pairs of 7.5Ds, and, upon the returned shoes' arrival in Freeport, processed my exchange. Presumably the 7.5Ds would fit, right? Fast-forward three weeks later, after three orders placed, three exchanges processed, three pairs that did not fit my oddly shaped foot, and consistently exceptional service from Laney, I finally found a perfect fit--7EE. AE sartorial veterans and neophytes alike need to take further notice of Laney Johnson, and the world-class experience she delivers to her clients daily. Despite crafting some of the best shoes available on the market, what will make me an AE customer for life is my experience with Laney. Thank you, Laney!

Great clothing for women sized 12 and grander!…read more We found this terrific store by following the little signs posted out on Rt 1 and what a pleasant surprise it is. It's located in an old house and the rooms full of clothes just keep on going and going and going. This is one of the largest collections of larger women's clothing I have ever seen in one place. Tons of clothing - tops, bottoms, sweaters, jackets, dresses, bathing suits, tshirts - as well as accessories. Unfortunately, I'm a tailored and starched kind of girl and the clothing here was more linen and unstructured for my taste. I bought a few gifts and enjoyed the stop. The storekeepers are pleasant and chatty and the patrons are a friendly bunch. For those wearing larger sizes, a must stop if you're in the area!
