Came on a Sunday afternoon. Got reservation though plenty of seating. Loved going when nicer weather as they have inside flowing into outside sitting area and creates for lovely ambiance. Food was tasty and definitely best to share so you can try different things. Great service.

The service was amazing with our waitress being very attentive, kind, and extremely knowledgeable of all menu items. The food was tasteful and well presented. I wish sides were not alacarte, but nonetheless I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

The first time I came here they had a 3 course meal with every main, as in the tray of mezze spreads and a bite of ice cream were included. Since then, their prices for the mains have decreased slightly, but everything is separate, and their food isn't that impressive. Honestly, the mains are also the most disappointing part. We still ordered the spreads - they are great and come with complimentary naan refills. I got the eggplant main again, mostly because everything else sounded mediocre or extremely overpriced, and was slightly annoyed to find that we had to order the pilaf separately - this was by FAR the best thing from last time. We didn't order dessert, though they brought a small scoop of ice cream for our friend whose birthday we were celebrating. Overall, everything here is fine but not amazing, and I miss the feeling of getting a great value, 3 course meal from our first visit. There's so much incredible Mediterranean food in Philly that I won't come back here unless other people are pushing for it, but it's fine for cute ambiance on a night out.

First show out to our AMAZING server Linda!!! She was the absolute highlight of the evening from her amazing suggestions and welcoming service, she was so attentive and kind!! Dear Daphni in Philadelphia is a true gem for Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the space captivates with its beautiful design, intimate dim lighting, and light background music, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We started with the Persian Palomas, which were refreshing and delightful. For appetizers, the Greek salad was incredible as always, and the Persian dumplings were very tasty, though not quite a standout. For our main courses, the lamb chops were perfectly juicy and tender, with a sauce that complemented them beautifully. The grilled chicken had a perfect char while staying juicy and flavorful. We paired these with the rice pilaf and broccoli, which were the ideal accompaniments. The service was exceptional, our waitress even treated us to some complimentary pita bread, a lovely touch of true hospitality. I would absolutely recommend Dear Daphni and can't wait to return!

This was my first time at Dear Daphne and the space was wonderful! It's huge inside, super well decorated, and they have a nice outdoor dining space on the sidewalk with an open window concept. Reservations were easy to make and they have happy hour every day (but you can't make a reservation for it). We got the mezze plate, which I think is the main thing almost every table orders. It was the best thing we ate that night! We also got the Turkish dumplings, lamb shake and short rib dishes. Overall, everything was really good, and I'd definitely come back. They have a larger mocktail menu, too which was nice.

Went for happy hour and snagged bar seats. The Turkish dumplings were cold and tasted like Chef Boyardee. However, the Turkish coffee espresso martini (not on HH menu) made up for it. My husband had a Marrakesh Mule off the HH menu and that was a refreshing drink. The bartenders were attentive. I have tried the dips previously at Harp & Crown when they were previewing Dear Daphne and they were excellent. I would come back and give it a chance for dinner.

My boyfriend and I weren't even planning to eat here we were wandering around the city, saw the outdoor seating, and couldn't resist. To our luck, it was prime happy hour, so we had no choice but to check it out. Once I realized it was Dear Daphni, I was extra excited since it had been on my list for a while + the restaurant was nearly empty during our visit. We ordered a spread of dishes to share. The Moroccan meatballs were flavorful, though the sweetness caught me off guard. The chicken kebab had great flavor too, but the portion was small and the yogurt taste was a little overpowering. The shawarma was hands down the star of the night, so delicious I almost ordered it twice, and honestly I'm craving it again as I write this. Our server told us the areyes were the most popular, they were good but not something I'd choose over the other dishes. The Turkish dumplings were a totally new experience for me: I loved the flavor but struggled with the texture, and I think I'd like it more in a crispier form. I didn't get to try any cocktails since I didn't have my ID on me, but my boyfriend really enjoyed the beer. Overall, it was such a fun and spontaneous stop, with a mix of hits and a few misses, but the shawarma alone will definitely bring me back.

Came for Restaurant week. The calamari was so good. The platter of dips and endless pita was very easy to fill up on but glad I saved room for the lamb shank and had room for the strawberry soft serve. Warm atmosphere, seating, lights. Cocktails tasty too

This place use to be a really good value. They offered mezze and a dessert when an entree was ordered. As of recently, they have stopped this option (thus my rating reflects this recent change). When I went, they had just changed this over and it wasn't updated on the website. Instead of giving me the mezze, they ended up just comping me a dessert. The mezze had 7 dips. I do admit, some of their dips are pretty amazing and it is nice that you can ask for more dip or pita. The pita is so warm and fresh when it is delivered to the table. The first time I went, I got the Tunisian lamb shank. I usually hate lamb but this lamb was very tasty. I really liked the harissa on this dish. The service here is quick and the servers are very friendly. They are also easy to talk to about what might be good on the menu to try. I also like how there was a small scoop of soft serve ice cream (they make this in house) at the end [this addition with purchase of entree was discontinued per last visit]. Overall, the food quality and tastes are pretty good. I would say this restaurant does have steep competition from Zahav and Laser Wolf. Both of which I think are better than Dear Daphni.

