Had high hopes from the outside, but service wasn't great and food was just ok. They are a cash only place, which I don't mind, but it was the first thing out of the bartenders mouth, and she didn't offer where the ATM was....I had to search for it myself. The next thing was "you have to come up here to order". A better approach would have been, "welcome in, we're cash only, but there's an ATM next to the restrooms if you need it. And I'll take your order up here (at the bar) when you're ready" read more

I'm a day drinker. There I said it. I go to bed at 8 or 9, even on the weekends, so I prefer to day drink. I love a good dive bar. This is a great place to day drink. My husband and I stopped in while we were in town for vacation. We had a few rounds of drinks. A local even bought us a round. I played all my fave songs on the juke box, and it was a jolly good time. This place has great dive bar prices, and we even had a few kamikaze shots as if we were still in our 20s haha. read more

The pros: parking! Plenty of parking available in the parking lot! Food was good "bar food". Music was awesome! Think 90's hip hop, R&B & current country hits. The cons: CASH ONLY -did not know until it was time to pay and looked for a sign. There's one with sticker all over it and hard to see above the bar. They have an atm but you'll be charged a steep $3.25 usage fee from it. No receipts! Lol o asked for one (business lunch) and they said "sorry register doesn't print them". As if that's an acceptable answer. They did how we offer and give me a paper receipt. Super slow service (expected in a small town I guess), lack of "effs to give" about customer service as everything is with a snails pace (except food prep), and had to ask for everything from, can I order now (as she sees me and continues to write on a board the specials of the day), as well as condiments, drinks and trying to pay. I wouldn't go back or recommend. The kicker....a customer (white, bearded, 65ish) yells out as we are leaving (me and my coworker-who's a black female, I'm Latina) what do you call a black Obgyn?! Very disappointed. Ive heard a lot of good things about this bar so I finally decided to take my wife so we could have some drinks. As soon as we walked in there was a couple there that said hi to us & another guy sitting at the bar said hi to us as well. The bartender seen us & didn't even acknowledge us as if we didn't belong there. So we still sat down at one of the tables "thinking" eh maybe she's having a rough day. I told my wife I'm going to give her 5-7 minutes to ask us what would we be having to drink. That was some wishful thinking. (In your dreams Pedro‼. In...your...dweeems...) She was having to much fun with all the other ppl in there that she knew. Hell I even thought it was karaoke night as they kept singing amongst each other! & don't let me forget to tell you that it wasn't a pleasant smell in there either. Worst place ever. Went in with a couple of friends for a weekend beverage. We sat down and waited for assistance. We saw one gal behind the bar but she was very busy talking to the men at the bar. We waited and after 1/2 hr we decided to leave. Bad bad service. read more

This bar is a great dive. Their drink prices are the best in town and they even have a pool table. In regards to the food it is only available during peak hours, but it's also really reasonably priced. The only, and I mean only downside, is the fact that if no one has paid for music then the bar goes from loud and poppin' to dead and dumbed down in a matter of seconds. It can really kill a good vibe but other than that this bar doesn't disappoint. read more

If I can give it 0 stars I would, definitely worst bar I've been to. Bartenders were very lazy and didn't want to make drinks only shots but what topped the night was couples of opposite sex coming out of the restrooms was beyond disgusting. Was just stopping by to pick up my friends cousin. We had a few drinks, friendly atmosphere, the food is good too. Then we left good time!!

Sooo I came back finally during the day and the scene was entirely different. Very quiet, the patrons were nice, and the bar was clean. I ordered the bloody Mary, and it was delicious. The only problem I have is that they only except cash, but atleast they have an atm just in case. The outside of the bar is very clean, and the parking is good too. The cook is awesome and im not trying to be bias because I do know her, but I know she cooks very good on a personal level:)I'm definitely coming back to have another day time drink! read more

I have been here so many times and have never enjoyed myself. It is never my idea to come here. with as many bar fights as I've been involved in at this bar, I find the people very disagreeable, I wish they would just ban me so I can use that as an excuse whenever my friends want to go. This place consists of Hicks with attitude, Hookers with attitude, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way I mean prostitutes, thats what I mean, drug dealers who won't sell drugs, gang members who are actually the most agreeable group, not that I typically enjoy that type of company. Once I threw up all around the entrance where I decided to lay down for a bit, either they didn't care or they didn't notice, neither would surprise me because that type of scene would take nothing away from it's elegance. Guys, do not go here looking for women if you have standards. read more

There are no strangers at the Santa Fe Station. Nobody knew my name and I didn't look like most of the people there, and yet we had a rockin good time. Isn't that amazing? Maybe there is hope for humanity, yet. When people are allowed to go out and have a good time they do and the Santa Fe Station is perfect for gathering with other like-minded freedom-loving people. Red neon and "cash only" are two of the defining aspects to this bar. Cold beer and large shots are readily served, and they'll mix you a drink if you can't get along with something simple. And if you can't get along with those behind the bar, you're just not getting into the vibe of this cool dive. The bar was packed when we walked in -- not a seat available. We ordered shots and beers and by the time we got them there were some tables and chairs cleared and we were able to park it at the bar for a few more. People came and went and we met some super cool folks. There were kids in their 20's up to the timers in their 70's in all shapes and sizes sharing the good times. read more

Unfortunately, you have to take Greyhound if you want to travel last minute to "Visalia, CA. Airfare is ridiculous on short notice and Amtrak doesn't travel there. So, I realized I was way too early for my trip and no one was there @ Greyhound but, druggies and transients. So, I asked my driver if there was a restaurant and he took me here. Have you ever seen a Western Movie where the good guy walks in and the music stops playing and everyone just stops and stares? That's how I felt walking into Santa Fe Station. I have tattoos and my ex played in a band with Hell's Angels plus, Devil's Disciples were my 2nd family years and years ago. Anyway, they were not friendly...especially some witch who was playing pool with a guy she was using for drinks for herself and her friends. I offered her quarters when they didn't have any to play pool. She gave me a curled lip and snubbed me. The guy she was with just said: No thanks, I got it. From there on she had it in with me...giving me looks and having the guy say rude things under his breath about me. I stayed to myself except to get a beer and even the bartender was rude. I didn't tip her ass. The only people that were friendly were two guys as I was walking out and so were they. They told me to be safe when they found out I was going to Greyhound. If you don't know people there or you're not a regular....expect the cold shoulder and dirty looks and to be ignored. read more

Seriously the greatest bar in visalia, welcoming environment, awsome bar tender, and the jukebox has great music (offspring, CCR, Metallica) but could have a little more...Pool table in back is fun too...Highly recommended read more
