I thought that I would have to choose from two different scents, but instead I needed to choose the brand first. It sells all the popular names such as Nivea, Johnson and Johnson, Raddox, Vaseline and Dove. All bottles cost only 2 Euro. I was so excited I bought all kinds of stuff to pamper myself. I ended up saving a lot of time by coming here. Instead of having to stop at the hardware shop, I was able to find double-sided tape here. Because it's located in front of the Luas, I didn't have to lug my shopping home either. The Euro Store on Abbey Street is a real life-saver.

Now, this location is an outlet, meaning they sell merchandise from past seasons at a reduced price. The prices are indeed reduced heavily, but the fact that the starting price is so high means the reduced price is still high. I took a look around the store and was dismayed that I couldn't even buy a single item. Even a bra was only reduced to 27 euros. Sad face. If you are a camping nut or just enjoy being outside, this place is worthy of a stop in. Their stuff is really excellent and fun to just look at a wish for, as I do. The main drawback is that, because it is an outlet, you don't have as many options. You're definitely not seeing their full range, which is even more impressive.

If you need anything for a specific holiday coming up, they'll have it. Right now, there's a wall dedicated to Easter and St. Patrick's day. They have a great school supply section, along with Art & Craft. It's very handy! Be careful, though, you could end up spending a lot in here. It's easy to forget how much you're spending because everything is cheap but it all adds up at the end. Overall, this is a one stop shop, so if you're ever in need of anything, Mr. Price will have it!

They have completely rearranged the store and it's honestly a million times better now and definitely in a much more presentable state for a shop on O'Connell Street. Homewares are now located upstairs instead of in the basement, and there is a couch area across from the changing rooms at the back of the store for people to take a little rest which is a really nice and sophisticated addition, I don't think I've ever seen a seating area in any Penneys store besides at the shoes. Great area, same up to date stock as Mary Street store and saves you having to tip off down there if you're in a rush.

Brainchild of a former Heaton's exec, and with stock sourced from German retailer Netto Marken-Discount, the shop itself is a rough and ready answer to "Where can I find bulk packs of detergent for less than a tenner?" I still have to do a price comparison on those 6 and 12 packs of diet coke with Tesco across the street - but I'm pretty sure this is the only spot in Dublin where one can buy Chef Tony Smart Lidz (and at a discount!)... possibly the only place in Ireland. But, as with most discount places, get in here while the getting's good. Stock changes as fast as the suppliers can scoop up new shipments of seconds and off-runs of name brand goods. While the shop opened in September of '09, the place feels like its about to close any minute, with unfinished screed flooring and bare fluorescent lighting highlighting all those bargains. Worth stopping in for the odd browse, this seriously discount outlet still has a lot to learn about selling with style.

I have never been in a Tiger store before but I was really surprised. They sell all kinds of little gadgets and styling office supplies and other random things. They pride themselves on low prices and nothing in the store being over 30 Euro. They had random iphone cases for only 3 Euro and lots of little unique random things. It reminds me of Ikea a little in that you walk in with no specific purchase in mind but walk out with tons of things. It is a nice store and setup well for browsing with a nice circular path leading you through the store and finally to the checkout lane. Staff are friendly and helpful too. I will be back.

I found this amazing Asian market on my last full day in Dublin. Oh how I wish I'd discovered it on…read moreday one. I was told there are plenty around, but this is the one I went to closest to the Temple Bar area. They had any and everything you'd imagine from snacks and seasonings to meals and plenty of cookware. I like to try a variety of international snacks whenever I travel out of the country, this time was no different. It's become a satiable and exciting experience for me over the years. I hope to return someday and explore this Asian market even more.

The range of useful and not-so-useful items, from superglue to headphones and anything in between, makes you either want to run out or dig into the pockets to see how many bargains you can make. That's exactly what I hate about these kind of shops. I always end up buying some crap I don't need just because it's cheap. How can I not buy new kitchen utensils when they costs only € 2? Or a 3-Euro knitted ear-warmer? It's cold out there you know. Poundwise can be handy when looking for a casual present. Not to say that you should do birthday and Christmas shopping here, but for fun gifts for no particular occasion you'll have plenty of junk to choose from. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