I think the cute decor and happy hour every day with both food and drink specials make this restaurant worth it. It's definitely a tiktok trendy spot especially for birthdays and gnos. On the pricier side ($25&up and you need to order apps and sides to share) but still relatively a good deal I think. We got the mezze platter for $23 and the lamb kebab dinner for $23. The happy hour chicken kebab was $8 and 1/3 the size if you look at the photo. Also got the Areyes happy hour plate which is kofta stuffed pita. The food was fine (I think if the pita came out warm it'd be better it was cold). I liked the hummus dip the best with nuts on top, wish there was more greek yogurt based dips. Service was good they took time to explain all the dips to us and any allergies. Prime Rittenhouse location. In terms of Philly mediterranean food In my opinion this place falls below Suraya & Almyra but above spice finch. Not sure if I'd come back or not

Swung by Dear Daphni for an early Sunday Happy Hour and it did not disappoint! The Bees Knees cocktails were yummy (and strong!) and only $7. The appetizers were all pretty good but the meatball dish was so good that we ordered another one! The chicken kebab was very flavorful and tender. The salmon crudo was really refreshing and the chips they are served with were excellent. The dumplings were nice too. I would definitely come back with a larger group to try more. Service was just OK but the decor made up for it! :-)

Came in for happy hour and it's some of the best in town. The chicken kebab and dips are so good. We also tried the potatoes and halumi all good flavors. I will definitely return for dinner Finally some decent Mediterranean food in the area

Great experience! I came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and we were not disappointed. The mezze tray is a bit pricey, but they offer unlimited bread refills, which was nice. Honestly, a lot of the dishes are on the pricier side, but they were delicious. Some were a little oily, and my stomach felt it later, but the flavors were great. We couldn't stop eating the mezze--that was our downfall because we got super full from it. I split the kebab sampler and it was delicious, definitely recommend it. Just keep in mind the meat can be a bit oily. My mom is vegetarian and didn't have a ton of options for main dishes, but she really enjoyed her eggplant dish, the filo saganaki, and the mezze and that was great. Our waitress was super kind and did a great job. The hostess seemed a bit distracted, and it would've been nice to be acknowledged when we arrived, but it wasn't a huge deal. Shout out to the manager as well, who checked in on us. Finally, I definitely recommend the chocolate banana tahini ice cream- it's superb! Overall, I would definitely come back, the ambiance is great and so is the decor, giving great vibes.

Merion Park Labneh: this labneh is thicker than other restaurants which I really like actually. the photo I insert may be deceiving, as it looks chunky. rest assured, it's absolutely smooth, just a thicker consistency than most labnehs. the spices on it are so so good. I think this is a must get along with a hummus. me and my sister are vegetarian, we share a hummus and a labneh and are decently full after those. we also snack on some small plates for the table (fries and olives) and leave full. Israeli Pickles and Olives: comes with two ramekins filled with varying sized pickles, not pitted olives, and some tiny yellow peppers I *think* are either pepper-chinos or at the very least taste similar. they also come with a small ramekin for the olive pits. The yellow peppers are very spicy, but I loved them. the olives are green, and i'd consider them friendly olives for those who are particular around olives. pickles were great as expected. French Fries: easy order for the table. portion is large and I think $8 is a steal for the quantity and quality. comes with a yummy ketchup my sister loves (she is considered a ketchup hater). COCONUT MALABI: I did not know what to expect. and honestly, first bite I was a bit confused by the texture, but by the end, I really liked it. its a thick pudding consistency, smooth, has a decent bounce to it, not too sweet at all, subtle coconut flavor. has a strawberry (I think) jam situation on top with some sort of crunchy thing. will be getting that again for sure. we had three people split this and it was enough. would consider getting two for four people though. service was quick, efficient, and kind. love the atmosphere. it has a sort of lively fun vibe to it. also we were in and out pretty quick without being rushed at all which is nice. just efficient. Considering the salads are already premade and that this platter is served to everyone by default, I would have expected it to come out to our table almost immediately after seating. This way, we could have had more time to sample each one and decide if we want refills. The portion is quite large and filing so we barely got seconds of anything. - cauliflower shawarma (6/10): roasted cauliflower on a bed of tahini with pine nuts. The cauliflower was cooked very well. Roasting it gave it a soft and slightly creamy texture that falls apart in your mouth. When we first ate it, there was no spice at all. It seemed like all the flavor was in the sauce at the base. Pouring the sauce on the top or mixing it in more thoroughly would have made for a richer experience. - mushroom shishlik (6/10): portobello mushrooms and asparagus on a herby tahini sauce. This one had more flavor than the cauliflower but I was not a huge fan of how the mushrooms were cooked. The pieces felt large and not pleasant to bite into. They also had a meaty and chewy texture. - eggplant (8/10): grilled eggplants with dollops of tomato sauce. This was by far the best of the vegetarian entrees. The eggplant is very soft and creamy with the right amount of spice from the topping. The red sauce which I assumed to be tomato based added freshness and acidity. With a scoop of hummus from the salatim on top of a piece of pita, it was an enjoyable bite. - tahini soft serve (7/10): tahini soft serve with chocolate magic shell. The dessert is included in the menu and this is the vegan option. After the salatim and the entrees, we were quite stuffed and barely had an appetite for dessert. The tahini ice cream has a strong bitter flavor with the mildest touch of sweetness. While I liked the concept of the chocolate shell, I would have wanted it to be thinner so that it could crack easier. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I think some of the dishes are worth trying but going at a less busy time would be more enjoyable.

