I accompanied a 77-year-old family friend to this office for implant-supported dentures, and unfortunately the experience was very concerning. After several months and multiple adjustment visits, she is still unable to wear her dentures due to pain. We sought a second opinion and were told that one of the implants is still covered by gum tissue, which prevents the denture from seating properly and causes significant discomfort. As a result, she cannot use either her lower or upper dentures (the upper also needs relining), and she is now having difficulty eating and has started losing weight. During our most recent visit (March 25, 2026), I was there to help translate. The dentist refused to communicate with me and also refused to allow her daughter to assist by phone. After waiting about 90 minutes, the interaction became very upsetting. The dentist raised his voice, told me to leave, and continued yelling while following me out of the room. Never been so infuriated in my life, they just take your hard earned cash and run, their attitudes completely changed after I paid, I pray that more people will read these reviews and not repeat our mistakes, what an unethical practice. I was in a scooter accident where I broke my front tooth and severely chipped two others, the doctor convinced me to get four new veneers, costing almost $7k with insurance. The root canal was one of the most painful moments of my life and let me tell you, the doctor did not slow down at all even while I was crying in agony. When they were deciding on the shade of my veneers, I specifically asked that they be whiter than my current teeth since I will whiten my teeth at home and veneers get stained throughout the years. When they were ready, I could see that they were far too yellow just sitting in the table. They put them on me and I could see the color was off a mile away but Dr. Aria, despite acknowledging that they were the wrong color (he asked if I bleached my teeth after the last session) insisted they were perfect and at one point when I held the mirror up to my teeth, he straightened my arm and said no one's going to look at you that close! He got upset that "I wasn't following his instructions" of holding the mirror at arms length even though they are my own god damn teeth. He then abruptly left and the other doctor explained to me that they look more natural this way and before I know it, they were on permanently. Months passed and I so wanted to love them but I could see the color difference in every picture and everytime I look in the mirror, $7k for this?!?! I finally went back into the office and again, he agreed they were not the right color but said since I approved them in the first place, it'll be another thousand dollars to get new crowns and again, he left. The receptionist is then left to deal with me and I ask her repeatedly to talk to him about the situation, she was able to get it down to $500 but he refused to see or talk to me, complete disregard for patients, how does he expect to have repeat patients/customers this way?! Please do yourselves a favor and find any other practice than this sad place. I was supposed to be a new patient at this office. Called on the day of the appointment to let them know I'll be 10 minutes late and make sure that's okay. They told me they cancelled my appointment because I didn't call back to confirm my appointment time. I'm a doctor and would absolutely never cancel my patients appointment because I don't get a call back. People are busy, and don't always have time to call, FYI. Zero customer service. Dr. Dean Aryai ruined my trust and my teeth. He pulled three, including two healthy wisdom teeth, and drilled another for no reason with a weak filling that broke. Trying to fix it, he wrecked the rest of the tooth and all the surrounding gums my new dentist said it didn't need work and could've lasted years. When I was in awful pain, his office ignored me; even in person, he wouldn't look, heartless and money hungry. He did it all for his own profit, leaving me in tons of pain and misery. About a month ago, I visited this dentist, and he told me that I needed to have two teeth removed. I informed him about my entire health history, but he went ahead with the surgery in his office regardless. I ended up in a lot of pain, along with severe bleeding that continued for up to three weeks. I had to be hospitalized in the emergency room. This dentist refused to take any responsibility and advised me to endure the pain and bleeding until it gets better or go to the ER. After consulting another dentist, I was informed that my entire jaw and the area of the surgery had developed a severe infection. They had to perform another surgery immediately !Unfortunately, my jaw didn't get better properly due to the negligence of this dentist. I believe they have caused significant damage to my jaw. This is by far the worst dentist my husband has ever been to. He was very unprofessional and rude. Not to mention a true scam artist. My husband went to him for a tooth pull. He was very cold and not friendly. He gave him the nova can shot and in less then a minute, he proceeds to start jabbing him with something super sharp, and hurt him, which made him jump... He then gets mad at him and tells him to relax. My husband told him, don't tell me to relax, you hurt me really bad And didn't tell me what you were doing and wait long enough for the nova-can to kick in. Dr. Ariaee is the most professional and competent dentist I have ever met. He made me feel so comfortable from