I dont know why I haven't come to this place sooner. This place resells items that Amazon gives them, or places like Walmart that werent selling out of certain things, and you can find cool stuff for cheaper prices. They are closed on Thursdays to restock, which means Friday's are the most expensive days to buy things, but every day after that goes down in price for items until the next Thursday. Shout out to the employee Carlos for being super cool and helpful! And the male manager/supervisor who was working this last Friday night, also. Great staff, very friendly. Meh... I've been to the one at the mall first and this one is not the same. Went on 7 dollar day and NOTHING was worth that much.... Mostly trash and junk. Yes you can treasure hunt but I haven't seen any real treasure yet. One dollar day is pretty much just junk you would throw away. Weirdest thing about this store is signs everywhere telling you not to open boxes but they are not marked so of course everyone opens it and dumps it like a heap of trash. How you going to buy an unmarked unopened box?! My friend likes treasure hunting in here she says but I just don't see it. The employee there not treated people good and there was a lady today. There was a lot of things in one bag all of them saying the bag was sealed and she want to charge me for each piece, but I told her that bag was on these box I think they tried to open people. I don't recommend that this place I recommend the other place in the mall. It's way better people treat you better. They don't try steal from customer. read more

I've been here on $1 day and $15 day. $1 day: While the bins were overflowing with items it was all junk in various poor condition. It was stuff that was sifted through 100's of times previously. Most of this stuff wasn't worth a buck except to hard-core resellers. Despite that, some people had shopping carts full of this crap. $15 day: I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the $1 junk was gone and this was all fresh merchandise. Still, nothing that I thought was worth $15. Many items I'd pay $5 or $1 for. The stuff here just isn't on par with the $15 stuff from Escondido's other salvage store, Last Chance. Nothing from Amazon here, only some stuff from Target. Is it worth a visit? Sure. Either come on $1 or $15 day. Probably $15 day. Keep expectations low. NOTES: - Deal Hunters is a salvage reseller. Salvage (In retail terms) is basically returns, damaged items, stuff that was previously on clearance but nobody wanted, and stuff marked for the landfill but somene was willing to buy a pallet of it at auction. Buyer beware. Sure, you can find good deals at places like this if you come on the right day for the right price point. What a strange wondrous place. According to the clerk they are a clearance house for Amazon, Target, Walmart, anywhere else they can find things. It's a crazy mess of stuff, and the prices are mysterious. I got two items - one was labeled $25, the other wasn't labeled - and my total came to $11. Most of what they had, quite frankly, looked like junk. Stuff I'd pay to have removed, or toss right in the bin. But there were a lot of people hunting for dealz. I had a very negative experience at the Deal Hunterz in Escondido on November 7, 2025. I went into the store with my two-year-old child and was unable to find an empty shopping cart. I temporarily moved some items from a cart to accommodate my child, and when a manager named Raphael approached me, he escalated the situation unnecessarily. He called the police and publicly humiliated me and my child in front of other customers for what? lol His behavior was aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. I feel unsafe and disrespected as a customer and will not be returning. I hope management addresses this behavior and ensures staff treat customers appropriately because what the hell was that, mind you I'm 30 this mans in his 50s he went out his way to come back and tell me he was disgusted by my act and I was disrespectful and rude after he gave me a new cart? Not worth it. I thought we could find some good deals here but was disappointed. We were interested in a washer listed for $699 with regular retail noted at $899. We found the exact washer was being sold online at Home Depot and other retailers for $745 brand new with warranty. We spoke with an employee who said they could reduce the price to $650. LOL not willing to buy from this store for a whopping 13% discount and zero warranty. Rip off. Usually liquidation stores honor 50% off market retails, but not Deal Hunterz. read more

Came in on a Friday which was $10 day. You definitely have to dig in the bins to find things, it's not for the faint of heart! They make a big announcement via a bull horn when they put out more bin merch. It's loud and annoying but I guess it gets the shoppers attention. The merchandise I saw seem to come from Amazon, Target and Kohl's. It's good to look items up online to make sure they are worth the price. To give you an idea, here is what I purchased for $10 each: 7 inch Cleaver knife 6 Clear fridge bins 2 cushioned kitchen mats 3 16oz liquid dish soap plus dispenser 12 small gray storage trays to organize bathroom drawers or cabinets Rotary tool with various blades and a carrying bag 40oz Owala hot/cold cup 12 small glass containers with wooden lids Make sure you have the time and patience it takes to look through all the bins. This place was straight up disgusting and weird. The floors look like they have literally never been cleaned and the workers are rude and inappropriate. To start the furniture/ appliance side was wildly over priced for the condition and value of the items. And the bins side had stuff that literally had no use and was either broken and way over priced for what it was. I was also confronted by a worker who told me I wasn't able to open the boxes (mostly everything is in unlabeled boxes so you literally have no idea what it is) and told me that I had to buy everything sight unseen. This was lame but there was a product I wanted that he took from me and gave it to a mom suggesting she might like it because he WAS HITTING ON HER. I came in for the second time ever, this time looking for a few dressers and Jennifer went out of her way and helped me look through so many boxes and all through the furniture side. Still decent but not as good at it used to be. They have made it not much fun to shop there. There is a male employee who goes around looking at everyone making sure you don't open boxes. I swear he stands staring at me, which is really uncomfortable. I'm a really honest person, so I don't like being treated suspiciously by default. It takes forever to stand in the line to get boxes open, for stuff you usually don't want, so I end up leaving stuff behind. And it seems like they may be combing through getting the better stuff out to sell in their regular for sale side. I'm not sure anyone is going to buy the things there, because they are used and often full price or more. I see the same stuff week after week in the bins. There used to be some good deals, and there seems to still be a few. But overall this place is getting less crowded for a reason, and may go out of business soon if it keeps on this same path. I'll keep visiting every so often, while trying to find other similar options. read more
