Hubby and I stayed at the hard rock hotel for a concert and as we were heading home we found this little gem not far off the path. The bagels were huge and delicious. Garlic, onion, everything, chocolate, blueberry, jalapeno, poppy, plain and egg. Did not see any cheesy options. Non-plain bagels flavored well. Garlic cream cheese nice and pungent. Also have a row of self-serve freshly brewed drip coffee and some pastry options, like muffins. They also do breakfast sandwiches on bagels. Stopped here on my way out of Ocean City and so far it is the best bagel spot I have tried in this area. Tons of options! All the bagels and muffins looked great, which made it very hard to decide what to get for breakfast. I stuck with a breakfast sandwich (turkey bacon, egg and cheese on a super everything bagel). The bagel was soft, the turkey bacon was nice and crispy, and the eggs were cooked on a stove! I love when bagel shops actually grill up their eggs compared to microwaving them- it makes a HUGE difference. I was very tempted to buy a cookie or muffin (the banana chocolate chip muffin looked amazing!). Hopefully I will be back again to give it a try. read more

Love it here. I'm a longtime customer, but I beg of you, can you please put up a sign inside that specifically states where the line is. I'm really getting tired of out of staters cutting the line and assuming you can wait in a separate line by the fridges. Everytime I come here, I constantly have to battle with people who cut the line because they assume there's more than one or that they can cut because they called ahead. I think if you put up a sign that states where to stand regardless of pickup or new order, that would be great. I think all of the local customers would appreciate that. Let me first state that the bagels, sandwiches, wraps and condiments are top notch. No does Bagels better. Today I ordered online which I never do. I usually ride up and order in person. Couldn't get thru to place order for today either. Two breakfast sandwiches only. I couldn't place the order unless I paid in advance. Not a problem. However, being charged $1.50 for convenience and $1.50 for take out is a problem. #1 the last time I did an in person visit, it was suggested, buy store personnel, that I order online or by phone. #2. How do you dare charge a take out fee when your entire business runs as a take out? #3 The time slot given was for over 30 minutes, which is not the problem. The problem is that the sandwiches had been completed long before I arrived. I don't enjoy cold food. Of course I'm going to return to Hot Bagels. I just wanted people to know about this. read more

One of the better bagel places I've been too and highly recommended if you're in the Ocean City area. I had an everything with egg salad. Bagel was very solid and so was the egg salad. My bagel is fairly similar to Absolute Bagels in NYC. However this is better. It has super short lines in the morning. At most there will be 5 people or so in line at about 10 AM. I love this because the toasted plain bagel with cream cheese isn't so toasted that it's like biting into grilled cheese, but it's still a little crunch. The cream cheese is a little less like whipped cream compared to Absolute Bagels. The taste of the bagel is also really balanced the cream cheese isn't too strong or too light. All in all, if you are in the Delaware Valley or near NJ go here instead of NYC. read more

Definitely the best bagel shop I have ever had a bagel at. Always so soft and fresh. I also absolutely LOVE the brownies they sell there even though I am not sure if they are home made or not. The owner of hot bagels is amazing. He is so friendly always smiles and says hello. As for just about everyone else in that place, ugh. Today I specifically asked for the center pieces of brownies. I told her I didn't care which ones but I wanted center pieces and asked her if she knew what I meant. Rudely she cut me off and told me yes, but yet I still got an end piece. So she was rude and acted like I was being another picky annoying customer, literally gave me the middle brownies on the tray, and gave I believe the owners wife a look. I left a tip. Overpriced there as it is and I don't mind leaving a tip but when I leave a tip you say thank you. But these young girls that work there are paid under the table and have no manners so why waste my money on tipping people who are rude and don't say thank you anyway.