start to finish . I had to get some major dental work done and had been putting it off for years because I was scared of the pain and financial aspect of things. After the first consultation his office staff helped me navigate my finances and researching an insurance plan that would work for me and my situation. They were easy to stay in communication with and worked with me and my work /school schedule. Dr. Ariaee quoted me less work then the last dentist I saw who I had felt was up selling me and just suggesting unnecessary work . Which made me feel like Dr . Ariaee has one concern that is what's most important for my health only. The procedure was 100x less painful then I imagined before hand . His bedside manner and his assistants kept me so comfortable when I got my dental implant and wisdom teeth extracted. First I went for a check up in a different Dentist office last 2 weeks ago and they didn't saw anything they said everything was fine even if i was feeling pain. But when i had Dr. Dean look at it and had an Xray he "IMMEDIATELY" found it! So I went in today and this is what got me to post here for a review... I do not normally post reviews only once in a while.... and I will tell you Dr. Dean has the LIGHTEST HANDS EVER!!! I did not feel a thing!! for a root canal and deep cleaning my expectations from my experience before on a root canal with a different Doctor was really painful! I caution all patient who are thinking about filing lawsuits against this dentist not to use "CDA". There is a difference between DCA and CDA. During the court hearing the dentist lied to the judge and told him there is letter of recommendations from the dental board which is false. CDA is private company and they collect membership from dentists about 27000 of them and their job is to protect the dentist and not the patients. If you decide to report his bad work, file with DCA and that is the dental board of California. Please do not go to CDA it is very bad company to use and they will not protect you. read more

Amazing caring dentist and staff! I have had horrible dental experiences in my life and was so happy to find someone I trust. It is so Important to me that not only their office is clean but the Dr's instruments are all new clean and sterile! My son has been coming to him for 5 years now and I have been going to him now 2 years and had major work to be done. His office has been so patient with me to work with my budget since I had several things to be done, crowns, an implant and root canals. He was my 2nd opinion and would never add more work to make money, that is unethical and he has enough unhealthy mouths to work on he doesn't need to make stuff up. Also the needle that he numbs you with is so tiny that you don't hear that horrible tear noise!! He special orders them from Italy! It's all about the little things in Dr Ariaee office. This dentist lures you in with their supplemental insurance company to aid with costs traditional insurance companies don't cover. DON'T FALL FOR IT!! They LIED to us that our insurance company would not cover services and that we could easily apply for their supplemental insurance company, National General. They approach you while your already being worked on that additional unnecessary services are needed. Feeling pressured, I agreed and was left with an extraordinary amount of pain because the insurance company would not yet cover the next needed procedure. After refusing to allow them to work on me any longer, I went to another dentist that offered coverage under National General insurance as well. I was informed that they would not cover any of the costs and that my primary insurance would have covered it from the get go. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. They will take advantage of you, milk the insurance company for extra unnecessary procedures and leave you in pain. I regret ever going here. read more

I have had a lot of dental issues and have been to many dentists over the years. Dr. Ariaee pulls the old bait and switch. They quote one price and then attempt to charge a higher price. I left there with a horrible infection after a 2 hour (second part of the root canal) root canal. I had to see another dentist who took x-rays and I need to have it redone. I gave them money on my HSA and they don't show it in their system so basically took $350 which was supposed to be credited to my account....It just disappeared. They quoted $100 to pull my son's baby tooth and when they were finished, tried to charge me $600. My gut said to run and I tried to give this place a chance since they seem to have the state of the art equipment and a nice office but it is a total BS Rip Off. read more

Potential clients beware! I had gone to Dr. Ariaee for a molar that broke in half and requires a crown. He had "prepped" for the crown and in doing so he made a gaping bloody gash in the back of my mouth that swelled and bled for over a week. As such, I chose not to return. Although I did not return he charged me for a complete procedure. This is billing fraud. Despite his careless "sausage fingers" causing me insurmountable pain and discomfort receiving an excessive bill was icing on the cake. I encourage any of those looking for a dentist to look elsewhere. He is motivated only by money not patient care and satisfaction. I have reported him to the ADA, and California Dental Board due to billing fraud and negligence. Horrific experience with this dentist. I had to go to another dentist to correct the bridge that was way over size in my mouth.

