Amazing that they were open the day after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately they were running out of bagels quickly this morning and the poor girls working alone had a lot of orders to fill. But we were in no rush so we waited. Keep in mind this may not be a quick stop if they are understaffed. Overall my bagel was amazing. I love how much I could customize it. It was a bit expensive so I wouldn't do it all the time but I was a nice breakfast treat with family. Highly recommend getting their sourdough loaf to go. My favorite parts: the pastries, doughy bagels, generous spreads, and delicious coffee My critiques: there's always a wait when you order in-store (this can be avoided by ordering online before you arrive), and parking around 10th and Bay isn't the best. Dead End is one of my favorite spots for grab and go breakfast and pastries. It's close to the 9th street bridge, open year round, and the food is delicious. Great food I had from somerspoint place so I wanted to try this location. Crazy long waits. We ordered in person and from when card was swiped to walking out door it was 35 minutes. Unfortunately, a few months ago they decided to post a customer in a "Trump was right about everything" hat and continued to stand by it and mock people who expressed that it was wrong. I have been meaning to try Dead End Bakehouse for a few years and was surprised to see that it only had 3 stars on Yelp. A few different things thwarted our attempts to visit over the years: weather, Covid, even a fire! We went for a late breakfast on Sunday (11am) and the place was pretty empty. It looked like they still had most items available, including delicious looking homemade pop tarts on the counter. I must say that I love the branding of this place. They are owned by the same group that owns Sand House and Drip & Scoop, all which have really great interiors. I got an Avocado BLT on an Everything bagel. It may just be because I have not had a bagel in a long time, but I though this bagel was amazon. I would have gotten a different sandwich though because a BLT on a bagel is mostly bread. My girlfriend got the Honey Ham, which is Pork Roll and Habenro Honey cream cheese. It was amazing, She got it on a poppyseed bagel which really paired nicely with the ham. My friends got the Bacon & The Goat avocado toast which looked really good and was certainly a big enough portion to split between two people. We sat outside in their bright orange chairs (love these) and enjoyed the nice day. This place is quickly becoming a staple in Ocean City. Whether you are hungover and looking for a greasy breakfast sandwich or picking up a dozen bagels to take home, this is the place for you. The location could be better but there is usually plenty of street parking along Bay Ave (or on the *Dead End*). Definitely stop by! read more

There is no flow to the space. Line backs up out the door, straight down the middle and divides the space. People are then waiting on either side of the line, making it hard for people picking up to grab their food. It's chaos. And on the weekend, the line goes out the door as early as 10AM. We decided to go a bit early (9:30) to grab a bagel sandwich, another half-dozen bagels, and a tub of cream cheese. But I can't recommend enough that you skip out on this place. The line is a complete disaster; people just mob the counter, and the workers obliviously greet whoever pushes their way up front first. These workers are beyond unprofessional, and none of them are at all productive despite there being so many. As my partner was ordering our half-dozen bagels, the woman behind the counter was more invested in conversations with coworkers and checking her phone, and four times asked us to repeat. And then the wait -- there were only a handful of people in front of us in line, yet it took nearly 40 minutes to make our bagel sandwich. My partner went to ask a worker about it, and the worker simply shrugged her shoulders. My partner almost never gets angry, but after a half-hour of watching the workers run around like chickens with their heads cut off, she was fuming. I cannot make up how terrible this experience was. And somehow the workers even managed to forget our cream cheese. Yikes. This is the kind of establishment that predicates itself on being trendy than on offering consistent, high-quality food. To be quite frank, I am struggling to find a substantial reason to even give them 2 stars. The space is cute, but there is no AC, making it hotter than the summer sand. I suppose the only saving grace was the French Toast bagel, which was a surprisingly apt homage to the breakfast classic. But all the other bagels were tough, almost like they had been leftovers from the day before. And the bagel sandwich (on a Squid-Ink bagel) was nothing special at $7.
