The VSC light kept coming on despite our bringing it to another mechanic shop. When we moved here Dean's Auto and Radiator was highly recommended by our daughter. After reading the reviews we made an appointment with His shop. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. They discovered that chewed through wires that were under our hood as well. He gave us an estimate for the repairs which was reasonable. It has been almost 2 years and we haven't had any problems with the light coming on in the dashboard anymore. Dean and his coworker are awesome! read more

Extremely nice man is Dean. He explained what was happening with my A/C and did a great job. He put in more Freon and explained my car had a very tiny hole that was evaporating the Freon but nothing major. Dean even took off my tire wheel covers that another auto shop had installed incorrectly! He re-installed the wheel covers for Free and I didn't ask him! Such GREAT SERVICE! read more

Deans is the only place I go when my car starts acting up (and for regular maintenance too!). He's honest, reliable and always looks out for the customer. I've always felt taken care of and never felt like I have over paid. He's upfront about cost ahead of time and communicates the entire service through phone calls to make sure you know what's going on with your car. I will never go to any other mechanic! read more

Dean was awesome. He got started on my car right away to figure out what we needed to fix. He explained everything to me in simple terms- gave me a warning that what may need to be done could be a bit pricey. He was so kind and professional. He fixed my tires that were put on wrong . Washed my windows before I left. He even tried to clear up a foggy headlight!!! I felt super comfortable working with him and appreciate the way he fully serves the community. Thank you Dean! read more

Dean has been one of two repair shops that I have taken my vehicles to for 20 years. He is always consistent.

Dean's was recommended to me by my long time mechanic when he retired. I have been going to Dean's for about 3 years. The shop is very clean and organized. Dean is super cool and knowledgeable. He explains everything and gives me options. I feel like he is honest and his prices are reasonable. read more

Scheduled an appointment because my first mechanic was backed up and didn't know when he could get to me for a coolant leak with no overheating so he referred me to Deans. Car had loose hoses from a radiator job due to an accident that the car was in. Dean was honest and cheapest diagnosis and labor for the work done. read more

My battery had died and I hold the get the cover off to replace it. I called Dean and he was more than happy to help. He previously replaced catalytic converter and took great care to find me the best deal since mine was stolen. I highly recommend Dean and his staff. They are amazing!! They were able to squeeze in my car for an oil change the same day and checked out my car to make sure everything was OK. Another shop told me I needed almost $3,200 worth of immediate work that needed to be done, but that was not the case. He checked things over, told me some minor maintenance things that could be done and what to keep an eye out for the bigger concerns. They were kind and extremely helpful! I have found my new mechanic for my car. read more

Took my 2003 Camry to Dean's for a brake and lamp inspection. The car needed some minor brake work which I found to be reasonably price. He also topped off my fluids and lubed a squeaky steering wheel. He communicated well and got the job done timely. I think I've found my new mechanic. read more

Dean is just simply fantastic. I took a recently purchased 2013 Subaru with a salvage title and brought the vehicle to him for a break and lamp inspection. I found him because of Yelp! Although my car did not initially pass due to rear breaks, he gave me options to do the break work elsewhere and bring it back for re inspection. His price was very reasonable, so he did the break job that day and I had my certificate! He was so personable and honest I decided to bring the car back for a service and an inspection on the air bag light that kept coming on. I purchased this vehicle for my daughter and I know that Dean understood I wanted to make sure it was safe and ready for her to drive. I made an appointment for a few days later and brought it for a full service and diagnosis. Not only did he perform the service, during his diagnosis he adjusted the new door we had installed by a family friend that was loose. He went the extra mile for me and I will always be appreciative for that. I wish he worked on BMWs because if he did, he would be MY mechanic for sure. I will bring all of my other vehicles to him in the future. If you want excellent work, service, and a very honest place.. THIS IS IT!!! read more

I was referred to Deans by a friend when I needed new brakes. I am on a tight budget and my friend told me that Dean would do a professional job at the lowest price. While there, Dean discovered that I had a ball bearing that was about to freeze up on one of my tires. I had heard/felt this horrific vibration sound/feeling coming from the tires but couldn't identify the cause. Thank god he found it!! That could have been a real emergency if my wheel froze up while driving on the 80. I highly recommend Deans. He was clear, professional, and helpful. The price was fair as well. read more