Did Full mouth x rays on 12-17-2020. On 12-22-2020 they did my fillings and it ended up hurting me weeks later because the hygenist wasn't skilled enough and ended up putting too much fillings in my teeth so they didn't align right when biting! I tried to make an emergency appointment when I complained about the pain but I wasn't able to be seen till after New Year's, but even then, when I told the doctor about my pain and my concerns, he didn't even look at my teeth! He just explained to me that my fillings might be deeper than what I was used to and that's where the pain was coming from! As a reesult, I was very stressed and traumatized during this whole ordeal! I am glad though, that Tiffany from the front was very nice and cooperative and gave me my x-rays and the diagnostic report of what was done to me and what was yet to be done, so I took those things to my childhood dentist (they didn't take Denti-cal, that is why I didn't go there, but this time I went for a 2nd opinion because it was worth it!). She looked at me but didn't look at the teeth that were painful (the left side where they did the fillings). I still wasn't satisfied so I went back to Dr. Ariaee and this time he didn't even see me at all and just had his hygenist see me and talk to me. They didn't do ANYTHING again and just say that the pain will go away eventually (it's now been a month and I was STILL in bad pain! Just thank goodness it wasn't unbearable anymore, and I had my other side to eat with, otherwise it would have been very bad and I would have been sick with malnutrition from not eating what I wanted at all!) They said if after six months I am still in pain, THEN I should worry! They also recommended a nightguard which denti-cal didn't cover but would cost me $495 dollars, which obviously I said no to. I call the Denti-cal hotline when I get home to ask them why, and the lady, when telling her my situation in passing, got really angry and suggested that I got to a different dentist for a 3rd opinion, one that took my insurance (in fact, she even guided me on how to look for a new dentist on the Denti Cal website)! Then I remembered that my mom's dentist takes Denti-cal and I went there and lo and be hold they fix what was the problem and now I can eat on BOTH sides of my mouth no problem! My God. I felt like everytime I made an appointment about my pain, they thought I was crazy or that it was nothing or that I was too sensitive! So much for a caring, trustworthy and respectful dental practice! Edit: I bought this self help book recently by Jack Canfield called "Getting From Where You Are To Where You Want To Be" and in that book, he advises people that want they want is on the otherside of fear and that we should just go for it!... But maybe that depends on what it is! I now regret following that advice! I think a certain amount of fear is healthy! It keeps you from doing things that may hurt you! What if what you want is on an island but that island is surrounded by an ocean full of hungry, blood thirsty sharks?!! You should build a boat or a ship to help you cross, THEN you'd be less scared but don't cross BEFORE doing all that! Don't cross BEFORE you've done you due research of the risks with something! Especially if you're scared! Think of WHY you are scared and go from there! read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Please, PLEASE read this in its entirety and save yourself unnecessary medical and financial troubles. I feel for the ladies at the front desk because it seems they are inundated with complaints and take the blunt for this gentleman's tasteless business tactics (that are completely unethical as well). Went here because every other dentist had a long wait list, but you can get right in here, don't worry! I should have known there was a reason he has no waitlist. First appointment they took over an hour to call me back (not exaggerating), but that is small in comparison of what's to come. I wish I would have left like I wanted to, but they urged me to stay when I started walking out! He took x-rays and this quack says I have FIVE CAVITIES! I was shocked as I've regularly gone to the dentist since I was 5 and have never had more than 1 cavity in a single visit. But I figured he was the professional, so I made a follow-up appointment to get them filled. Office quote said I would be responsible for $258 if I had all 5 cavities filled after insurance. I had a bad feeling, so I only authorized 2 fillings, but instead, they proceed to apparently fill 3. I specially said only fill two because I wanted to take my x-rays to another dentist to verify I truly