The restaurant immediately stands out with its beautiful design and modern atmosphere. It's one of those places that's incredibly Instagram-worthy, and throughout the evening we noticed plenty of people taking photos both inside and outside the restaurant. Everything was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, making it a great setting for a special occasion. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a modern and upscale feel. Every detail seems carefully thought out, from the lighting to the overall design of the space. It's easy to see why so many people stop to take pictures here. The restaurant was spotless and created a great atmosphere for celebrating with friends and family. Service - Service was excellent throughout the evening. Our waitress was personable, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The staff did a great job making sure our group was taken care of, and everything flowed smoothly despite the size of our party. The short rib was rich, tender, and paired really well with the light acidity from the pickled onions and the soft bao buns. -Chicken - Served with basmati rice and packed with great flavor. Final Thoughts - This was an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was excellent, and every dish we ordered was delicious. It's not often that an entire table agrees on so many menu items, but Almyra delivered across the board. We would absolutely return again, and I would highly recommend it for special occasions, celebrations, or anyone looking for a memorable meal.

I had the opportunity to visit Greece for the first time a few years ago, and while I always liked…read moreGreek/Mediterranean food, the trip 'heightened my senses', and I now seek out the food I enjoyed so much during my visit. Almyra - I happened to walk by it a few weeks ago, I didn't know it was there. I thought, 'looks very nice, I'll have to try it'. The restaurant, which features 'modern Greek' is part of the Estia Group, which includes 7 restaurants - 3 of which are in Philly (Estia and Pietro's are the other two). I went for dinner this evening on a Wednesday, and there was a good crowd - the restaurant is quite large, and it's decorated beautifully. I started with three of the Spreads - Smoked Eggplant, Beet, and Hummus. It was wonderful trying these 3 - I spread them on the pita and crispy rice crackers - and tried them separately - spoonful by spoonful, to really taste the differences. The Edamame Hummus has a unique flavor and texture with tahini and garlic. The Beet features roasted beets blended with labneh and garlic and topped with pistachio and feta. The Smoked Eggplant with peppers and balsamic rounds out the 3 with a deep, smoky flavor and a soft, smooth texture. I always look for 'classic' Spanakopita these days, but rarely find it. The dish at Almyra was labeled 'Spanakopita Manti' - I asked my server, what that was. She said it was a favorite of hers, a fried 'flower shaped' pastry filled with blended spinach and feta, served with tzatziki and leeks. I ordered them and they were heavenly - lightly battered, crispy fried 'flowers', with a creamy spinach center, that tasted exactly like spanakopita should. I dipped every bite in the creamy tzatziki and thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer! While pork is the most popular meat in Greece, lamb is a dish served on special occasions and holidays. I 'discovered' lamb in Greece, as I hadn't ordered it that often when I would go out to eat....specifically the lamb chop. Almyra has a great lamb chop! It's seared on the grill - and I do mean seared - the deep char definitely adds to the flavor. The 3 large chops are Australian lamb, herb marinated for days highlighting the flavor of the meat. They are seasoned with sea salt, cracked pepper and olive oil for a tender finish. I like my meat pink inside - not red or rare. Cooking lamb chops medium to medium well is no small feat, yet the meat was cooked exactly the way I liked. They were tender and very juicy. These chops may have been some of the thickest I've had - and I made the 'mistake' of trying to eat them with a fork and knife. Wrong! If you order chops, you 'MUST PICK THEM UP' and eat them! What a difference!! The meat just came right off the bone and it enhanced both the texture and flavor! I'm not sure why eating them off the bone was so different, but I can't emphasize it enough - and, it's a lot more fun! Part of the treat when you order ribs are the 'layered potato fries' you get with them! These aren't your ordinary fries, in fact, they're really not fries - they are little potato masterpieces! The fries are prepared by thinly slicing potatoes and layering them to create a multi layered texture that rocks! They are truly a savory, rich side dish to the lamb chops! After such an epic dinner, I had to order dessert, and the Olive Oil cake immediately caught my eye. It was a two layered cake with a creamy custard like center and a citrus orange topping. It was light and moist, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla gelato resting on a bed of ground pistachio nuts! It was delicious and a wonderful ending to a great meal!