Highly recommended. Dean's Auto is the best Auto Shop in Fairfield in our opinion. We have many cars within our family and businesses. Dean is a wonderful mechanic as we have NEVER had to bring back any of our cars after he has repaired them to a safe operation status once again. He is easy to talk to and work with and he will give you his fair opinion if you ask him. He has never let any of us down. We refer all of our friends to him. 5 STARS! Well worth the repair as it will be done right the first time! Thank you Dean! read more

Love this place. Dean is great. Always good service at a reasonable price. Super knowledgeable and helpful.

Dean is great. They do great work here and are very fair. I never feel like I'm getting ripped off in price or the quality of their work. He might be a little more pricey than others, but with him you know you're getting your moneys worth. And if it cost more now to get it done right and not have to worry about it again, then it's well worth it. I highly recommend going to see a Dean for any mechanical issues with your car. read more

As a mechanic myself, this place really goes out for you to make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck and the service is SUPERIOR! Needed a brake and light adjustment and he did just that and even adjusted my parking brake which was loose. Adjusted my headlight as well. Failed initially for the headlight brackets being broken and left license plate out but after I fixed it, everything went well! He really helped me in fitting me into his schedule also. He has very good time management and his crew is also very friendly! There's only two apparently in Fairfield and none in Vacaville. I'm glad I went to a reputable shop. Keep up the good work guys! read more

Deans Auto & Radiators - Auto Repair Near Me - Fairfield, California

I came here to have my radiator replaced after reading reviews of dozens of local auto shops. I had a really good feeling based off of the Yelp and Google reviews of this shop. In turn, I received the best service I could ask for. Dean and his shop partner (I can't remember his name) were very polite, honest and straightforward. Quite possibly the cleanest garage I have been to. I feel like I struck gold with finding these guys as we were not taken advantage of or pressured to take care of other items "requiring immediate attention." I was quoted a significantly higher estimate with a local Vacaville dealership, in addition to a few other garages. However, Deans was far and away the best price I could find. Sometimes cheap does not always mean quality, but these guys explained what they were using and truly gave a fair quote. They also used genuine parts to replace. I only wish I had my timing belt and water pump replaced by Dean. Additionally, when we returned to pick up our car, they showed us our radiator and explained why it was in fact good that we had it replaced since it was truly hanging on by a thread. They explained it to us with words that we understood without having too much knowledge of engines. They were prompt, provided excellent customer service, and truly honest. It's the fist time I left an auto shop without feeling ripped off in my life. Moving forward, I will be going to these guys for anything car related. Thank you for your terrific and honest service! read more

GREAT service would recommend this shop to anyone. I was In need of a break and lamp inspection requested by Dmv for a salvage title and at first took my car into Ryan's Automotive BIG mistake !!! At first my car wouldn't pass the lamp inspection due to a dim headlight and they told me to come back once I fixed it !! so I did and they failed me a second time for a totally different reason so I fixed what he said was wrong came back a third time he tried telling me something else popped up (mind you each time it fails they charge you a fee for re-inspection) I started to get the feeling that because I was a " young Lady " they were going to sucker me out of my money!! A good friend told me about Deans shop so I figured I give it a go. I took the list of reasons why my car was failing to Dean he looked at it and laughed and said all his customers complain about Ryan's being dishonest and money hungry !! Dean was very busy that day but still made time to squeeze my car in before he closed down shop for the day !! My car passed on his machine with flying colors took about 10-15 minutes tops and I walked out with my lamp certificate , he said there was no reason for Ryan to fail my car & that there was nothing wrong . I appreciated Dean for being so kind & honest he has definitely gained a happy customer !! read more

As a woman looking for an honest mechanic who won't take advantage of servicing her car, a male friend recommended Dean Auto in Fairfield. Dean is a very honest mechanic. I've been going to Dean's Auto for about 10 years to service my 2005 Toyota Camry. I use get my Toyota service at the Toyota dealership in Fairfield but realized they were dishonest on what was needed for my car and charging me too much. Even though I moved to Sacramento, I still have Dean service by car until I can find an honest mechanic here. read more