had 5 cavities (which by the way I did, and my original dentist confirmed I had ONE FILLING)!! THEY DRILLED INTO MY MOUTH MULTIPLE TIMES FOR NOTHING!! The fillings they performed are still sensitive months later which I am now having to fix. On my way out after having the fillings done, my mouth is numb and I want to get out of there, but they demand I pay the entire $258 + $7 servicing charge for using debit card upfront. Normal practice is dentists bill the insurance company and THEN bill the patient. I paid as I was in a hurry but didn't realize this was way too much considering I had half the work done from the original quote provided. When I called and pointed the overpayment out weeks later, I was greeted with excuses that didn't make any sense. Nobody could explain to me the reason behind overpayment when it was clear they overcharged. Instead of a refund or apology, I was told that I'd get a call from the doctor to discuss. There's nothing to discuss, just issue the refund. However, the dentist calls and immediately gets defensive before I could even speak! He seemed irritated I would call and challenge this. He starts saying things like, "I'm an honest businessman" and talking over me. I never said he was dishonest at that point (his reaction is why I know he's done this before and probably gets these calls all the time). I simply asked him to explain the charges and when he couldn't, he started raising his voice which was crazy to me! The entire thing was weird, never had any conflicts like this with a medical professional. The next day, I get a call back from the front desk saying not only would I not be getting a refund, he was charging me an additional $150 for the type of fillings he did! I think I laughed, blatant attempt of retaliation for me pointing out his mistake. He had already billed my insurance, they verified it was not possible to even do that. After multiple phone calls between the insurance company, emails, me going to the office, and wasted time, they finally issue the refund. It's pathetic at the amount of effort it took me for a measly $100, I guess this guy he really needed that extra $100! I don't even like wasting time writing this, but people need to be warned. Dean, seems you're hurting financially and need to overcharge patients and/or come up with fictitious diagnoses to compensate for your lack of business. I know it may be disappointing since you've probably invested a lot of time and money in schooling, but this profession is for people with integrity. Do everyone a favor and get out of this field. Dr. Dean F. Ariaee clinic is one of those clinics that only use their intelligence into scamming its patients. it seems to me that the manager's only duty is to steal money from its patients. Most patients who have dental medical do not know that many services are free, that is, they are covered by dental medical, but they do not provide this information to patients, instead they use coercion to enforce its patients into spending unnecessary money. If Dr. Dean knows about this bad work of his manager and remains silent, he is also involved in this crime, and if he does not knows, he is not a good doctor. They charged both of my daughters for CT scans, even though a panoramic does the same and panoramic's services are covered by Dental medical. They charged me for extractions and flipper, all of which are covered by dental medical. They made me wait more than two months to interrogate, and waited on the phone for hours. Finally, I had to go to their clinic and solve this issue in person. The manager refused to talk to me, and the front desk lady pretended that "her duty was only to answer the phones calls, she doesn't know more than that". They then proceeded to refuse me the right to talk to Dr. Dean, saying that he wasn't in the clinic. read more

Dr Ariaee is an incredible dentist. I have always had problems with me teeth and I almost always need some sort of filling or something major done when I go. I feel I can sometimes be taken advantage of because I'm so used to things being wrong I just get it fixed every time (even when not necessary). I have not lived in Arizona for 5 years and I, until Dr. Airaee, has been going back home for dentist appointments just so I can paint a picture for you. Dr. Ariaee is so good at explaining his recommendations on what I need and what I don't need right away. He explains possible outcomes and what is detrimental. As if Dr. Ariaee isn't great enough, his staff is just as excellent. The front reception staff has helped me with insurance issues to make sure I am paying minimal out of pocket.
