Listening to the music from the Shiloh Band.
Lucky S.

Just like to thank the friendly staff at this amazing little hole in the wall. We were able to get an amazing burger with some pretty damn good potato salad. Then outside for some great sounds from the Shiloh Band. Really enjoyed a great evening.

Very cool little dive bar! Super friendly bartenders and chill atmosphere. My only complaint is that I drank 3 dos equis and all three had rusted lips. Bad taste until i throughly cleaned it off.

A dive bar if I've ever seen one. A small hole in the wall place that you can easily pass by if…read moreyou don't know what your looking for. It's a small brown building with a small parking lot next to it. It's nice though that its open at 0630 so that the nightshift hospital staff can come here and decompress or send me off on my last day. First thing you notice about this place is the smell of urine from the bathrooms. You get use to it after a bit. As well as the "regulars" hanging out at the bar area. It's extremely small. Area for a pool table, some tables at the far end by the bathrooms, and a long bar counter. At least the tvs are nice and clear and big to watch games or sports as need be. There was a good 18 of us here. Prices are rediculously cheap. I'm glad they understand it's a dive bar and should thus be dive bar prices. A michelada was $4. A mimosa was $5. Bag of chips was $1. They have these sour candy shots for $4. The sour candy shots were really good. Michelada was simple. Bloody Mary mix with beer. But they were well made. I also had a crown royal apple with redbull that was really good. I don't remember how many drinks we went thru but it did the job and we were all feeling good. Customer service is good. Dude working behind the bar worked fast. I hear this place is pretty good when the sun is up, but has a pretty rough reputation at night with lots of shady people coming in at night. I definitely wouldn't come in here by my self even in the day time. But with a large group it's pretty cool. Nice and cheap. If you don't mind the urine smell and dilapidated look.

Didn't kick out the girl that put hands on me but kicked me out and never refunded me for the drink…read moreI payed for that I didn't get to drink.

It's definitely a dive bar and looks like one, but it has so much character.. both the place itself and the people. A good time if you're looking to socialize or just get a cheap drink. 10/10

I was cautious at first because it looks sketchy from the outside, but so far I haven't had any issues. The crowd consists of locals that go there regularly. So far, the people I've met out there have seemed cool and friendly. It's usually Bri (or Bree - not sure how she spells it) when I stop in. She's been nothing but cool and nice since I've been going. Very down to earth. She's always on top of things and I never had to wait too long for a drink, even when she's swamped she still checks to see if people are good on drinks. They got a wide selection of booze at dive bar prices. There's 2 pool tables as well as a juke box. They don't serve food, but they do sell snacks like bags of chips. Would be nice if they had more TV's since they only have 1 on the side wall. I try to stop by once or twice a week when I'm in town. It's a solid place to unwind, have a drink, shoot some pool or shoot the BS with the locals. Cheers!

Thirsty Thursday adventure continues. Seen peeps from another mother. Beers were ordered & served…read moreimmediately by amazing baristas. My shortfall was not traveling with my plus one's cue stick for poo therapy. I highly recommend The Brig for watching your favorite sports team, celebrating a significant moment in the walk of life, or just gathering with friends old & new to enjoy good words good thoughts good deeds.

This posted 13 years ago:…read more I'm not even a Bar person. I am a Karaoke person. To me, there is no bad Karaoke. Either you clap 'cause it's great, the person really tried, or just because it's OVER. The first time I went to the Brig I was impressed by some of the clientele at this rather cheesy location on Blackstone (where it has been forever) that night..... I remember one really large young lady who didn't spare the tattoos but most people were so friendly and down-to-earth that I just had to accept them, missing teeth and all. This is how it should be. NO POSERS OR HATERS ALLOWED.I felt quickly accepted, myself. After a while it feels like someone's front room...if they had a bar, pool table, dart board, jukebox, and ATM machine in it. Country. Rock. Ballads. Substituting your own lyrics. ("Turn around, barfly." Can you say "Total Eclipse of the Heart?") Joy. Peace. Karaoke. Can't we all just get along?? Oh, the Humanity....... I've seen people of every age, race, and socio-economic status at the Brig, which I happen to enjoy. Hoopties, Harleys, and Jaguars in the parking lot .The décor is interesting when you take the time to look at it and the bathrooms are clean. I always feel safe and have a great time... which is the only reason I would ever bother to go out in the first place. Joe, Donny, and Brian are the best 'tenders alive (in my humble opinion), are skilled at quickly defusing any potential "situations".....and yes, it's Brian with the Lynyrd Skynyrd T-Shirt, ZZ-Top key chain, and that world-famous Mullet. He is a DOLL and so entertaining it hurts... since you just can't stop smiling. I like Wednesdays when Doug is the K-J, and there are typically less drunks about on the street than there are on the weekends in Fresno and I don't have to feel like I'm taking my life in my hands just to get there. Lucky me, I work nights and PM's so I never have to get up early, even during the week. Doug's still working on his song selection but he's so cuddly that I just have to "Wave my Hands in the Air like I don't CARE!!" Five Star Dive Bar. Yes. Two thumbs up for The Brig. 13 YEARS AGO - what's happening now. No Donny, no Joe, no Brian, Tonya the "door gal" has now become a bartender...
