Egg & Cheese on a Plain Toasted
Brad M.

It always gets better here with every new thing we try. This time around we got breakfast sandwiches which were of course great. Bennie's bread was like a roll but I forgot to get it toasted. Both sandwiches were filling and so good. Definitely get it toasted always though. The cookie is amazing. I mean look at the size. Just get it no regrets. BUT... if you don't get this jelly filled cookie then you'll be missing out on the best snack they have here. Get a dozen of them and enjoy yourself on the beach. So soft and the jam has to homemade but isn't too sweet.

Pork, eggs and cheese. Very good.

Been here twice this week. Maybe a bit pricey but not too concerned. Great service and the pork roll egg cheese was yummy.

Bennie's Bread is in a convenient location. I stopped here on my way to the beach and found street parking right out front. They bake their own rolls daily and I'd give this breakfast sandwich a solid 4 stars. Online ordering was not available when I tried so I called my order in. The employee was pleasant on the phone and my order was ready when I arrived. I would add that I found the pick up process a bit confusing - it would be helpful to have a pick up order line (perhaps I missed it).

"Green Eggs & Ham" on bennie roll

Absolutely loved Bennie's Bread for its breakfast sandwich this weekend - the "Green Eggs & Ham" with pesto, eggs, prosciutto, and cheese was so so good. I'm really excited to try the other sides and baked goods inside - they looked tasty (if a bit pricey). Side note: there is a real battle going on in the OCNJ sandwich scene - I see Boyar, Bennie's, and Sandwich Bar all competing for best sandwich in the town. Anxious to continue seeing other spots!

They've got so much to try and love! So many different options that all looked really good I went simple with a Meatball sandwich and it was just lovely. The meatballs were flavorful and spiced perfectly with thyme and whatever other love they put in there. Fantastic bread and sauce! So many salad and pasta and anti.pasta offerings...and they ALL look good We came in not too long before closing but the staff did not rush us and they were super helpful answering all my questions and giving menu advice!

3.5 Looking for something it grab on the go, eat at home or sit down for a meal Bennie's bread is a great option on asbury street The tomato and mozzarella salad had peppers and onions. The seasoning was a little lacking but the ingredients were fresh. The pasta chicken Caesar salad had huge pieces of grilled chicken. The dressing had a good flavor and the pasta was just firm enough not over or under cooked. The chicken pot pie was still warm when I got it home. The crust was flaky, buttery with a crisp outer rim. The inside was filled with corn, peas and carrots along with nice size pieces of chicken. Big enough to sh

Great walk-up sandwiches & outdoor seating but check limited hours before arriving. Convenient location near everything.

Great bread selection plus some good take out Italian food alternatives. They are not shy about their pricing however.

They just have to take time to do it because that's why they're so good to take the time to do it, they even make their own breadcrumbs, their own pickles their own barbecue sauce, hot sauce and everything else and I love this place. My favourite is the hoagie the cutlet hoagie or the lobster roll. The fries are insane! They Hand cut them! The only thing they put in the fryer or fries everything else is made the slow way the old way and that's why definitely call head and definitely in the busy times of the year they run out of things and if you want the pork, they stopped making it at least 5 years ago, I'm not sure which one. They get very very busy so definitely call ahead also the ambience cannot be beat because it's right on the beach block. Basically there are three houses between them and the beach and you can see the dunes and feel the breeze from the ocean. There aren't a lot of outdoor tables because they are a takeout restaurant and also because Ocean City does not allow this with their zoning. I've read the reviews that complain about this and as my favourite restaurant I take offence because it's not their fault and people that are angry maybe should just ask! By the way the cutlet mini is still on the menu. It's just not written down. You just have to ask for it, it's a secret item. Hope this helps and also they take credit cards now I follow them on Instagram like religiously. I suggest doing so as well and I suggest ordering from the current menu which comes out in June every year. I I'm surprised I'm not twice my size because of the amount I ordered from this place! It is normal to find oneself with a peculiar sense of being without time, and being within a coca-cola controlled dimension between ours and that of our forebears. It is crucial that you ignore any compunction to run screaming out the front door and onto the streets of Ocean City. I assure you, they are not there. What you see through those windows is an illusion to illicit comfort in your mortal mind. In actuality you have been removed to an extra-temporal imposition of Americana-kitsch. Once you have reconciled this fact and cleansed yourself of any unclean thoughts you may proceed to your booth, where you will order one cheeseburger and one strawberry milkshake. It is important that you order only these two items, as ordering any others will upset the delicate harmonics that weave our world with it. You will enjoy them. You will Pay. Only now will you be returned to our reality. It is an archaic anti-theft measure, but it is an effective one. You will leave. Be safe.
